My husband and myself had a lovely pre theatre meal and drinks. That'se staff were so friendly and welcoming will definitely be going back again it was an added bonus to our night.
Lunch was lovely, drinks great, but for me, the restaurant and also the bar area were very cold, and I felt I need Ed to sit with my outdoor jacket on

Excellent meal beautifullypresented. Good news that high service charge has been moved from bill with gratuities at discretion. Leisurely lunch and service which suited us well . In past have found servicetoo slow for pre theatre time dinners but may haveimproved. Very pleasant staff.

Food came out cold and had to be returned. Sea bass was over cooked. Service was first class no discount or free drink offered to compensate for cold food and associated delay.

We had booked for 5 people but arrived with 6 :) Our table was quickly added to and we were accommodated. However there appeared to be too few waiting staff on for the number of diners. Our server was lovely but definitely under pressure!

Relaxed atmosphere. Nice to dine without loud music. Good central location
Food lovely, only complaint would be the beef bourguigon, the small serving dish was very difficult to eat from and disguised the small serving of meat with almost no bacon and mushrooms ,the mashed potatoes were the biggest part of the dish, very poor value. The table beside us had ordered the fish which appeared to be the better choice. I was on a day trip from Northern Ireland to have lunch with a friend so was a bit disappointed with the above and not ' value for money' as per your information.

The reason that I have scored low for food and drink is that on this occasion I had to send my steak back as it was not cooked to my liking as requested, but the worst part was that one of my guests had ordered chicken and unfortunately it was pink when cut open. The Resturant Manager did cone over and spoke to my guest but by this time she was very upset in seeing the pink in the chicken. My wife also had chicken and she was very pleased with her meal cooked to perfection. When I received my new steak it was cooked perfectly to my liking. I believe this was an unfortunate situation that evening and as my wife and have eaten at the restaurant on many occasions we have always been very happy with the overall dining experience and will continue to eat there and recommend the La Bonne Auberge.

Very poor service . Purchased a deal as a Xmas present 3 courses and a glass of wine. My parents had two courses and were charged for the wine. They ordered from the pre theatre menu and your staff brought a dish from the ala carte menu then wanted to charge them . Won’t think of booking here again better service elsewhere
Dear Mr Stewart, I am sorry that you feel that the service your parents received was not good. That is most definitely not the impression we desire to make. I admit there was some confusion on the night, however, there are parts of your review that I have to disagree with. The voucher that your parents' reservation mentioned and they presented was of a £50 monetary value, and not tied to any specific offer. This is why they were presented with both Pre-Theatre and A la Carte menus. As I admitted to your parents when I spoke to them at the end of their meal, I agree that the server who took the order should have double checked whether the dishes they were ordering were from the Pre-Theatre or the A la Carte menu (as we have a chicken and a salmon dish on both), however, as we did not receive any complaints throughout their meal, we had no reason to believe an incorrect order had been sent to the kitchen. When your parents queried the bill, and the situation came to light, I instantly reworked the bill so that your parents would not be charged for any extras and ensured that the voucher covered the full meal to make up for the confusion. I hope my answer helps to provide some clarity as to what happened. La Bonne Auberge is our “go to” place for dinner before an evening event at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall... very convenient. The food, service and atmosphere are all great. Only took a mark off re value for money as a recent pre theatre dinner at The Sage, Gateshead was less and awesome!

The staff are always pleasant, courteous and efficient and the food is excellent. Over the years we have enjoyed breakfast, lunch, dinner and pre-theatre here. The service is prompt and we have always found this to be a very well run restaurant with an interesting menu.

Had to ‘chase’ our drinks order as this was not forthcoming and were not offered a desert menu or coffeee on finishing our meal.
