About Jidori Dalston
A yakitori restaurant based in the heart of Dalston. In the spirit of traditional izakayas, we place equal importance on food and drink. We offer an omakase menu "chef's choice" for first time diners who want to try yakitori but don't know where to start. We also offer a range of small plates such as katsu curry scotch egg and koji fried chicken for a bit more playfulness.
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was super friendly. Beautiful atmosphere. What is not to love!
Food & service amazing. Would prefer better seating & more ambient lighting
Got sat down at our table and was not given the menu until after 5 minutes - the restaurant was not busy at all and we were the only customers at the time. Serve was very rude when we said we didn't want to buy any drinks although we ordered around 10 dishes between us for the whole meal. The food was okay but overpriced. The service was by far the poorest part of our experience. The main server would see us and just ignore us when we were trying to attract his attention. We would not go back there again and we not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Great food and really lovely service!
Great food! Slightly lacking in atmosphere but the food made up for it. Didn't get into the cocktails this time but will be returning to do so!
Terrific cocktails. Thoughtful service. Fulfilling menu. Go!
Authentic and tasty. Recommended!
Maybe tea lights or some warmth
We had a very poor experience at the Dalston branch. The lady that was serving us was dismissive and rude. We worst dishes from those we ordered were the spinach the rice and the kimchi. The kimchi couldn’t be called Kimchi it wasnt fermented. The spinach was extremely over priced considering it was a small lump of unseasoned water logged cold spinach. The rice was over cooked under seasoned and pretty disgusting. The rest of the food was fine but would certainly never go back. Would not recommend
Tasty fast food, some items were more delectable than others. The avocado 'ceviche' was a bit underwhelming and enthusiastically priced, but the Scotch Egg made up for it. Excellent service.
Delicious! My favourite lunch in Dalston!
Very nice unusual Japanese food
Delicious! I’ll definitely be back
A great Yakitori restaurant with the absolute best customer service in London. Forget the Ritz do you want to feel welcomed and accepted? Go to Jidori. Our server was so lovely I wanted to keep them... we sat at the end of the bar and the chef kept us entertained and well fed all night. Loved it.
Great food and service
My first experience at Jidori and I wasnt disappointed! The food choices were varied and SO tasty. It was pretty good value for money too and all the staff were very attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend this place and I cant wait to go back!
We had a wonderful evening, food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. Both the meat eaters and vegetarians had lots of interesting choices. It was evident that only top quality ingredients were used and executed with skill. We are telling all our friends and looking forward returning soon. They deserve huge success!
Great veggie options! Lovely interesting dishes and all full of flavour. 10/10 would recommend! <3
Had to re order drinks and a dish several times. Slow service in all interactions.
Really helpful advice for choosing menu options with tricky dietary considerations. Helpful friendly staff and delicious food.
Friendly service, tasty food, lovely relaxed interior
