excellent night out fab food and great service
Excellent dining experience. Will be going back again very soon.
Good food and good service. We dined at 5 on a Sunday and there were a number of very young children with lots of noise - OK if you have children, not so much if you don't.
One guest was Coelliac and two dishes needed to go back, as they were served containing gluten ingredients. The food was good despite this, just simple errors that didn’t need to happen, hence the service being poor.
Beautiful decor. Food was OK. Starters were lovely and a refreshingly different choice compared to other similar restaurants. The mains didn't match that initial start. This may have something to do with the fact that you tried to serve us our mains, 5 mins after receiving our starters. We asked that they be held back - so not sure if they were just left standing until we were ready? Service was initially good but as you got busier through the evening - it worsened. As I said, our mains arrived shortly after our starters. When we were ready for them - parts of what we had ordered were incorrect and we had to wait longer than necessary for them to arrive before we could start eating our main course. It took a while to get anybody's attention and even then we were just updated across the restaurant area rather than coming to the table. Average food, very poor service.
Being here 5 times since opening. Every time food is different and in our last visit we were very disappointed. Floor staff extremely professional and very friendly so problem is in the kitchen. We order chicken shawarma and got some chicken being cut to small pieces and fried and I have to say not nice part of it . My partner had lamb shawarma which was mixed with old and fresh meat and you can taste different between it . Shame because we love atmosphere and staff but definitely will not go back for meal there anymore
Great food!! Good lunchtime £10 deal too!
Service and food were both superb
second time, had the mezes this time, better than the mains last time, great staff
Great meal had by all on Saturday evening.
A lovely meal as well as a fantastic dining experience. Lebanese food was largely new to us, so we asked the management to help us choose a selection of dishes. These certainly didn't disappoint. Highlights included: the Fattoush Salad (whoever though of putting mint, pomegranate, and little pieces of toasted Lebanese bread in a salad); the Kibbeh (a sort of deep fried lamb ball); and the mixed grill (we had a small one, but nevertheless masses of lovely meat! Plenty of other foodie delights as well not least the scrumptuous homemade bread. This restaurant boasts an interesting blend of decor that brings an authentic Lebanese feel to the dining experience. The management and staff were so attentive and incredibly helpful - special thanks to Ahmed, Mo and Ashley. A final tip, enjoy a wonderful Lebanese wine. Lebanon's mighty red, Chateau Musar really does hold its own on the World stage. Inevitably that means it isn't cheap, but what a wonderful wine to enhance the evening at this fantastic new restaurant!
Great food in a fantastic setting with great service!
Nice location and decor, with good service. Starters were very nice but the main courses were extremely small (e.g. Lamb Tagine with 3 small cubes of lamb in a gravy). The vegetable tagine in particular was poor - essentially, a chopped up carrot in tomato sauce, with no real flavouring. The food was extremely expensive for what we received and we were still hungry when we left.
Kara provided a very pleasant evening for us and two friends. The service was friendly, and not rushed, and the food and drink were all very pleasant in comfortable surroundings.
first time visted Karam and it wont be the last, service, food and atmosphere fabulous. You must try the bread and butter pudding amazing thank you for a lovely evening
We had a lovely meal and will certainly be back. It’s great having such a restaurant within walking distance.
My only negative was that there were numerous items unavailable from the menu. The food we did have was very good & the staff were very friendly.
A bit over overpriced.
Very flavoursome food. And amazing teas!!
Lovely food & it’s beautifully decorated!
It was our first time at Karam and sadly we left feeling a bit underwhelmed. The staff were very nice but there were lots of things on the menu not available, one of which was hallumi which I would of thought was pretty essential in a Lebanese restaurant. Unfortunately I think we didn’t have the best visit and maybe we should try it again as what we did have was nice. There is lots of choice in restaurants in Hale so to be successful you need to be at the top of your game (just a little personal observation) so maybe as it’s new there are a few teething problems and we’d like to think it will get better as the concept is good and as I said staff were very nice.
Service was appalling. Arrived for a 8.45 booking. Showed to a chair in the bar area and ignored for 15 minutes before we requested a drink. Also had to ask for a menu when shown to the table. Ordered food and at 10.15 still no sign of it. Eventually food arrived and it was the wrong food. When the correct order arrived the food was good. When the bill arrived I was not asked if I wanted to leave a tip, it was automatically added. I would not have left a tip for such poor service.
Friendly staff, nice decor but food portions quite small and quality only average.
Fabulous restaurant - Been twice and thoroughly enjoyed, great food and service!
Poor quality food - inedible lamb shawarma
