Drink our delicious cocktails for half their normal price on our sunny terrace!
Great food and even better service. Definitely coming back soon to try the rest of the menu!
Beef brisket starter was totally unchewable and uneatable. It was however changed with no problem. Rest of meal ok. Old menu was much better!, service was excellent
With plenty of local choices to eat and drink, you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere better than Jenkins. Great food, very friendly and warm staff with an excellent selection of drinkies 😃
We had a lovely evening - gorgeous pizzas and wine! Many thanks to all.
Great friendly service and lovely relaxed atmosphere
Very Friendly service and tasty food. Never feel rushed to leave. Jenkins is a local treasure.
A specials board would have been good ok if you want a pizza but otherwise choice limited. Drinks a bit pricey especially cocktails a pint and a spritz over £16!!
Great new menus went back the next day ! Pizza heaven
5 stars all round! We visit J&S regularly, it’s just around the corner but even if that wasn’t the case we would make the effort to visit for a relaxed drink or dinner. The new menu is a great improvement, much more informal and a good move away from being part of a large number of bars selling burgers etc. The prices are very reasonable. My wife joined the Hug Club and we’ve enjoyed several of the benefits, in this case a BOGOF deal for any main meal. The new pizzas were great, really tasty dough and a more exciting range of toppings than typically available. J&S advertises there being some sort of offer available on most nights, so never a chance to get bored. I’m looking forward to the craft beers, for me this is the last missing part of the drinks range.
enjoyed the food and drink. felt the serving staff were slow and could have done better reading body language. We would definitely recommend based on menu and drinks. One piece of feedback is the offer on the 2 for 1 cocktails could be clearer at ending at 7pm.
Had 2 Australian ladies with me on a visit to England, they said the salmon was the best they’d ever tasted and were amazed that there was pumpkin ice cream on the dessert menu as they had never seen it in Australia despite pumpkin being a national dish there
This is our fourth visit to Jenkins. We live in Jersey and always come to Jenkins on our last night to ‘finish off’ our holiday! It’s such a lovely atmosphere, your staff are friendly and efficient and the food is great!
The food was really good and looked beautifully presented. The beef on the roast was so tender that my mouth waters only thinking of it. The waiter staff not so much. There was a lovely lady (look like the manager) was really nice, but a young lady wondered around the restaurant a lot and didn't pay much attention. We have to order our drinks twice, as she didn't bring them, and then they were wrong so had to swap them. Took ages to bring the desserts menu and then ages to collect them. It took so long that the last brownie was served to other table that arrived much more later than us. Overall the food was really good, but the service not that much. Many thanks for the price of a free meal won at Christchurch Food Festival, but will think twice to come back there. Regards Mercedes
Everything was good. Fish and chips were excellent and staff very pleasant. Could not really give 5 stars to atmosphere as, on a very wet lunch time, there were few people there. As we were with good friends anyway it did not spoil our lunch.
Breakfast was delicious!! This is our second time at Jenkins and Sons and will be back again.
