It was our first time at Karam and sadly we left feeling a bit underwhelmed. The staff were very nice but there were lots of things on the menu not available, one of which was hallumi which I would of thought was pretty essential in a Lebanese restaurant. Unfortunately I think we didn’t have the best visit and maybe we should try it again as what we did have was nice. There is lots of choice in restaurants in Hale so to be successful you need to be at the top of your game (just a little personal observation) so maybe as it’s new there are a few teething problems and we’d like to think it will get better as the concept is good and as I said staff were very nice.
Service was appalling. Arrived for a 8.45 booking. Showed to a chair in the bar area and ignored for 15 minutes before we requested a drink. Also had to ask for a menu when shown to the table. Ordered food and at 10.15 still no sign of it. Eventually food arrived and it was the wrong food. When the correct order arrived the food was good. When the bill arrived I was not asked if I wanted to leave a tip, it was automatically added. I would not have left a tip for such poor service.
Friendly staff, nice decor but food portions quite small and quality only average.
Fabulous restaurant - Been twice and thoroughly enjoyed, great food and service!
Poor quality food - inedible lamb shawarma
Good quality food and great service. I would happily visit again!
Food lovely but party said the portions were very small. They also disliked the service charge
really nice food; wine a bit expensive; chairs are a little low for the table height; service friendly but can there are teething problems.
Lots of staff but none focussing on the customer. Had to call staff over 6/7 times if needed anything. Took ages to order and it wasn’t busy. Saying that its week 1 and in simple terms, train your staff! Some didn’t even know the menu!
We had a great time. Food and drink were good and staff were friendly. Live music was also good. Staff were happy to move us away from the draughty and busy door from the kitchens. Baby chicken and karam arrays were very tasty. Only criticism would be that the spinach stew was a bit cold.
Great food, lovely restaurant.
Lovely restaurant, very friendly service. Tasty food and unusual decor.
