The Kai tribe (Turkish: Kayı boyu) was the second-largest and most influential tribe of the nine-tribe Turkish nation. Legend has it, the Kayı was the tribe out of which the Ottoman Empire emerged. The word Kayi means:
MIGHT AND POWER THROUGH RELATIONSHIPS
Fantastic service. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Definitely return.
Food was extremely tasty but service was possibly the worst I’ve ever encountered! We did bottomless brunch and had to ask 3x for refills every time we finished our drinks.
The young male waiter was absolutely amazing so friendly, all the staff we’re extremely friendly constantly topping up our drinks for the bottomless brunch. The food was nice the only thing I would say is it wasn’t hot enough it was just about warm. Really nice interior and atmosphere would definitely go back, the bottom less brunch was great!
Lovely place food excellent all members of staff attentive to service and looking after us
Wasn’t welcomed as we hoped, to say it was unlimited Prosecco was a joke, our food came before our drinks which we ordered first, then the restaurant ran out of Prosecco so we had to wait again, when we left the restaurant 1 hour after eating, our plates were still on the table. Definitely didn’t get our money’s worth
I came with friends for the bottomless brunch. The table was booked for three but we were not seated until 3:40. We were not asked if we would like a drink whilst we waited. We then waited another 15 minutes for a drink after we were seated. The waitress was run off her feet. The food was lovely. You ran out of Prosecco thirty minutes before the end of the brunch. Overall it was disappointing
Service was very poor. Food was nice. We did the bottomless prosecco deal we was seated just after 2PM and didn't get any service until 2.20pm and by 3PM you had run out of prosecco so in all 90 minutes of prosecco was just over 40 minutes so not a very good service.
Food was amazing and staff very attentive.
Lovely atmosphere and very helpful and courteous staff. The food was really tasty & well cooked. Had a great experience at the House of Kai, thank you
the portions were beautifully presented but much smaller than usual... we both had a meat dish and a side and both said when we left we were still hungry . I love this place but unfortunately I just don’t think on an evening it’s worth the full price it was £28 each with a main a side and a soft drink without starters . This is the third time I’ve been and night and 2 out of 3 where it hasn’t been right but I think this could be it always happens when it’s the managers day off
Amazing service, lovely and helpful staff and gorgeous food!! Thank you.
The bread was amazing, we had the lamb and cheese, the slad was very tasty too. However, the chicken was dry and the lamb was very fatty. I did let the restaurant manger know this and he offered us compensation in the way of a free drink each. Also, we only had a choice of Lamb shish or chicken shish from the menu as I was advised that you had run out of everything else. Which was very disappointing as there were certain things I had been looking forward to having. Over all it was a nice meal but compared to how you promote yourself on instagram ect I felt the experience was a disappointment, which is a shame as it was a weekend away for me and my partner.
Very tasty mezze dishes but one was only lukewarm and bread with chicken livers was hard. Just small attention to detail that would have taken our lunch from good to perfect.
It was my first time at The House of KAI and I was really looking forward to some Turkish food. The atmosphere was nice, but the food and service was really disappointing. The food had no taste to it and it was the worst Turkish cuisine I’ve tasted. I won’t be coming again.
Pre booked a meal for a 6.30pm sitting with friends. We were seated, ordered drinks & some sharing bread. The waiter came back and forth a few times asking if we were ready to order and when we were, we gave our orders. At this point we were told that they had 2 out of 8 possible dishes from the grill available due to refrigerator issues. I was fuming!! So basically we could have a chicken kebab or a veggie dish and nobody thought to tell us until we started eating. By this point it was too late for us to walk out which we done have done if they’d had the courtesy to let us know on arrival that half the menu was unavailable. We were offered a complimentary drink and given some free bread but our dining experience was already ruined. The staff were inattentive, served main meals without providing cutlery - had to ask. The toilets had silver bins which said ‘clean me’ in the dust. I wouldn’t return & I wouldn’t recommend. The food itself was nice but the service was terrible. To allow customers to sit ordering food for quite some time and not saying half the menu is missing is as bad as it can be.
The service let’s this place down, we waited 40 minutes between starters and mains, we were only asked if we wanted a drink when we sat down, we tried to get someone’s attention for a second whilst we were eating but couldn’t. We sat with dirty plates for 20minutes whilst we waited to get someone’s attention for the bill, ended up having to get up and go to the bar, could be a great lace as the food is nice
I booked a table a week in advance and received a second email 2 days prior to confirm the booking. As far as I'm concerned, the restaurant knew full well my booking was in the system. I turned up to the restaurant on the day I booked and it was CLOSED. No one at Kai bothered to contact me to advise of this which is highly disappointing since we had to travel to the city centre for dinner.
Absolutely loved it and I will definitely go back again. I have found it quiet expensive incompariaon to other similar cuisines that I have visited in the past. Honestly, you will be paying for freshly made food, a class service and the atmosphere is incredible. Overall, a must visit for place to eat.
Unfortunately I had the worst bottomless experience in Manchester There was no drinks available no Prosecco or martini It took 30 mins for us to get a table It takes 20 mins to get a drink Nobody was serving us or checking up on us I saw a few people leave the restaurant because none of the staff was paying attention Everyone is basically complaining I’m not sure how are you still in business probably not long Btw we only got an hour of the bottomless brunch instead of the 90 mins that was promised and had only 4 drinks
Would’ve liked bigger portion sizes and more vegan options but overall flavours were on point and service was great!
Excellent service, beautiful food
What a lovely experience . The food was delicious . We opted for bottomless Prosecco lunch. Efficient service with a smile. My glass was never empty and I enjoyed all of the dishes we tried. Clean restrooms . Warm atmosphere very busy on a Saturday but did not impact on the service provided . Will be going there again to try more on the menu.
Went for the bottomless brunch deal i purchased for me & my wife on a friday afternoon. The staff where welcoming upon arrival, restaurant was lovely, had a really nice afternoon our food & drink was perfect & will definitely be back & recommend to our friends & family 👍🏾
Food was really good. Nice portions. Our waitress was nice and provided a really good service. Restaurant has a good atmosphere.
Such good service and they were all so welcoming! Loved our waitress too! So polite and on point! Most definitely will come again!
