About La Lot Restaurant & Bar

Lá Lốt Restaurant + Bar (LLRB) is inspired by and named after a wild betel leaf, called lá lốt. Lá lốt has a profound fragrance and flavor often used in Vietnamese cuisine. It is also known for its healing properties and is a key ingredient in many medicinal herbs. In food, the flavor is fully enhanced when cooked and brings forth subtle notes of peppery, smoky and mildly bitter tastes. The betel leaf is often wrapped around spiced beef and grilled.

As you enter LLRB, your imaginary journey to beautiful Vietnam will begin. The decor includes an array of colorful acrylics symbolizing the chaotic neon-lit streets of Saigon. The mural depicts the unique randomness of unruly moped riders, street peddlers, and pedestrians muddling through the throng.

The green logo, together with an interior filled with classy hues of vibrant blues and the softness of orange and brown, brings you into our culture known for its fresh, healthy, and colorful cuisine.

We began our culinary experience four decades ago when our sisters made bánh xèo (turmeric savory crepe) and bánh khọt (coconut rice cake) at the neighborhood street market stand and our brothers sold homemade ice cream bars around the city streets. At Lá Lốt we bring you a mix of delightful street foods and home cooking in an airy modern setting. Once entering our doors you will experience the true and vivid Saigon – memorable conversations, tantalizing tastes, and moments of culinary bliss.

Our passion for food, love of our culture and unity of family has inspired the creation of LLRB. The commitment to provide the highest quality of food and service to our customers will keep our legacy alive for future generations
