About Kilworth House Hotel
The Victorian Orangery has become a destination in its own right. Now fully restored it is light and airy by day and romantic by night. The ever changing light means that the mood feels right any time of day for breakfast, lunch, full afternoon tea and informal dinner. The maximum seating on one table is 12 guests. Up to 130 guests can dine beneath the Orangery's glass, timber and ornate wrought iron ceiling. The Orangery restaurant is closed on a Sunday evening but dinner is served in the Library Restaurant.
The Wordsworth Restaurant with its domed ceiling, glittering chandeliers and fireplace creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere in which to enjoy a 2AA Rosette a la carte dinner. Open from Wednesday to Saturday.
The Library Restaurant offers a luxurious ambience with bookcases and a Victorian fireplace to create the welcoming surroundings with views over the knot garden courtyard. Dining is available on Sunday evenings for dinner and at other times when The Orangery and Wordsworth Restaurants are fully booked.
All three restaurants can also be booked for events, private dining and weddings; subject to availability.
The Orangery Restaurant serves an informal modern British menu whilst The Wordsworth Restaurant serves a more formal a la carte menu.
The dress code in the Wordsworth Restaurant is smart casual
We were very disappointed with our meal on this occasion. We have previously eaten at Kilworth House and loved it but would not come back again. We booked the table to celebrate my son’s birthday. The soup was very bland and uninspiring and the game terrine was dry. We told my son he could have the the chateaubriand as a treat for his birthday. When it arrived it was very disappointing. It cost a lot of money for 4 small slices of fillet of beef which were to be shared between 2 men. We were quite shocked when it arrived. We raised it with the waiter who didn’t really know what to say and apologised. We spent £265 for 5 people for my son’s birthday meal and were left feeling really dialapointed and wishing we had booked somewhere else to eat. I wouldn’t feel happy recommending Kilworth Hourse to anyone given our experience.
We ate in the Wordsworth Restaurant which is gorgeous. Three of us had the taster menu which was delicious, the improvement could be that as they're presented a reminder of what each dish is comprised of would have been nice. The service was good and nothing was too much trouble for them. Excellent will definitely be back
