About Lea Marston Hotel
The Brasserie Restaurant is decorated in a smooth and understated palette of aubergine and grey and is complemented by the newly refurbished Bar 76 a new contemporary, bright space in which to relax and enjoy a leisurely cocktail or coffees before or indeed after dining.
Passionate about cookery and sourcing the very best ingredients, our head chef and his team produce seasonal a la carte menus inspired by British and modern European flavours and almost entirely local produce. In addition to our fixed price menus we also offer a selection of specials and our stunning Sunday roast – booking highly recommended.
Hathaways Bar offers a truly rustic feel with exposed beams, open fireplace and an eclectic mix of furniture. Offering real cask ales from local brewer Churchend Brewery.
The pub food menu could really do with a wider choice of options. The cost of the drinks in BAR76 also need review. The price of the craft cider at over £7 per pint is excessive. At breakfast the plates are really too hot - even with use of a napkin and we had to search through the pile for a clean plate as they had been poorly washed.
Please pass on a huge thank you to all the staff involved in our afternoon tea we booked for my daughter’s 18th birthday on Saturday. It was absolutely fabulous and they all worked so hard to make it a very special occasion for her. We were put in a private room which looked beautiful and made it even more special for our party of 15. I really couldn’t fault anything from service to value it was 10/10. Thank you so much.
Was only one person serving on the bar no waiter service at table was just like sitting in a public bar no atmosphere at all
Food was delicious and served hot.
Lovely hotel. Great Service. Friendly staff
Fantastic Venue & Relaxing Environment Fantastic Afternoon Tea great Value for Money will recommend to all my Friends
Staff on duty in the Hathaway bar and lounge were excellent very attentive. An enjoyable lunch experience.
My wife said it was one of the best Sunday Lunch's she has had anywhere
Both had a burger which was burnt on one side. Sat at table 26 and there is a shelve by that table that’s extremely dusty needs some attention.
Great place to meet up with friends and have a relaxing meal
When we booked the Steak night on the website it has Sirloin or Ribeye but on the night it is only Rump steak, so the website is misleading. My Wife's steak was ordered as medium to well done but when it arrived it was almost raw so she had to send it back to the kitchen. The waiting staff were excellent though totally understood where we were coming from and gave a complementary drink to my Wife as compensation so all was okay in the end.
Food choice on a Sunday slightly limited. Beef a little too rare. Fantastic atmosphere and surroundings.
The only down side was breakfast.orderd scrambled eggs never got them..was not enough staff on for breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
We ate in the bar and despite the menu clearly saying the steaks were served on volcanic rocks they were brought out on cold plates. When I asked why I was told you needed to request the hot rocks? Menu clearly says otherwise. Would not correct. Also the kids eat free was not mentioned despite us having 3 with us and when we raised it I was told to sort with reception when checking out? Why? Real shame. We enjoyed our stay put dining really let it down.
Food was lovely and staff really friendly
We came for afternoon tea for my nieces hen party. We all had a lovely afternoon tea. The food and service was excellent. We would recommend Lea Marston for future events.
Absolutely appalling to say the least. We had many issues and list is too long.... manager is well aware. Really hope the service for guests who book these special deals through third party companies receive a better service than me and my family did or I should say didn’t... Please be aware despite letting the manager know if your ordering shoestring chips they are the thick cut and definitely not lace like... totally deceiving. Cold food. Poor quality. Be prepared to wait wait wait. In the end despite us asking and asking we had to have our dessert sent to our room at 10pm bare in mind out table was booked for 7pm!
Booked a table however we seated ourselves after waiting for welcome from staff which didn’t occur.
Disappointed with the whole experience, we have dined here on many occasions but this was awful, after been seated for quite sometime we had to alert a staff member to take our order, food was very average, soup was cold and no bread roll offered, although butter was on the table , waitress was very young and clearly hasn’t had much guidance on how to serve tables , very sorry but will not be returning to eat in the Adderley.
Very enjoyable lunch, excellent meal and good service, we will definitely be back.
Lovely afternoon tea. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food lovely. Could be improved by more savoury and less sweet food. Perhaps serve crisps or chips with sandwiches and then less cakes. Overall a really lovely afternoon and great service.
I bought afternoon tea for my mum as a late mother’s day gift. She loved it. She had plenty of variety to choose from and left the hotel full up. She said it was lovely and the service was brilliant she was made to feel great.
Lovely afternoon tea, food was delicious and excellent value. The only thing I would say would make it better is if specialty teas were offered as an option.
Food was delicious, service very slow considering a pre-order. Very busy maybe cut down on numbers for a quality service. Drinks arrived after starters
We had an afternoon tea on Sunday , which was delicious and very good value for money
