About Lea Marston Hotel
The Brasserie Restaurant is decorated in a smooth and understated palette of aubergine and grey and is complemented by the newly refurbished Bar 76 a new contemporary, bright space in which to relax and enjoy a leisurely cocktail or coffees before or indeed after dining.
Passionate about cookery and sourcing the very best ingredients, our head chef and his team produce seasonal a la carte menus inspired by British and modern European flavours and almost entirely local produce. In addition to our fixed price menus we also offer a selection of specials and our stunning Sunday roast – booking highly recommended.
Hathaways Bar offers a truly rustic feel with exposed beams, open fireplace and an eclectic mix of furniture. Offering real cask ales from local brewer Churchend Brewery.
Service took a while to arrive, even though we had pre-booked. However the afternoon tea was very nice, ambience could have been better. All in all not too bad, if a tad expensive for what it was!!
Beautiful food which was served very professionally. Good value and very comfortable surroundings.
What a wonderful night we had once doors between the Brasserie and bar were closed, there was a wedding party in the bar, only whilst they prepped the room but the noise was unbelievable, hence the lower score for atmosphere.Everything else was great.
Excellent all round experience, Well done team lea Marston hotel!!!!!
Always friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. The team in the spa were especially welcoming to my son who was going swimming. 2nd time staying and would always come back
Excellent as always xx
Service was slow, Yorkshire puddings were missing, vegetables all on the plate instead of separate dish to help yourself and 3 halves of roast potato. Very disappointing.
Had a lovely meal with my family to celebrate my new job. Staff were friendly and helpful, the food was incredible and we will definitely be back.
Had a lovely afternoon for my dads birthday. Nice outdoor space for children
Mustard to hot on ham sandwiches. No menu or options mentioned on what tea was available when ordering was asked if we wanted tea or coffee then heard someone ask for earl grey so didn’t know this was an option. Only 3 tables booked no real atmosphere unfortunately. Service was attentive
As always a delightful break at Lea Marston to celebrate our anniversary. Service and food second to none. Thank you once again all at Lea Marston for your warm welcome and professionalism, see you again soon!
The service from the staff was excellent but some of the food was disappointing. The starters were good and represented value for money, but unfortunately some of the mains were a let down, especially the burgers which were dry, tasteless and appeared processed rather than homemade. The homemade pies were also poor, but on a positive note the Fish and Chips were excellent. As it was my Mum’s 80th Birthday and she was footing the bill I decided not to make a fuss on the day The looked after us well so a big thank you to the young ladies that served us.
Excellent meal, very good value
Excellent service- lovely staff- particularly from the lady serving our table- she went out of her way to make us feel welcome and ensure we enjoyed our Sunday lunch.
Service at first seemed a little on the slow side given that we were the only people having afternoon tea. It was approx half and hour before any of the food was brought out. The menu online is different to the actual one on the day (sandwiches are far more basic) and the children’s afternoon tea was not available so my daughter has an adults meal. Overall the food was very good, service a little on the slow side but with afternoon tea there is no rush. Main issue was that a manager from the spa felt it appropriate to use the public bar area to complete a staff disciplinary meet with a member of staff, totally out of order for both use and the member of staff! (Duty manager was informed)
Gorgeous afternoon tea and my daughter in laws dietary requirements were met
Great tasting, good quality meals. Wide choice on menu. Excellent service. Expensive wine. The price advertised on the website ie 2 courses for £14.95 and 3 courses for £16.95 was not the same as on the menu handed to us on arrival - £19.95. We pointed this out to the waitress and fortunately the online price was accepted.
Excellent meal and surroundings would say try them you will not be disappointed.
Very friendly & knowledgable staff and I didn’t wait an age for my food
It would of been 5 stars, we had a lovely time All the staff in the hotel were amazing including the housekeeping couldn't fault really friendly. The only thing for us was the spa staff made us feel very uncomfortable the receptionist never smiled we hadn't been before and she was very abrupt as though we knew what we should be doing and we weren't offered a gown and had to ask for slippers. Didn't feel confident or comfortable having a treatment as they were not welcoming either. The hotel and all there staff they deserve 5 stars.
Usually very good but not quite so good this visit...some food choices not available, ham hock starter which I'd fancied. The beef main was an extra £2.95 which I felt costly for the 2 slices. Fortunately I like fat on meat, others might not. Crumble was 'assembled' strange BUT chocs given for my birthday, nice surprise AND server was spot on 10/10! Nice drop of red but measure was ultra small compared with other restaurants. Shall hope this was a 'one off', however restaurant always used to be full...is that saying something?
Good value, quality and service
Fantastic value my parents loved it.
Food was lovely although service wasn’t great, even though they weren’t full. Staff were friendly but took a while to take our order. We had a roast dinner and had to ask for the roast potatoes that were forgotten. Food was nice though
The only downfall was that the scones were hard
