About Kappou Japanese Sushi Tapas Bar
Located in the Central Business District, Kappou Japanese Sushi Tapas Bar is a hidden gem that provides affordable authentic Japanese Omakase and a wide range of Sakes, Shochus and Wines to compliment your dining experience. The cosy restaurant sits only 12 diners counter-style, a reminiscence of traditional restaurants in Japan. Helmed by one of Singapore's youngest female chef who is also the first Singaporean who graduated from the prestigious Japan Sushi Instructors Association in Tokyo. Chef Aeron Choo has appeared in numerous national newspaper articles, magazine write-ups, blog reviews and social media channels.
Kappou Japanese Sushi Tapas Bar is a reserve only restaurant due to its small seating. Please note that due to the small seating capacity, all customers must purchase at least one alcoholic beverage during their meal. Kappou Japanese Sushi Tapas Bar is not suitable for kids dining.

Chef Aeron is possible the most authentic Japanese chef in Singapore. Kudos to her uncompromising standards to bring in almost 100% of the ingredients from renowned spots of Japan that specializes in the particular items. Sashimi is very very fresh. The sauces are traditionally made in Japan. Wow! Wow! Wow!!

We had a wonderful evening celebrating a friend's birthday. Food was just excellent, drinks was awesome (from their bar upstairs) and the entire experience was great. We are so coming back !
The new menu is not as exciting and out-of-this-world compare to the old menu, maybe it takes time.

Fantastic and unique spread of omakase style with personalised service. The ingredients as we observed are prepared from scratch. And our satisfaction levels afterwards are unwavering. The drinks are unique and not the run of the mill brands.

Authentic and enjoyable experience. Food is awesome and you can taste the quality of Japan. Definitely will return and I recommend it for anyone who is looking for a good time, great food and warm service.
Creative, nice and fresh food, but a tad too much raw fish dishes for me and my wife. Good place to chit chat while waiting for the chef to prepare each dish. Not recommended for those who do not drink alcohol or do not drink a lot of it because of the restaurant requirement to order alcohol drinks for all diners.
