About The Keiller Brasserie
Welcome to Craigendarroch. For hundreds of years Royal Deeside has been one of Scotland's best kept secrets, and for generations it has been the favourite retreat of the Royal Family. Here in this magnificent setting, on the wooded banks of the River Dee, is one of the country's most prestigious holiday resorts - the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Craigendarroch. Centuries of tradition and heritage are brought to life in this beautiful area, with its quiet charms and relaxing pace of life, which capture the essence of a true Highland holiday experience.
A very nice evening with friends.
Food okay but a bit uninspiring. Lamb asked for medium rare, served medium well.
Shame about the mix up with the table booking, but we were offered a complimentary drink to compensate. Food and service were really good and look forward to dining there again.
Always a great restaurant to celebrate that special occasion.
Had 2 family meals in the Brasserie. Everything was first class. Staff were friendly, service outstanding. Restaurant is welcoming and relaxed with a great ambience. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. A great experience!
Average food at inflated prices
Waitresses were efficient and helpful
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal; I had Salmon and my husband had Rump Steak. Both cooked perfectly. The dining room was pleasantly busy. I would definitely return.
Staff excellent as always. Food very good.
The food is good quality and the cooking pretty good. The prices are high compared to other places in Ballater, and the atmosphere is slightly noisy, due to the accoustics.
Despite an extensive menu showing on the Resort Info section of the interactive facility within the lodge, we were shown an extremely limited (5 main courses) version at the table. On querying this, we were told that that had been the menu situation for quite some time. I knew this not to be the case as my parents had been here using their timeshare 3 weeks previous, when the extensive menu had still been available. Regardless, all 4 of our party chose from the menu - 2 choosing the popseye steak and 2 choosing the chicken & bacon (expecting it to be a chicken breast wrapped in bacon with some sort of gravy/sauce). The steaks were completely different - one was very fatty and inedible and one was good. The chicken came out as a very dry grilled and sliced chicken breast with 3 rashers of extremely salty and very dry/crispy bacon alongside. There was no gravy/sauce and I could only eat a small piece of the chicken as it was so dry. We will not be visiting this restaurant again if this situation continues, and will instead use some of the excellent and varied restaurant choices within the village.
This Keiller would have us believe it is a fine dining establishment however the menu choices are very limited , pretentious and rather expensive. The wine prices seem to be on the high side The meal we had was acceptable but not memorable. A great shame as before the Hilton acquisition it was a pleasure to eat there.
Theo and Louise were excellent in terms of service and being appropriately friendly and welcoming.
I thought the food was a little uninspiring having eaten in other places locally.
Very enjoyable experience. Staff charming and food great.
Two excellent meals during our holiday and we've booked a third one.
We have dined here twice during our stay at Craigendarroch. On both occasions the food was excellent, beautifully cooked and presented. Wine prices were very reasonable, and the waiting staff were really impressive. Highly recommended.
Good, efficient service
Not the first time we have been and on each occasion we have had a very good Sunday lunch
We were kept waiting for service. Seating arrangements were poor we felt like we were sharing a table with the two people next to us as only separated by small partition and they were very loud talkers so we had no privacy. Soup was served cold.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They make suggestions of places t That we might enjoy visiting. Very good experience and the food was delicious.
Wine very expensive
Food was good but steak had to be returned as overdone. which was disappointing.. Staff were excellent, pleasant and attentive. Nice atmophere
We had a fantastic meal at The Keiller Brasserie celebrating our first anniversary. The staff were very friendly & all said congratulations to us both. I’d like to say that Theo who was working that night was absolutely fantastic & a credit to the the restaurant.
