About Kopi Tiam
Delight in culturally rich flavours at Kopi Tiam, undoubtedly the perfect place for locals and tourists. Tuck into new, comforting home-style dishes like the heartwarming Herbal Duck Mee Sua, fragrant Teochew-Style Steamed Whole Seabass, savoury Cereal Prawns and of course, perennial favourites - Satay, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Chilli Crab and Fish Head Curry, which continue to delight those cravings for Singapore’s signature dishes.
Food on main menu is consistently good. Enjoyed the carrot cake in 2 styles- black and white, as well as the char kway teow. Tried one of the items on the rotating menu (clay pot dishes) which was mediocre. Service has improved. Will undoubtedly be a return customer as the meals are always satisfying.
Beef was very good! But the chilli crab was a bit disappointing.
Yummy tenderloin Satay was also good Milk tea was delicious Enjoyed our meal
We had an enjoyable night meeting up with friends over dinner. The Beef Rendang and Assam Fish is good. Prices are reasonable for main dishes but a bit steep for dessert & drinks.
The soup was not hot enough.
Enjoyed the delicious food and nice view of Marina Bay Sands from the restaurant.
We waited for 1 hour before our food arrived on the table. We looked around and saw that the other table guest who came later than us, had their food before us.
Best Atmosphere for meeting friend
Small portion for more variety will be better i mean as small as Thai Boat noodle
Great service by the team! I had assam fish and claypot noodles and they taste really good.
Tables should have table cloth or placemats
Quite noisy but food are good.
The beef rendang we ate is not up to standard. As the taste is not up to our expectation. Strong beef taste and not fresh taste. Pls check out the beef rendang at Ivins or other Peranakan restaurant to improve the taste.
We ordered 5 dishes, including fish head curry and when food were served all at the same time, only fish head curry still hot and the rest of dishes just warm. We feedback to the service staff that the Hakka pork belly is tasteless and she just replied that a lot of customers gave the same feedback. And I would like to highlight that this is a dish that "chef recommend". I have brought friends to Kopi Tiam few times but this is the most disappointing dining experience and I don't think I would recommend friends to dine at Kopi Tiam. Overall, food and service standard has dropped.
Good view and great recommendations
Service is pleasant, no rude staff, however it was understaffed during my visit. Could consider some round table of 10 which are suitable for Chinese style dining.
You definitely need more staffs to run the place. Everyone that goes there complains about your services. Instead of collecting orders from your waiter/waitress, why not use electronic means like issuing an iPad?
The fried kway teow had a nice balance of sweetness and saltiness. The cereal prawn portion was huge! Most impressive dish was the sambal kang kong! Not sure what they did with it but it was awesome!
Booked through Chope with 1 for 1 offer for main dish, it is really value for money, after all the food was reasonably good that I have visited many times before.
