About Lea Marston Hotel
The contemporary Adderley Restaurant located at Lea Marston Hotel near Sutton Coldfield, is decorated in a smooth and understated palette of aubergine and grey, providing a look and feel which, like the menu, is equally suited to refined business dining as it is to romance.
Passionate about cookery and sourcing the very best ingredients, head chef Richard Marshall and his team produce seasonal a la carte menus inspired by British and modern European flavours and almost entirely local produce. In addition to the sophistication of the a la carte, the Adderley also offers a stunning Sunday roast, already extremely popular with in the know locals.
Hathaways Bar offers a truly rustic feel with exposed beams, open fireplace and an eclectic mix of furniture. Offering real cask ales from local brewer Churchend Brewery.
I have made a complaint about our visit I’m still waiting for a reply I would be grateful if I could have a call back on 07847392275 thank you
We had a Sunday lunch both having the beef. Whilst mine was ok my wife's beef was in edible it was full of sinew and could not be cut. It was replaced but with the same result she eventually had the roast pork which was delicious. We have been several times for Sunday lunch and this was the first time we have had to return a meal. The elder waitress handled the situation extremely well and should be congratulated it is because of her that your ratings are not lower
Really friendly staff. Great atmosphere great servive lovely surroundings
Enjoyed our lunch in the refurbished Hathaways.
Had an absolutely brilliant time, booked for my friends birthday and she loved it! All the staff were friendly and attentive, the selection was delicious and just right! Will be back again! Thankyou!
Excellent food at discounted price. However, the usual cost of £18.95 would be a little steep for lunch. Will definitely visit again before the end of February.
Sunday night review, bad points tv and music via CD on at the same time and a live band practicing next room souding into the resteraunt, good points nice food very good staff
Lovely afternoon tea
Lovely food ,great service ,drinks a bit pricey but the staff do a great job with the service they provide
We had a lovely time this week end, 6 th year at the hotel ,always great food staff & service ,thank you, it was my husbands birthday 🎁 gift.
We had a really enjoyable meal. The staff were very helpful. Especially with one of our party being Vegan. Everybody enjoyed the food. Very good value for money. Very relaxing, as we were left alone once we'd had our food, so that we could chat. We will definitely tell our family & friends.
We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel and although the food was excellent the service was poor. At dinner I had to ask twice for the wine I had ordered and then again for water. At breakfast we never saw the waitress / waiter to ask for coffee I had to get up and ask someone going into the kitchen twice.
i felt that hardly any thought had been put into the gluten free dishes. Only one choice, parsnip soup, for starter: roast beef main the yorkshire was removed and no cauliflower in sauce, pretty poor really! The pudding nothing on the main menu but the usual, boring brownie! I really believe this could be improved without compromising the dish choices. As you can see I rated 5 star for the other catogories.
Five adults booked in for Sunday lunch which was delicious and very competitively priced. Having booked in advance on line the price was discounted which made the overall cost very reasonable. Seems churlish to make an observation but a greater selection of roasts would have been welcomed.
Incredibly poor service. Got left alone far too long in the conservatory. Had to hunt staff down or wait at the bar to request pot of tea then after 45 minutes ask about sandwiches. Despite being local, won't be coming back.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the spa facilities were relaxing. The room was clean and well presented. The only thing letting the stay down was the hathaway bar as there was no atmosphere and the food wasn't that impressive, also the new part of the bar felt cold and empty, maybe it needed the lights to be dimmer with some music playing in the background as it felt like we were in an exam. Apart from that the stay was lovely and the breakfast was very nice. We would stay again but maybe eat out next time
A long wait for food in Hathaway’s Bar, has to go and ask for dessert menu and then go in search of a spoon to eat dessert. Ordered homemade puff pastry and it looked and tasted like a shop bought pie. Our room was spot on though and overall for the Sunday night offer we had, it was good value.
The staff were helpful and pleasant and we were well supplied with tea all afternoon. The cakes and sandwiches were nice. The radio blaring in the background didn't do anything for the ambiance of an afternoon tea though.
Visited Hathaway’s for afternoon tea with my two sisters,we all enjoyed the experience, the food and the service.
Guest comments were you could buy the same prosecco cheaper in Asda so thought was much too expensive. The Festive Afternoon Tea was lovely.
Fab Sunday lunch brill service and support for gluten free yummy food. Def recommend
Staff attentive and eager to help. I met with 2 friends for afternoon tea it was friendly and welcoming.
Extremely disappointed with our experience.
Friendly, accommodating staff. Mostly good service (one drink we ordered failed to arrive). Delicious food, ample portions. Plenty of choice.
