An airy gourmet bar nestled within the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa, LeBar is uniquely designed after 19th century Colonial Pavilion. Overlooking the resort’s
33 meters pool, the sun-washed bar serves as a perfect spot for idle afternoons or for ladies to enjoy a tètè-a-tètè with friends and family. By night, the dark timber furniture set a luxurious atmosphere as LeBar transforms into a glamorous alfresco bar overlooking glistening waters under the stars.
1. It’s too hot, we werre sweating and eating 2. Probably you could get the staff to use a trolley to push the high tea boxes out, instead of them hugging and bringing it out. With them hugging and carrying the box by via, the food inside might risk being toppled. 3. Some cakes “melted” after awhile and it is difficult to get it out of the musical box. 4. Terribly understaffed. When we just arrived there is only 1 staff, subsequently 2 more came but mostly to deliver food and clear dishes. Staff are trying their best but think they are overwhelmed thus not attentive enough. We waited quite awhile to have our bill.
Went for the mothers day tea time promo. The presentation and ambience was a 10 out of 10 but the food was 2/10 and was definitely not worth the price and traveling time. Out of all the items, only the scone was the nice.
The high tea set was fine. We ordered another dish of butter chicken and a plate of Naan not knowing that the butter chicken comes with 2 naans as well. We have too much naan in the end. Your waiter could have advise us that that the butter chicken include naan so we do not have to order 1 more dish. So we have some sweet dish and some curry chicken but we were not offer a change of plates. Even when your waiter came over so many rounds to refill our drinks. It's a 5 star hotel, so the crews should be more aware of this. We book the table as an accor plus member , it would be good for the waiter to advise us that the 50% discount is only applicable if we order 2 mains. Not until when we ask for the bill then you let us know only that 1 main dish entitled to just 25% discount. The level of awareness of your crew could have been better. Thank you
I went for High tea at LeBar on a weekday afternoon. It was quiet but the restaurant allows floor polishing when guests are around. The noise kinda spoil the quiet ambience I paid for.
came over during my staycay 23-25Apr. The French decor is chic, but that's as much as this bar goes, the service is lukewarm & attention to details lacking. First, was ushered to a table which the fan is not working (*they agreed very quickly to a new table). The choices for beverages, below standard - I had stayed so many Sofitel in this region, this one is by way the poorest. The non-aircon climate warmed beers too quickly. Bar that does not serve small bites (eg nuts or chips). I did not feel welcome at all
The service quite slow and limited. Seems like the hotel does not have enough service staffs. These are noted in other restaurants too. May want to consider online menu booking capability...take a look at tanjong beach club for their online booking system.
Food need to be improved. Tasty not good. Too sweet, fruits like strawberries are unripe. Coffee frm Nespresso even cannot taste the coffee flavour. So hot.
Very cosy and perfect place to relax for some drinks and food. The ambiance was great and staffs are very attentive
Very warm for afternoon tea, slowly spinning ceiling fans are quite useless in this weather. Not a pleasant place for high tea unless you like being hot and sweaty. Staff are friendly but a little clueless, bringing tea/ coffee without sugar and then later without teaspoons.
Great value high tea compared to other places. The food is very sweet and would benefit from more savoury but the menu is online so we knew to expect this. It’s a bit warm but the open air environment is otherwise nice.
1 of lady staff is very friendly however for the male staff, it is very difficult to get his attention. He took about 10minutes++ to refill our tea. As we couldn't finish the food and asked for takeaway, staff passed us a disposable box and asked us to pack ourself and also without giving a bag too.
Extremely short of staff, there’s only Vanessa making the drinks for the whole crowd for high tea and one Indian supervisor running the whole operation and one trainee boy doing the running of the high tea box. Service was snail crawling slow and the stress level of the staff has made a few mistakes of our order and also delay in service. The staff are very rushed into everything and walked past us with stop hand sign to signal us they are busy. Other table’s guests seems impatient and also have the same issue couldn’t get the staffs attention or staff are too overwhelming. I would not blame the staff but definitely the F&B director and human resource director’s bad operation manning especially on a peak hour like this on a weekend high tea period. As the service level has been affected, the qualify of food is equality been discounted. We have just stayed in Ritz Carlton which is totally different experience. Equally same peak hour but we can see other department head even F&B Director and other department head came down to help out to ease the flow. Probably the GM and other head of departments are playing golf at somewhere or hiding. (just the impression we get)
The pastries are nice and the scone is warmed. Nice ambiance too. Me and my gf had a great time there. Thank you!
To be honest the serving is really slow. Have 1 or 2 staff running the whole bar can be really challenging. I looking at him service 2tables of 8s, at least 5tables of families, and he being the waiter, the bartender, the cashier, the receptionist of the bar. Yes, this covid-19 he shall be the best staff of the year.
Thank you team for wonderful arrangement for wife birthday !
Nice food selection with reasonable price.
Great atmosphere and nice service. Food served is bit cold and need to keep reminding for glass of water. Reasonably priced. Will go again for atmosphere and just the drinks
My first time dining at LeBar, the atmosphere was good. It was almost feel like I was in Bali Resort. The staffs were attentive and friendly. I order the High Tea for 2. Presentation was good but most of the pastry was too sweet for my tastebud. Perhaps you can consider to cater to less sweet pastry for customers who prefers healthier choice.
Attentive service, lovely ambience. Totally enjoyed my afternoon time. thank you to the wonderful staff!
Great place and service. They also gave us a nice slice of cake additional as we just finished our 10th anniversary. Will visit again.
The experience is amazing! We were late for our appointment but the staff - Vessnasa is super kind and made exception for us, she called the chef and make the afternoon tea! She is very friendly, cheerful, professional and I wanted to say a big Thank You to her!
It was nice but it could have more sandwiches. Also it was my birthday and I wasn’t even offered a free drink. I think it should be free flow champagne for what you pay with the plus plus.
The food were slighty sweeter than expected. Despite being a person with sweet tooth, I still think that the sweetness could have been adjusted to a slightly more acceptable level. Nonetheless, it was a great dining experience with y'all. Thank you so much for your kind service.
