About Kelbourne Saint
Rotisserie and Tank Beer Restaurant
The vegetarian breakfast did not taste good at all. My fiancés Apache chicken burger had hardly any chicken in it. The kids croquettes were rock hard. When we asked the server for two plates to split up the meal for our children, he brought us two dirty plates. We asked him to change them and the was no apology or even acknowledgement of the dirty plates. Nobody came to check with us that our meal was ok and the plates were not even cleared from the table when we were paying. The service was absolutely abismal. Staff did not seem to care whether we had a pleasant dining experience and the food was not good at all. The actual physical environment of the restaurant is nice enough but quality customer service and quality food is severely lacking. We won't be back. To top it all off it was actually my fiancés birthday and I was treating him to lunch. It was a huge disappointment.
Excellent service and food in a very well managed establishment. The general manager is a star.
Always nice, been a regular before, but been away a while. New menu which has more choices, which is good, but not as much of your signature rotisserie chicken?
Wonderful meat board. Too little vegetables and roast potatoes compare with the meat
Held a surprise birthday party here for my wife. Great organisation from Sandro and superb service from the whole team!
Food took a little while to arrive but it was certainly worth the wait it was delicious. It made a refreshing change to go somewhere that catered for children but also provided good food and a nice environment for adults.
Had a wonderful mother’s day lunch. The food was amazing and the service even better. The family friendly atmosphere made it a relaxing dining experience with 2 young children.
We came for Mother’s Day. The food was great. We had the roast sharing board which was enormous although I’d have liked a bit more green veg! Kids had burgers which were big. Very kid friendly. They loved playing in the garden. The manager was great but food took a while to come (ok as kids playing outside) and other staff were a bit slow. Overall we really liked it and will be back.
The place was freezing, vegetables undercooked and beef tough. I have been before and the food was better but both times the service was poor and room so, so cold. Won’t be back.
We ordered the roast sharing platter and found that the beef was chewy (so much so I couldn't swallow it and had to spit it out twice) and the chicken was dry. We had asked for yorkshire puddings which took a very long time to arrive. `When they did arrive they tasted more like bagels than yorkshire puddings. They were far too heavy, not light and fluffy like they should be. There is a nice atmosphere in the restaurant though, i just think there is room for improvement with the food and staff weren't as 'on it' as we would have liked.
Here are the bullet points: Horrifically slow service. We were there for 4 hours and spent most of it waiting on a member of staff to appear upstairs. 40 minutes passed whilst plates were served to all for the main course. Some meals served cold. Chicken Pie burnt. No dish provided for mussel shells. Macaroni cheese tasteless. Coffee served before desert 30 minutes wait for deserts to be served from ordering. Good beer but we won’t be back.
Lovely food and quirky place..liked the ambience and the decor. Attentive staff. Will definitely return.
Excellent lunch, gorgeous food, great value for money and staff were excellent, very family friendly. Looking forward to coming back and trying out the play area
Great place for a cold Monday in January when you can’t be bothered cooking.
Excellent, as always. Regular visitors to the 'Saint. Never disappointed. Great food, friendly and perfect service. Can't be beat!
I'm afraid we had a query about our bill. I felt that we had been overcharged. Some of the items we had weren't listed as such on he bill and the price differed from what is advertised on your main menu as you walk in the door and online. I sent you a respectful email about this. 36 hours have passed and there's been no response. It doesn't seem to be in keeping with your group's ethos and is pretty disappointing.
On Sunday i feel the food standard seriously dropped. My daughter chicken from the kids snack menu was over fried making hard and unable for a 3 year old to chew. My husbands burger wasnt tasty, my beef wasnt great either. My fathers gravy was freezing but was saved but his warm chicken. If we had not had our voucher for two free sunday roast we won at the easter egg hunt i would have complained as would not have been happy pay for such a sub standard meal. One member of staff was lovely and the other looked like it pained him to be paying our table any attention. Its a shame as its such a lovely place and we have spent many Sunday afternoons with you in the garden but we wont be returning for food.
Nice setting, lovely food, friendly staff
Excellent food and great atmosphere
We had our works Christmas night out at the saint. The staff were amazing from the moment I made the booking till the end of the night
Really nice meal in nice place with friendly staff
Great food & drink, lovely place. Waiter Alessandro was excellent and helped provide a great night for my gf birthday, give the man a raise.
We had a great night for my graduation. Food delicious and great atmosphere
We had an enjoyable meal with yourselves last night. Some positives and some negatives. It was extremely cold in the restraunt , the service was particularly slow and our side orders came quite late compared to our main meals which was disapointing. On a positive note, the meals were tasty and the facilities and way your staff interacted with my little boy was fantastic!
