About Kelvingrove Cafe
In 1896 the Kelvingrove Café opened its doors for the first time and instantly became a favourite lunch spot for visitors to the recently finished Kelvingrove Park.
In 117 years it has had many different offerings but in 2013 we took it back to its Victorian roots and once again made it a contemporary European Grand Café. We are interested in knock out tastes and flavours that complement the social atmosphere of the café.
Best cocktail bar in Glasgow. Old school elegance and phenomenal service.
The drinks were brilliant and the atmosphere was great. Service was friendly but a little slow. Aubergine parmagiana and Mac and cheese were so good, as were the sides. The chicken Milanese was a bit mixed; nice chicken but the pasta was a bit overcooked and unbalanced. Overall really lovely though, would come back.
The team who look after us at the cellar room were fantastic! Specially considering how many of us were there. Thank you
Used the event space downstairs. Great space for what we needed and the team made us some fab cocktails. We stayed after for some drinks in the main bar upstairs and couldn't recommend the venue enough.
Thank you for the great food and the outstanding service!
This is our second visit to the Kelvingrove Cafe and it didn’t disappoint! The food is delicious - sweet potato tacos, chicken Caesar lettuce cups and haggis bon Bon’s were scrummylicious! The sauce that accompanied the haggis bon bons was divine. White Rioja was crisp and fresh. The staff are friendly, welcoming and create a lovely warm atmosphere to enjoy a fabulous meal with loved ones! Thank you Kelvingrove Cafe! :o)
Staff were all really nice and very attentive!
El personal muy atento y amable desde que entré hasta que salí. La comida deliciosa, el local muy bonito y el ambiente muy acogedor y distendido, muy buen ambiente con los camareros.
Great bar and amazing staff who went over backwards to make sure my date was going well. Shamefully I got too drunk and forgot to tip but I'll be back to make up for it. Sorry!
Enjoyed another visit to Kelvingrove cafe, great service as always and enjoyed a few cocktails. This time we both had the macaroni cheese which while being very tasty, was a bit dry with not much sauce in it at all, and at £10 a dish with no sides or vegetables included, was maybe a little bit pricey? But it didn't spoil our enjoyment of our visit to this lovely place :-)
We reserved a table only for drinks at a peak time on a Friday evening. Staff were very attentive and . We ordered a few cocktails - a bit pricey but on a par to adjacent establishments. A very enjoyable end to a busy week!
Food was really good, will go back. The young lady that served us was polite, helpful, but not intrusive in any way. Sadly i didn't get her name. I will be back...
Food was great booth to ourselves great but bar service a bit slow ordered drinks to have with dinner and appeared after we had finished told computer not working but feel staff should have noticed we had not been served as had to ask twice apart from that it was goid
Great atmosphere.Food was fantastic, staff more than attentive. A great place!!
Great afternoon spent here with friends. The staff were great!
Very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great cocktails and delicious food.
Came here on a recommendation, fantastic food and cocktails -highly recommended
Great food, great cocktails!!!
Enjoyed the Sunday brunch
The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and my allergies were dealt with brilliantly. It was a lovely experience.
First class. Best bar in Glasgow by far.
The waitress was the only one on and she did so well, was attentive and never let it bother her. The amount of people being turned away proves it’s a good place to go, Will definitely be back.
We introduced friends to the wonders of the KC Brunch menu, and they loved it. Fresh food, made with quality ingredients, combined with service with an authentic smile: perfect.
Love the booths in the window. Comfortable atmospheric bar. Great cocktails and tasty small plates.
Really enjoyed my first time eating in the Kelvingrove Cafe. Great atmosohere with brilliant friendly staff who were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble even when we asked to move seat. Even though it was busy they still managed to find us a table downstairs in one of the booths where we continued our night and enjoyed it greatly. The food was delicious and we will definitely go back.
