An airy gourmet bar nestled within the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa, LeBar is uniquely designed after 19th century Colonial Pavilion. Overlooking the resort’s
33 meters pool, the sun-washed bar serves as a perfect spot for idle afternoons or for ladies to enjoy a tètè-a-tètè with friends and family. By night, the dark timber furniture set a luxurious atmosphere as LeBar transforms into a glamorous alfresco bar overlooking glistening waters under the stars.
Relaxing ambiance in resort style. Though cleanliness of utensil can be improved. There were stain in tea cups. First cup was lipstick stain and second was tea stain.
Very friendly service!
My French classic high tea experience at Le Bar Sofitel Sentosa is awesome! I was very awestruck by the beautiful high tea box with the magical sound of the eiffel tower, not to mention the eiffel tower is rotating too. The high tea box feels like a fairytale. Till today, I am still awestruck by it. The high tea food was good. My most favourite is the salmon round sandwich, the chicken wrap and the coffee cake. Service was spectacular. I was mostly attended by two indian men there and they were very helpful, patient and polite. Sorry, I do not know their name. If not, I could do a shoutout here. I can't eat pork and so when I discover that one of the sandwiches has pork, they were super helpful to change for me. One of them was helpful to turn down the fan lower for my partner who felt cold and another one was helpful to roll up the "rain cover" for me & my partner to enjoy the pond view after the rain. Price wise, I must say it is very super value. Ambience wise, very cozy and tranquil with beautiful views of the resorts of all corners. I simply want to go here AGAIN!
This is the worst service 5 star hotel restaurant I've ever tried！There were only five tables on the day I went, but everyone had to raise their hands when adding water, call other services and paying the bill, and the waiters just gathered around the bar to chat!!! I’ll never go to LeBar any more, I’m also Sofitel member, service like above one only only Appeared in S G
We felt that the sweet items were too many and would love to have more savoury items. Also we were not informed that we can only have 1 drink selection. Otherwise, we enjoyed the ambience and the seating was comfortable. The service was okay but can be better. Another point of irritation is that I received a call the day prior to confirm my reservation and I was told that I would be seated at Kwee Zen as Lebar was overbooked. The reservation site should have a limit set to prevent overbooking. I felt it was unfair for us to be seated elsewhere as I made the booking really early like a month before.
For that kind of price it's not that worth and quality is just ok. They also didn't inform us that we can only choose either coffee OR tea and can't change it thereafter. Coffee was extremely diluted, too much milk was used.
The high tea food was nice
Everything was great! Loved it! Will come back again for the festive tea time 😇
French Classic set - the sandwich bread is too dry already . Chocolate eclair- too soft because of the heat Very generous with the different types of coffee. Get to try different types . TWG tea in cast iron pot is c good
The table service was impeccable! Will definitely be coming back!
All are very nice. But for beverage if can add any ice tea. It will be better. As I know high-tea always comes with hot tea. But in Singapore so hot weather. If can serve ice tea, people who can't drink coffee. They can have one more choice.
Food was great and worthy of value
It was really unfortunate that your URL http://bit.ly/FestiveHighTeaSRS allowed booking from November and there was no indication on your website nor your IG ad that says it will only start in December. Moreover, I specifically requested for seats near the pool view. When I reached, someone was already seated at the seat. When I asked your service staff isn’t there another nicer seat, she told me the rest was for bigger groups, except the two seaters. From when I arrived at 1.40pm, I sat and observed till I left at about 5pm. The bigger sofa seats were given to pax of 2 too. While I understand requests are subjected to availability, I don’t think my request was actually taken into account seriously. Also, food was only served at about 2.30pm after a really long wait. No updates etc. I went to the ladies and my husband told me when the high tea set arrived, the lady seemed like she didn’t know to place it on the left or right side of the table because there were plates and cups occupied. Instead of asking, all she did was to stand there and my husband had to read her telepath and moved some things on his own, so as to accommodate the high tea set. Is this the level of service we expect of Sofitel? Besides, a male staff asked my husband if he would like another drink when he was clearing our table and my husband requested for cappuccino. It never came and we had to ask again when I re-ordered mine. We have been to Sofitel a couple of times and have always been happy with the place. Have also booked your suite before. Yesterday was by far the most disappointing experience we ever had. I even tagged your social media account and lamented a little about the experience. There was zero apology. Really? The only lady that was acceptable in terms of service was a young Chinese lady wearing white, with a ponytail FYI.
Food is decent. Service is good
It was a lovely tea/lunch with very nice ambience. Particularly yummy were the vanilla passion fruit tart, praline eclair, salmon avo bagel and proscuitto coffee fig jam sandwich. My suggestions to better the experience are: 1. Allow the menus from Kwee Zeen and The Cliff to be available for consumption there OR allow the tea set to be available for consumption in 1 or 2 of the other outlets. Then we can balance a more savoury lunch and finish off with the largely sweet tea set. 2. The desserts were lovely in themselves but as a whole there was a little too much of creamy/soft mouse types making it a little heavy after lunch. Could balance with a few more cake sponge and fruity dessert varieties.
We had high tea in the afternoon and drinks in the evening. High tea food quality was disappointing. The scones were hard and dry. The rest of the items were too sweet for our liking. The ambience overall is very nice. Chill and relax. However the manager has very bad attitude and customer service. Every single time before we could convey our request or question, he jumps in and cut our sentences. For example I said we made reservation at 1pm (he jumped in to say it’s fully booked and no table for us) and if we could go back to the room to change first (he said he cannot hold the reservation and will have to release our table without even asking us how Long will we take to come back). Subsequently after high tea, I wanted to know how does myResortglass voucher works as it is a all day voucher. Can I leave the bar and come back later in the evening for the drinks. He jumped in again before I could complete my sentence and said that no you cannot use for multi day. That is not even my question. Overall I think he is very impatient and his tonality is bad and this is not what I would expect from a luxury brand hotel. The rooms and surrounding is great for a getaway but with such service level, I would not come back sofitel again. And that’s the same I would advise my friends and family unless sofitel can improve on the service standards comparable to a 5* hotel.
We had a special time there. Thank you.
1. Service staff seem to be very bored and unenthusiastic, taking their own sweet time and attitude was just ‘sian’ (for lack of a better word). 2. We selected peppermint tea as one of the drinks from the high tea set. The staff just refilled with hot water so the tea was pretty tasteless soon after 3. Ambience is nice and calming. Although no aircon, I think the fans are good enough. 4. The food esp the sweet desserts, was pretty dismal. I love scones but the scones were too hard and dry (not fresh and buttery). Thé éclair filling was interesting and tasty but the choux pastry was just stale as if leftovers from 2 nights ago. The molten choc cake texture and taste was a bit odd. As a whole the desserts seem to have been maybe brought in and out of fridge so they have dried out and just not presented the way it was meant to be.
While the tea set was value for money, the lacking of service staff was appalling as I waited 20 mins to get my hot water refilled for the tea.
it takes quite awhile to serve the high tea. it will b better if can shorter the waiting time.
Had French high tea on a Sat afternoon. Open air setting is supposed to give alfresco atmosphere only when it is not TOO HOT! The fans were spoiled and we couldn’t get change seat. Can imagine, the dessert all got melted after 10 mins! Terrible experience.
We went for the high tea. Okay in terms of food quality. A bit disappointing that we could not get refills, but acceptable in terms of price. What annoyed me was that we could not switch between coffee and tea - both were free flow, so it should not have made a difference. Restaurant does not serve tap water either, which is incomprehensible.
