About Manor House at Mount Juliet Estate
Lady Helen McCalmont, the previous owner of Mount Juliet, was a superb hostess, who oversaw the gardens and kitchens with a kindly but firm hand. We believe she would have been delighted to know we have maintained her standards, and that the restaurant bearing her name also bears a Michelin Star, along with four AA Rosettes.
Our internationally-themed menu consists of dishes made using local ingredients, including many from our own kitchen garden, herb garden and farm. The atmosphere of opulence within the Lady Helen Restaurant complements the pastoral views out over the pastures to the River Nore, racing its way south to Inistioge.

Really lovely experience from start to finish.
Excellent service, lovely staff, stunning surroundings and felt very comfortable and well looked after.
The experience was excellent as always. The only downside was a miscommunication between staff members as to who was looking after our initial order. It resulted in a 30 minute delay of us receiving our chosen goods. Normally this would be no issue at all, but for a 5 star establishment you would expect those kind of details to be kept in check. Otherwise, everything was excellent. We shall be back again. D.N.
Great experience. Food was delicious. I would strongly suggest to hang coats of guest separately.
menu needs to be more creative. 1 of the 4 main dish choice shouldn’t be “steak and fries” if this is supposedly a ‘fine-dining’ restaurant. Service was nice, waiters were very kind but they should try to walk more gently when rushing around on that wooden floor. It was a bit annoying. Overall I can say it was a like a “gastro-pub” experience in terms of food but nothing more.
We were staying in the hunters Lodge and had lunch and dinner in the manor on Sunday he day where the lady Helen had an ala carte menu the lunch was delicious and the service was very very good but we were very disappointed with our dinner experience The waiter service was very poor very slow and the food very very disappointing and the table was left dirty for a very long time I didn't have the right cutlery I do understand it was the main chef's night off being a five-star restaurant I would have thought we should have still received the 5-star experience saying that the following night we spent in hunters Lodge and had dinner and breakfast in the Hound restaurant the staff the service our dinner and everything was 10 out of 10 kind regards Jackie Bennett
Quietly classy experience.
.
The festive afternoon tea was absolutely lovely and I have no faults whatsoever
Fantastic experience, sandwiches were sublime. Lovely atmosphere and wonderful service
Staff were amazing nothing was a problem to them - friendly, professional and helpful.
Food was fantastic and the staff were amazing, polite, attentive, and most importantly friendly. Keep up the brilliant job you are doing
Absolutely fabulous experience for a very special occasion, we were so well looked after by the wonderful staff!
Superb food
Lovely place and lovely people. Felt really at ease during these challenging times. Will definitely be back again soon 😊
Lovely stay. Food was unbelievable. Atmosphere was perfect. Cant wait to go back.
The standard is very high!! After this, it will be very hard to find the match. We were spoilt. Special thanks to Michael in the concierge team in Hunter's Yard..Michael has been very informative, efficient and made us felt special during our stay. We will be back!!
The service was incredible - the staff were friendly, professional and super attentive. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone considering it.
Warm, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Excellent service. We really enjoyed our stay.
Fabulous night with amazing food.
Wonderful ...thank you to a terrific team & especially to the Chef who obliged us with an off the menu choice Number of years since had been back but as good as the memories !
Wonderful evening. Only one small issue- I wish the fires had been lit as opposed to a candle in the fireplace My husband and I had afternoon tea at Mount Juliet previously and it too was superb. Thank you, we hope to return.
Excellent service
Lovely setting in the beautiful Manor House. Very helpful and attentive staff. The menu choice was disappointing in that it was very limited, particularly for anyone who is unable to eat fish. Very good quality food but rather expensive.
Wonderful experience, superb food and excellent service
