About Jidori Dalston
A yakitori restaurant based in the heart of Dalston. In the spirit of traditional izakayas, we place equal importance on food and drink. We offer an omakase menu "chef's choice" for first time diners who want to try yakitori but don't know where to start. We also offer a range of small plates such as katsu curry scotch egg and koji fried chicken for a bit more playfulness.
Favourite place to in London...amazing food and child friendly....Katsu scotch eggs is an all time winner!
We liked the food and probably will return. However it was disappointing that so many items from your menu were sold out by 9pm on a Friday night.
Great food and tasty margaritas
Best yakitori in london... super traditional dishes on offer but with a modern spin. Service was great, food excellent. My vegan friend was super happy as well xxx
Best restaurant on dalston kingsland high st, we love it !
Really disappointing. Cold Aubergine special that wasn't supposed to be cold. Fried chicken came without the slightest hint of seasoning, and more heinously was not in the slightest bit crispy. Great yakitori is a wonderous experience - this was not.
Thanks for having us!
The best Yakitori in East London! Chicken bits grilled to perfection with a good selection of delicious sake.
Very kind of staff to accommodate one extra person for our party. Omakase is essentially a bowl of rice and some skewers and picked cucumber for £18... unimaginative and ultimately unsatisfying.
Friendly staff and amazing food as always
Thanks for a lovely night! Stunning food and super friendly staff. Am recommending it to all my friends!
Jidori is a pretty solid yakitori (skewers) spot that offers a good healthy meal on Kingsland Road. Food was good and reasonably priced but didn't really scale the heights. Service and vibe was brilliant though, and lots of Vegetarian options, so will be back.
Love this local spot!
Having just spent 13 days in Japan, including a visit to Tokyo's yakitori street, the food at Jidori needed to be good. I'm happy to say it was fabulous, seriously good, I'll be back.
Great meal, would recommend and come back again. Cocktails were brilliant too.
Staff were lovely, service was good. Food was quite tasty but the portions were tiny for the price - unlikely to return.
It was such a fantastic meal. The aubergine was incredible!
Amazing food (including Vegan) and friendly staff!
delicious food and helpful waiters
Second visit in two weeks - I love this place!
Our visit was a shambles. We showed up at 6:30 and didn't get our initial drinks order taken until after 7, and the food order for another 10 or 15 minutes after that. When the food did come, it was mostly really good, but two orders were forgotten entirely (although they were on the bill) and the chicken skewers were unforgivably raw pink in the middle. Our server was clearly overwhelmed – staff must have not shown – but she couldn't have cared less either. She agreed to take the stuff she'd missed off the menu and remove the raw chicken but offered no apology or discount. No way will we be coming back, which is a shame, because it has all the makings of a great restaurant.
We had an excellent experience. The service was fantastic despite how busy the restaurant was and the food was really delicious. We would definitely return.
