About La Maison
Upon arrival diners will be welcomed by Roman Khakimov the Maitre d’hotel. His high expectations ensure that the service is impeccable with sparkling glassware and starched linen napkins yet all the while remaining relaxed and friendly. The authenticity of La Maison begins with the artwork, works by Leonetto Cappiello, L’oir Dor, and Diable Vent, all sourced from the Paris at Puces market. Doisneau photographs line the stairs offering a touch of romance to this relaxed space. On the second level the dining room is light and airy, with sash windows looking out onto the bustling Castle Market Street.
Been there a number of times - Saturday was the best yet - food was top class - very good service too - nice time gap between courses - great value.
Thoroughly enjoyed delicious food, wine at this wonderful restaurant. This was our econd time to la maison and we look forward to returning again very soon.
I am pretty sad to do not remember the name of the woman that served us. She was so nice from the moment that we arrive and she find a table even before our reserve. During the dinner, she was amazing all the time. Definitively, I would return more because the service than the food, which was good but not impressive.
Great French food in the heart of Dublin
The waiter who served us was fantastic in letting us know we may have ordered too much food. At first I was pretty miffed but he was so correct!!! :) I was grateful for his advice! They also did a birthday cheer for my girlfriend (because I made the reservation for her birthday) and it was just really overall a good experience!
My wife and I were looking for an occasional Monday lunch. I had an expectation of each course of food that was far surpassed for my starter and main. We felt no need for desert. The atmosphere was relaxed and the lady who served us was excellent.
Another fabulous evening in La Maison. We both had the scallops to start which were delicious. We shared the Cote de boeuf which was mouth watering. Beautiful wine. It was another gorgeous evening under the cherry blossom tree.
Warm friendly service. Sublime food. Restaurant has old styled character.
I was with my parents, we are from France and we really enjoyed our time and the food as well. The waiter was very professional and he was very helpful. Must be one of the best French restaurants in Dublin, if it’s not THE best.
Super evening as always at La Maison. Consistently good
We ate here on Monday night, there was a great atmosphere in the restaurant even though town was quiet. Food and wine were so delicious and the staff are so friendly. Service was brilliant too, we’ll definitely be back again!
Great atmosphere. Lovely food.
Service was pleasant but quite slow and a little forgetful
Enjoyed a great meal, very good choice on the Early Bird Menue.
Great food had a wonderful meal would definitely go back
As always a really great authentic experience.
Went with some friends for a wonderful afternoon catch-up! The food and service are first class. We’ll be back.
Excellent food as always. Coq au Vin spectacular.
Thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, food was delicious very generous portions and the wine was excellent. Staff and service were excellent. Loved that we arrived at 6 o’clock and didn’t have to leave the table after a couple of hours. Ended up having another couple of glasses to finish off our evening. Well done la maison. We will be back most definitely!
Food and service was excellent. Really enjoyed the whole experience.
It was our first visit and wont be our last. Had a lovely wedding anniversaty dinner and loved your little touches. The wine sorbet the chocolates..the dessert plate. Had the prawns and monkfish both we beautiful. Have already recommended to lots off our friends. Thank you.
I was disappointed with lunch last Friday. We did not feel welcomed when, despite having made a reservation, we were directed to a cramped table in a draughty position just inside the front door. I asked if there were any tables in the inner room and as there were only two occupied we were placed there. The service subsequently was acceptable and the waitress at least made an effort.I would not describe the atmosphere as relaxed and friendly.Several times during the year I meet colleagues in Dublin who invariably book La Maison for dinner and each experience has been enjoyable and five star standard in all aspects. So by comparison my recent visit well below expectation.
Very enjoyable early bird pre-theatre. Unfortunately rather noisy foursome at another table which spoiled the atmosphere a little-nothing really the staff could so, just unfortunate timing.
The food was delicious and loved the home made chocolate at the end!
