Friendly service and good food.
The excellent art menus are good value.
Our 8th Wedding anniversary was made all the more special due to the service, expertise and culinary delights that we enjoyed at Kyoto Kitchen. Our first time but definitely not our last and the new favourite for a genuine fine dining experience
A real gem
Absolutely amazing as ever we can’t wait to return.
Wonderful food and excellent service!
Lovely meal fully enjoyed. Only complaint was the waitress was too quick to clear the plates, on one occasion when we hadn't finished and on the second occasion when one of our party was still eating. Not her fault just poor training
Wonderful setting, food delicious and owner very kind and attentive.
Lovely meal. We had the tasting menu and it was delicious. Our waitress explained each dish and was friendly and helpful.
Lovely food beatifully presented and served.
Nice maitre d, great food, lovely ambiance. My fiancée and I both enjoyed our experience.
The fantastic food was as delicious and beautifully presented as ever. There was a delay in being able to placed at our table (it seemed the on-line booking system did not link up to the reservation book in the restaurant); the owner was apologetic and kindly prepared some warm sake immediately we could take the table. Some of the other diners seemed to be have had rather too much to drink!
Excellent fresh food, beautifully prepared. Never disappointed. Salmon miso is particularly special.
We loved it. The food was great and the staff were amazing and really friendly. We will be back it’s just a Shame it’s so far from where we live!
This was our fourth visit. The previous three were excellent. This one just did not seem as good. It was perfectly acceptable but not to the previous standard. We did notice that the staff were different.
Best restaurant in Winchester!
Amazing food. Every single thing was perfect.
The food was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend, my friend and I thought it was both tasty and nourishing and possibly the best Japanese food we’ve tried in the UK! My only comment would be that the prices are perhaps a bit high for the portion size that you receive, but nice as a treat.
Excellent food, lovely restaurant
Enjoyed the meal and the staff were fantastic thank you.
The restaurant was packed and the service didn’t slip, however whilst the food was clearly fresh. I was not blown away by the taste and the bill was very high in comparison to other restaurants I have been to.
My favourite restaurant in the world (literally)!
We had the 5 course 'Taste of Japan' tasting menu, with paired Sake drinks. The first three courses were really amazingly good, some of the best food we have ever tasted. The 4th course, chicken teriyaki was not so great, with a few bits of gristle, and not so tasty. The paired Sake drinks were a revelation, and each very different. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Was absolutely splendid BUT.....one thing we weren’t pleased about is the starters had completely changed. When you’re paying for the SYOKUTSUU GOURMET menu, you don’t expect the lobster and scallops starters (which are clearly two of the highlights of that menu) to be replaced with a tuna roll and a bass sashimi. We weren’t pleased we’re weren’t advised of this beforehand either, only when the starters came out! Surely if both starters you’ve chosen as part of a menu aren’t available you pre warn your clientele. Regardless of that quite big oversight (I felt it must be mentioned) the good was delicious, the waitresses superb and overall atmosphere brilliant. Thank you
Fabulous! A perfect introduction to Japanese cuisine.
