About Manor House at Mount Juliet Estate
Lady Helen McCalmont, the previous owner of Mount Juliet, was a superb hostess, who oversaw the gardens and kitchens with a kindly but firm hand. We believe she would have been delighted to know we have maintained her standards, and that the restaurant bearing her name also bears a Michelin Star, along with three AA Rosettes.
Our internationally-themed menu consists of dishes made using local ingredients, including many from our own kitchen garden, herb garden and farm. The atmosphere of opulence within the Lady Helen Restaurant complements the pastoral views out over the pastures to the River Nore, racing its way south to Inistioge.
Mount Juliet is stunning and one of our favourite places!
Very Happy with our experience in the hotel.
Afternoon tea was delicious and all the staff were so lovely and attentive. Manor House had a lovely snug atmosphere and we had a table in the window with a lovely view. Will definitely be back again.
Fantastic staff, who couldn’t do enough, and whose attitude made us feel very welcome, especially after they had just finished a very busy Christmas season, special kudos to Valerie in the treatment rooms who, gave a fantastic reflexology treatment.
Booked a table in the Hound Bar, arrived 2 minutes before our reservation at 12:30, the staff were still cleaning up and getting set up, and kitchen staff were scurrying over and back bringing produce into the kitchen through the bar from the storage area. Upon arrival was told we were 'early' (arrived at 12:28 for our 12:30 booking) and the restaurant wasn't open yet but we could take a seat and someone would be over to take our order. I ordered the steak sandwich and my wife ordered a salad. The steak sandwich was akin to something you would get in a caf, hard crusty baguette with some steak strips and salad leaves in between. My wife commented that the salad was 'fine'. Overall a VERY disappointing experience, certainly not in keeping with a 5 star resort, and not something i would recommend
Beautiful hotel everything was perfect.
We had a fantastic night at the Mount Juliet resort and greatly enjoyed the archery. We felt the hotels spa and pool facilities let them down. The changing rooms were tiny with two small benches, The pool didn't feel the cleanest and you have to request the hydro pumps to be turned on at reception which was not convenient as the pumps are the far side of the pool. the grounds and walks on the estate are very picturesque and provide great exercise. We ate in the lady helen restaurant and the food was nothing but excellent. I would definitely recommend.
As always our short break was an ideal way to get over the Christmas madness.
Great experience. Room was warm and spacious, service was attentive and food was very flavourful. Michelin star well deserved.
Had a wonderful stay. The dinner in Lady Helen was magnificent!
Staff were wonderful and we enjoyed the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere
A very pleasurable stay from start to finish, just a wonderful place to unwind and relax, food to die for. A short talk on the history of the Demesne was given by a very knowledgeable gentleman " Des" this should not be missed. Some minor upgrading works are required, broken and chipped tiles need replacing in the Bathroom and new TVs need to be upgraded, very poor sound quality.
Every aspect of the dining experience was 5 star. The ambience is second to none, as is the quality of the food, presentation and service. We drank the house wines and found them excellent. We dined on two separate nights with one night in between and tried different options on the table d'hote menu.
I booked the Taste of Mount Juliet for my husband's 40th birthday and it did not disappoint. We had a wonderful dining experience in such a beautiful setting and with all the Christmas decorations up it felt magical. Thanks again.
We had a fabulous weekend. Beautiful meal Saturday night in Lady Helen. We really enjoyed the story time with Des on Saturday evening, fascinating to hear history of Mount Juliet, more should be made of this event. Thank you very much
We really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful manor house. The food in The Lady Helen restaurant was delicious and gorgeously presented, and the staff there were very professional but also so friendly and welcoming. It is definitely worth the money, you won't regret booking it.The rooms and lounge areas are exquisite, there is character around every corner. The only area that I would be unlikely to recommend is the leisure centre which is in need of renovation and is far from a 5 star standard. The pool is cold, and most areas look worn, even the drapes from the ceiling are shabby. The steam room and sauna and basic and not comfortable. The jets are operated by contacting reception which is quite odd and does not happen in any other spa hotel, regardless of star status. I would urge the managenent to consider updating the whole spa and leisure area, and this seems to be the general consensus from all of my friends who have visited the hotel recently. This is the only negative that I have to say about the whole stay in the hotel and will certainly be returning, but will avoid the leisure centre next time.
Archery was great x our family really enjoyed it x well done to Shane he is doing a great job x food was fantastic and staff lovely x
So relaxing warm cosy atmosphere
Food and wine was overpriced for what it was.
stunning meal. great welcome
My husband and I had a fabulous weekend of relaxation, great food and surroundings to recharge our batteries! Everything about this resort is wonderful and luxurious, especially the Manor House. We have stayed in many 5* resorts but none can compare to the food and service here in Mount Juliet.
Delicious food. Beautifully presented. The comment of the night was “mmm, delicious “
Just the most amazing spot. Breathtaking. Lovely staff and great service. Food was delicious. Can't wait to revisit
