About Koolba Restaurant
KoolBa is a warm, modern, and inviting authentic Indian restaurant in Glasgow, located in the heart of the Merchant City. We have worked hard and KoolBa has now become synonymous with quality Indian and Persian cuisine.
We have achieved this with our commitment to using the best local produce, fresh herbs, carefully selected whole spices, but above all offering genuine appreciation and care to all of our customers. We are committed to providing freshly made to order dishes to Glasgow’s diners. Some customers enjoy switching between our Indian and Persian dishes with each course, and in particular, many of our regular diners recommend our homemade chicken pakora as a firm favourite, along with freshly made peshwari naan.
What sets us apart from other restaurants in Glasgow? We have personally sourced and expansive wine and beer list that perfectly compliments our dishes. Please ask us to pair some for you! We believe that we have all the ingredients perfectly blended to create a dining experience you will remember for a long time to come.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to KoolBa… a top Indian restaurants in Glasgow.
Please note that customers with children should book no later than 6 pm.
Lovely meal in a lovely restaurant. Thank you
The best restaurant in Glasgow by a country mile I would go every week.but I don't want to get sick of it.lol😁immense.
If it’s quality and service your after then look no further. All main courses are made fresh from the start unlike most Indian Restaurants. Without doubt the best Indian Restaurant in Glasgow and I would highly recommend.
Mahmoud (?) was extremely helpful and friendly, was quite attentive and had wonderful suggestions. It is the best service we have had in Glasgow.
Please get cobra or kingfisher on draft instead of stella! Great food. Good service. Good value. Get the beer situation fixed please, don't want bottled beer in a restaurant with my curry.
Another superb meal at Koolba. We haven't visited for a while, but the food & atmosphere was just as we remember. Won't leave it so long until our next visit.
Fantastic food and amazing service. Great location also in the heart of merchant city.
Absolutely diamond of a place. Food was incredible and i am hard to please. Had saag paneer, chicken pakora are the best ive ever had. Melts in your mouth. Shashlik was amazing too. Hummus was yummy too. Value for money. Would definently go again. Best in Glasgow. Welldone!
Great restaurant and staff are excellent, been going here with friends & family on a regular basis for over ten years now. I have given koolba excellent reviews as they are well deserved, however we were there on friday night and my lamb tikka was dry and over cooked, i have had this dish four times, the first two i had were sensational, the lamb was tender and full of flavour, however the lasg two have been dry and overcooked. I would like to add i have had many dishes from kool ba and could not fault anh of the food until my last two lamb tikka meals. So i think its onky fair that i write an honest review when the food wasnt up to their normal high standard.
We had a fabulous meal. It was extremely tasty and very good value for money. Will be visiting again soon.
First visit of what will be many as we both loved the food and service was fantastic. Good value for money and probably the best king prawn chilli curry I have ever had.
Staff are really friendly and obliging and the food as always is absolutely fantastic. Never tire of visiting the Koolba and been a regular customer now for years. By far my favourite restaurant
Return visit and again can't fault this place great atmosphere and the food is always great am a regular customer here and the staff always make you feel very welcome look forward to my next visit .
We are regular visitors to the restaurant and we always enjoy and appreciate the food, service and atmosphere. This has been consistently good since our first visit.
Every plate of the food was exceptional - well worth the visit - but it is a little pricey compared to others in Glasgow...
The flavours were amazing, the only criticisms I have is the amount of rice did not seem enough for a portion and the naan bread was very thin. Definitely the thinnest naan I have ever had.
We were held up in traffic and were 15 min late in arriving. The manager kept our table for us even though the restaurant was very busy. We were so glad as this is our favourite restaurant we go to when we are in Glasgow. The staff are very attentive, the manager runs the restaurant very well, the atmosphere is great and the food is excellent.
Best Curry in Scotland!
First visit to Koolba for our family of 5 but certainly won’t be our last. Four of us ate from the very well priced pre-theatre menu at just £10.95 each for 2 courses and one from the a la carte which was higher in cost but food was of the highest quality. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 stars
Fantastic service as always and the most amazing food and atmosphere - waiting staff are amazing and the chefs are outstanding !
