About Lea Marston Hotel
The contemporary Adderley Restaurant located at Lea Marston Hotel near Sutton Coldfield, is decorated in a smooth and understated palette of aubergine and grey, providing a look and feel which, like the menu, is equally suited to refined business dining as it is to romance.
Passionate about cookery and sourcing the very best ingredients, head chef Richard Marshall and his team produce seasonal a la carte menus inspired by British and modern European flavours and almost entirely local produce. In addition to the sophistication of the a la carte, the Adderley also offers a stunning Sunday roast, already extremely popular with in the know locals.
Hathaways Bar offers a truly rustic feel with exposed beams, open fireplace and an eclectic mix of furniture. Offering real cask ales from local brewer Churchend Brewery.
Slightly disappointed by the slow service, afternoon tea booked for 4pm but we didn’t have any food until 5pm, there was a wedding on and they did explain there had a been “a rush on”. Food was excellent when it came.
Fantastic day thank you . Kiran was mine and my daughters therapist , she was so lovely best treatment I have ever had. She is a credit to the hotel
We had a lovely stay, and would not normally complain, but would have to say that we found our room rather noisy - there were children outside the window kicking a ball up against the wall for a couple of hours, and then we were woken by the tractors collecting the golf balls very early on Sunday morning. Also the service at the bar was very slow.
Seevice was ridiculously slow. I asked if i could order a drink twice before going to the bar to order it myself. There was a problem woth the vegetarian sandwiches so they took our afternoon tea and gave it to another table. We had ro wait a further 40minutes for our food. We had to ask for the bill 3 times before finally going back to the bar to pay. Really really slow and disappointing.
Excellent day. Only fault was that I selected Pie on the menu but was told that there was no pie lids. So it was more like a stew. Was lovely but really should of been taken off the menu if not available.
Food was very tasty and well presented but my husbands steak was Luke warm and had to be sent back.the waitress dealt with the problem very well.the restaurant did lack atmosphere.maybe tablecloths would help.
We arrived yesterday for afternoon tea and were placed in the shottery unfortunately we were placed right near the radiator and the heating was on full blast which made it quite uncomfortable.
We have always been pleased when we have visited here
Good food and service, a good night out 3
Friendly staff food was delicious but service a bit slow
Good food, attentive staff, great value as part of a "stay & dine" package.
Thoroughly enjoyed our spa break. Just what we needed great service from all the staff. Thank you.
My wife and sister came for afternoon tea with there aunty .they said food and service were excellent and compared to other afternoon teas at other venues Lea Marstons was good value for money . They said Jason shorthouse was very good made day more than enjoyable and nothing was to much trouble.
The staff were very efficient, friendly and service with a smile. The food in the restaurant Saturday night was delicious and beautifully presented. Our bedroom was clean and very comfortable.
Staff friendly and attentive - really enjoyable stay
Excellent meal and hot!
Was surprised to be charged for robes and slippers. Not many toiletries and the lamps in the room were not working. But these things did not spoil our trip and we had a lovely time. The spa experience was excellent.
Lovely hotel, room 129 - nice stay, room was lovely - very welcoming by a lady that knew the hotel on reception - unfortunately it poured down on our wkend over Easter. Will stay again - also we have been to abbey hotel. Food lovely also
Lovely relaxing experience. All staff very accommodating. Beautiful and comfortable room. Thank you
Everything was perfect for afternoon tea for my mom's 88th birthday. Lovely setting in the conservatory. Staff very helpful bringing out my mom's birthday cake. Very polite staff and food was faultless.
This will be around the 5th time at least staying at this lovely hotel. All staff amazing, room beautiful, food and service excellent. A big thank you to Dawn Smith for arranging our booking We will be returning very soon THANK YOU
Everything about the hotel, spa, restaurant and staff was amazing. Had a wonderful relaxing spa day and beautiful stay in a suite before my wedding. But it was so good I will be visiting again!!
We have visited many times previously and not had any problems in terms of food or service. However, we were disappointed with the last visit on Mother’s Day. We were booked in for 1.45pm but were not seated until around 2.10pm. We had to ask for the menus as these were not given out whilst we were waiting. We waited quite a while to be taken to our table. When seated we waited quite a while so had to ask the waitress to take our orders. We also had to ask for a bread roll and we had to ask again for our orders to be taken for the desserts. We heard quite a few tables complaining about the service which was very poor this time which is a shame.
Overall my experience having afternoon tea at Lea Marston was fantastic! The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. The only negative I have was the total lack of atmosphere. It was a very quiet day when I visited, there were only 7 total guests in the room and it was so eerily quiet I was almost afraid to speak. I might suggest playing some music in there! Other than that I had a great experience and would definitely return in the future.
