Food was generally cold and thus disappointing. But the value for money made it worthwhile. Service was genuine and kind.
The evening was most entertaining and enjoyable!
Excellent food !!Epic wine matching!! fantastic generous staff !! A memorable night was had by all !! 👍😋
Attended the Truffle dinner. Food was great. Table setting was great. Too many people in the space allocated. Was squashed up over table leg and wait staff had difficulty walking through tables. Price included alcohol but sparkling wine ran out very early and white wine also ran out early. Found it hard to get staff to serve drinks. They kept serving one side of the table only. Found it had to get their attention. The Truffle speaker was excellent. The wine speaker spoke too long. Just a quick background on each wine would have been better. I would go again. Hopefully these items will be addressed for the next event.
It was a pity that no comment was made following my complaint regarding the insulting email I receieved about "surrendering the table by 8.00pm. I left the email at the desk.
The beef cheek dish was very delicate and delicious.
Nice and convenient place for pre theatre meal.
Extremely disappointing with food, price and service. Staff seemed to be lost and running around in circles. Our reservation was not on the list and drinks had to be sent back to the bar. Won’t be going back.
We pre booked a pre theatre meal for 5, at 5.30 for a 7.30 show. When we arrive there were only 2 or 3 other tables. The sevice was so slow we all missed the first 5 minutes of the show. The wait staff did what they could, but the kitchen took about 40 minutes to deliver our mains, and then another 20 to get 4 premade frozen deserts to us. The whole reason we went was because we were across from the theatre. Don't advertise a pre theatre menu if you cant get a table of 4 served in under 2 hours.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening, thank you.
Great service. Ok food, not a lot of choice
Huge thanks to the chef and the staff, fantastic food and service
We had a Super night as a prelude to the Bowie Alumni concert at the State Theatre and are very keen to repeat our experience. Your staff were outstanding as was the food and our overall experience and have told our family and friends . 😁 Best, Peter and Frances .
Thank you. Very enjoyable dinner
The atmosphere in the Restaurant was very pleasant but the seats are very uncomfortable, especially when there for a while. The Crab Entrée was amazing. The Mains of Lamb rack - more on the medium side than medium rare. The Salmon main - salmon cooked to perfection, the tiny octopus could have been used to scrub pots. very over cooked and not flavoursome. Panna Cotta dessert was divine. As an Accor Plus member I asked if the menu included drinks as well and was told yes by the waitress. When we went to pay the bill we queried the cost and was then told NO!. As this was the mistake of the hotel they should have honoured this, especially as we only had a couple and hadn't gone overboard.
Disappointed that the duck breast was over cooked, while my partners' was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were not cooked enough. Not likely to dine there again. Although have been to the High Tea and it was wonderful.
Your team leader was excellent and kind. She knows how to treat customers. We were very nervous that we did not get our main order on time. We ordered the mains 6:45 pm and the food came out 7:55 pm. Our show at the state theater was at 8:00pm. She apologized for the late serve and she did everything she could at her hand.
I was disappointed with the 180g Beef Tenderloin. It was not succulent, perhaps the meat was not fresh. This may have been due to the fact it was the Pre Dinner Menu and therefore quality is compromised.
As an Accor member and a frequent motel visitor, I felt this was the standard for all others to achieve. We had the buffet breakfast there which lacked for nothing. The room was very modern and clean, the staff were very aware of there public relations. You pay for what you get, and we got the lot, including the view. A job very, very well done Swissôtel 👍
It’s an excellent location for a mid city dinner. Accomodating chef for special dietary needs. Happy and helpful staff. Small serving size, happy to return again.
Brilliant, great food, service and accessible to all city venues.
Our evening dinner at JPB was amazing. The food was exceptional and quantity was ample. We were looked after by a beautiful young lady who's name is Amy. She was friendly, helpful and made the evening so much better We would definitely recommend JPB
We had the Pre Theatre 3 course menu. It was brilliant. 5 Star quality. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend this option if in a rush for the State Theatre. We will be back.
The waiting staff are very friendly and attentive to detail. Andrea specifically asked if we are a member of Accor which we are so I was entitled to get a discount. I have dine with you guys in numerous occasions and no one asked for my membership to give me a discount. You need people like Andrea there as her services are commendable.
