About Jia Wei Chinese Restaurant
Featuring contemporary oriental design and décor amidst a fine dining ambience along with a revamped menu, Jia Wei Chinese Restaurant offers both exquisite fusion and authentic Chinese cuisine created by our Master Chef. Opened in December 2007, Jia Wei has since revolutionised the art of modern Cantonese cuisine with its wide selection of elaborated Cantonese cuisine, traditional Hong Kong dim sum and an extensive list of wine labels to complement each meal. The cuisine specialties at Jia Wei include the best Traditional Hong Kong Dim Sum (香港传统点心), Peking Duck (北京烤鸭), Live Seafood (活海鲜) and Double Boiled Soup (炖汤).
We felt that the service was poor. Given it was early evening and not too busy, the staff seemed to be concentrating on Serving two tables with larger numbers, families of 8 people or so. As 4 people we were an afterthought. The rice arrived a good 5 minutes after our meals and that’s poor by any standard. I wouldn’t come back being honest. The prawn dish was beautiful but the crispy pork belly and crispy garlic chicken were both bland and dry.
Tried the seafood festival set. Generally good quality food and with adequate portions

Excellent and friendly service! Staff was attentive and were mostly prompt with our requests. Food was mostly delicious, we love the seafood beehoon and coconut pudding the most. The rest was tasty - prawn platter was a hit too. Ingredients were fresh and portion were generous. Our least favourite were the duck (slightly tough) and the ngoh hiong/五香 (minced too fine with too much starch). But nevertheless, although pricy, it's still one of our favourite restaurants due to the overall nice and unique food.

We love how the food taste was just right - not too overly flavoured - which reflects the taste of home-cooked food. The dishes that we love include the Peking Duck, prawns with chilli sauce, claypot brinjal and the double-boiled chicken soup. Service staff members also met with our many requests. We had a great experience overall!
Once again, I would like to thank Jasmine for her wonderful service again. However, I was disappointed with the restaurant again.. This time round, there is no Coconut Pudding dessert. This is a signature dessert so how could the restaurant goes without it. The lobster with superior broth was not a taste that I could accept even though it was a popular dish in your restaurant. I hope the restaurant will not disappoint me the next time i brought a friend to try out.

Enjoy the service provided by Jasmine on the day we had our dinner. She is really helpful and friendly during our dinner. Food wise, the cempedak crab taste was really horrible. I am wondering how can it your signature dish? Was disappointed that LIVE Prawn need to be pre-ordered. I did asked over the phone do i need to pre-order any seafood, Venice say no, in the end, on the day i arrived, i want to order live prawn, she say that need to be pre-order. So contradicting!

Overall is fine. Service if step up more will be even better. Great place to learn from Long Beach Seafood restaurant, despite the crowd there the service staff and captains are just amazing .. I would say it’s best there you could learn from. Cheers
Service is good. Tea is constantly refilled and plates changed. Attentive staff such as Bernice could remember what we didn’t like and recommend food accordingly. Food is tasty. Portions may be too small for groups larger than 3.

We wanted to ordered crab but wasnt informed that we need to do pre-order. So was quite disappointed. Love their coconut milk pudding. Very smooth Love their black Iberian pork rib. Very very soft and tender, the kids love it and we ordered 2 plates.
After an initial sense of not being welcome, as the evening wore on you suspected it was more to do with the quirky nature of the service staff, and perhaps the fact that we were early. Place does not really warm up on a Friday until 8-8:30. They actually turned out to be very attentive and a bit of fun. Food was of very good quality, particularly the crackling pork (yum) and Asparagus with garlic. And our vegetarian family member was happy with her mock chicken. All in all a good authentic restaurant and would happily go again.
Will be back again for the excellent service and great taste.
We were there 10mins before the restaurant open and yet they let us in . All staff were friendly and make my birthday celebration very happy.
the food is pretty decent but the atmosphere seems pretty hostile.
The four of us who meet regularly to try out various food places thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back next month for the a la carte buffet!
The service and food were very good. Just one not that good experience. We booked two seats on line. When we arrived they told us that there is no reservation made. I showed them confirmation from the phone. In the end they unwillingly gave us a small table near the pillar. It was our valentine dinner. Not that good welcome.
