Hardly server came to pour our wine after the first pour (we ordered a bottle of wine). Have to kept getting waiters to clear our plates. Besides it was really difficult to call in to Sofitel / Kwee Zeen as nobody seem to be answering calls. For a 5 star hotel it really fails.
During dinner local delicacy like char kuehteow not served anymore and the menu very limited for 5 star hotels plus no coffee and tea counter which some 2 or 3 star hotel provided. Chef Paul must improve if he think this is 5 star hotel restaurant
I had thought Kwee Zeen was having a French food promotion from the 1st July to the 31st July but apparently I was mistaken. However, since we were already there, decided on going ahead with the buffet available. The variety was good, food pretty delicious and service impeccable.
Am an Accor Plus member and went for the weekend buffet dinner. Disappointed when was ask to pay for coffee. Apparently coffee is serve complimentary only for walk-in and full-paying diners? Don’t understand the double standards of this treatment. 5-Star discrimination?
I booked the table via website originally. However, when I reached the restaurant, the waiter at the counter couldn’t find my reservation in their booking list. It’s weird.
Been dining here frequently since Nov 17. For the past 6 1/2 months, your waiting staffs have changed so frequently. I recalled complimenting one guy called Armin whom was so proactive, however dont see him anymore. After that (March) service went down the hill until my recent rendevous over the weekend. Todate the food has always been good and I particularly like the seafood section (cold seafood). However last 2 visits (12/5, 4/5 ) i noticed a drop in the availability of the products noting, boston lobsters, crab and oysters. Please ensure you have sufficient amounts of such products as that differentiates your buffet than the rest. Dont stinge over here. As for the cheese cold cuts I noticed some additional dishes were provided and thats well received. I also love your breads. It should be your highlight. If only you provide more berries for the chocolate fountain, that will elevate you to the next status. I noticed that you still have issues with mini small flies in the restaurant. Its quite evident at the sushi and chesse segment. PLease have a look into this. Its been bugging me since I came till now. Overall 1) Service : Please improve on this. Waiters need to be more attentive. I notice some improvements keep it up. 2) Food : Dont stinge on your good points. Biing
The lunch selection was enough compare to most hotel in Malaysia but someone can do it better. The service is normal as we have to keeps on asking to refill the water, if not, our glass will be always empty. Hope the hotel can keep up with the services.
Would be better if there’s more choices of coffee & tea.
The place looks awesome, i was excited when i entered. The turn off is the food&beverages. The variety of food offered was so little. I thought the seafood would have many choices and cooked in different ways but it happens that the seafood is either served fresh, or just plain-boiled. The majority of the food was Indian. Im sorry to say that the food i ate on that day : asparagus soup, pasta, chicken in curry, nasi briyani, sushi, and seafood, none of them impress my taste buds. I asked for a wine list and the wine list was so short, i couldn’t find my favourite wine. And then i use my Complimentary Birthday Cake Certificate as it was my birthday. And i got an “old” cake, anyone could tell it’s not freshly made (so what is the point of ordering them when booking days ago? Or is it because it’s complimentary so you gave me an expired cake?) I booked the table for a “birthday” event, you didn’t even put a candle on the expired cake. Me and my mom tried the cake and it tasted awful, so we left the whole cake there. Last year my mom and me had a birthday dinner in Spiral - Sofitel Manila, it was awesome. Completely different from Kwee Zeen Damansara. The food was various almost from A to Z, the wine list was complete. My mom got a freshly baked cake (although it was complimentary too), the waiters were so friendly that they even sang a happy birthday song for my mom (6 guys). I thought Kwee Zeen Damansara would be as awesome. I’m disappointed. The price is too high if you just serve so little variety of food. I hope you can improve your service and also do benchmark to Spiral - Sofitel Manila.
Had problems with credit card machine and did not get my credit card receipt. Food was below average and buffet not replenished despite informing the waiter. Spread was average and food mostly cold. Few waiters so was difficult to get water replenished.
The staff were friendly, pleasant and eager to help. However, they seem rather lost and chaotic. All in all, spot on in terms of courtesy and friendliness but a bit lacking in execution. Food choice was small but quality was good.
I think this is the only hotel buffet in kl who are not included coffee and tea
Food Quality is good. Asian selection is good but a little lacking for western.
