About La Concha - International Cuisine
Whether it’s the ocean view or warm breezes, every meal is something special. Experience savory seafood with La Concha’s delightful, palm-roofed ambiance and friendly service.
Service was slow and courses were delivered out of sync.
Service was painfully slow. Took us almost two hours to finish our meal.
Good salad bar.
Good night with good food
A very unorganized restaurant staff. Couldn’t get anybody’s attention so finally just sat at a reserved table. It took three requests for our guest to get her drink.
Very slow service! Food was delicious though.
We always appreciate La Concha and like the new menu. Service was a bit slow but we had a new waiter who tried hard to please. We did have an issue with the reservation but the manager found a solution that satisfied us.
With the new menu presentation has changed - Shrimp Cocktail came in a different dish with smaller shrimp - the amount of shrimp was most likely the same, but presentation was not there - Bread shrimp were served like a buffet serving not a La Concha serving - shrimp on plate and a spoon of vegetable.
Thank you for the romantic celebration of our anniversary.
We took our Godson and his family to dinner and sat outside to see the sunset. Beautiful night, wonderful food, excellent service.
I was here with two guests and was totally embarrassed! Our waiter introduced himself as Dany Boy – Daniel and said he did not speak much English – No problem we are patient. It is completely unacceptable to put someone into a restaurant to wait on tables who has NO IDEA how to be a waiter and has not been TRAINED!!! He may have worked in Pergola, Alahambra or at the pool but not at an El Cid sit down restaurant. He took our drink order and about 10 minutes later we got our four drink and he left? After about 5 minutes I flagged him down and asked if he would like to take our order. He took my wife’s order and walked off to another table and cleaned their plates. On his way back I stopped him and asked if he would like to take the order for the rest of the table. He took out his pad and with one hand tried to take the order, I told him to put down the dirty plates first. He came back and two of the people wanted menus -we had been there almost 15 minutes by now. He brought 4 menus and I told he had already taken my wife’s order and I did not need one. He took two orders but we had to point the items out to him on the menu because he did not understand what was being ordered. He then walked off. Problem being he still had not taken my order. I again flagged him down and asked whether he wanted to take my order. About 20 minutes later the table next to us came to our table and said how could they get the waiter so they could leave. They had been sitting there since he cleaned their table. I went to the Captain and asked him to go to the table next to us so they could leave. Our waiter returned about 20 minutes later and served one person their appetizer and their meal at the same time and gave my wife a late of onion rings. He also had a bowl of chicken soup, but no one ordered it. Stuffed chicken breast was ordered and POINTED out to him on the menu. I asked where the rest of the meal was and he disappeared? The only meal and appetizer was eaten and he never came back with the rest. The Captain came by and we told him no one got their meal [It was BBQ night and this now is over ½ an hour]. He talked to the waiter and got information and proceeded to get the meal out. Everything was right except the stuffed chicken breast was a battered chicken breast. They replaced it but it was so over cook that she could not eat it. I order a Presidente and black forest cake. I got a Jack Daniels and sprite and no cake. I again asked for a President and black forest cake along with “cuenta”. He brought the Prseidente and no cake nor bill. In the next 10 minutes I drank my Presidente without ever seeing the waiter again. We all got up and after we left the cake came. I told the Captain that after 10 minutes we still had not gotten the bill and he said he would sign us out. During this time on several occasion staff with covered food would stand in the isle and had no idea which table to deliver it to. These staff usually assist the waiter with bring out food, but they too had trouble finding him. If Daniel was ever to serve out table again, I will get up and leave. The saddest part is that we had Hilario the last time we were there and I wrote on the survey he was the very good waiter
My sword Fish was great and I am not a fish person. A new waiter Hilario did a great job. Great new hire. The wine list needs a Riesling.
Service was EXTREMELY SLOW. It took 40 minutes to receive our first course, and over 2 hours for dinner, so we missed the International Show. Also, a large group of teenagers in the patio area next to where we were dining were very noisy; we couldn’t hear each other talk, and the security guard & waiters completely ignored them!!
Staff nor Captain were fully aware what the Piglet was. I ordered it and it had a fat layer on it that had to be peeled off. I was told it was a tenderloin and it definitely was not. The best part of that meal was the cut apple pieces.
Good meal even thought the ribs were not as good as in the past. They were dry and not fall of the bone, but still good. Good onion soup on steak night, better than during week.
Great seafood entrees on the menu, which included a salad and dessert buffet. Please come hungry!
Love the new menu.......and of course Jaime is always the best!!
Saw a chef I had never seen before - said they are doing different presentation. The soup was missing the puffed bread that has alwasy been in there and it as cold. The tuna came out cubed instead of in strips? - was re-served correctly. I ordered a garlic lobster with extra warm garlic butter. Got the garlic butter but the lobster was a thermidor. The menu said it came with mash potatoes was served with a baked potato with sour cream. Most likely the regular chef's day off.
The food is always great and the sunsets are magnificent.
Good service and a great sunset. My Pork medallions were rather dry, but still good.
Big salad bar but no salad LOL
Was email it was closed so we booked somewhere else.
The service was exceptional. I have a gluten allergy and the chef came out to our table to discuss my dietary needs and how he would be able to accommodate me. He made delicious and healthy dishes for me, including dessert. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone with celiac's disease! The rest of my family were pleased with the food and service as well. We will all come back again.
Great steaks from the grill and very nice salad bar.
Went for steak nighton May 17. Steaks were not cooked as requested. Edible but over cooked. One was very tough. Mashed potatoes were not hot. Service on seafood night was outstanding but for this night service was off all together. Not attentive. Had to remind the waiter our guests needed drinks as well. Had to wait a while on wine and then had to pour a couple of my own glasses. Bill/check was not right and took a while to get straight therefore we missed the Sunset. Disappointed after the other night was so good.
