About Jamie's Italian - Reykjavík
Jamie’s Italian started with what Italian’s are most proud of – fantastic, rustic dishes, using recipes that have been tried tested and loved. Our menu is rooted in authenticity, driven by what you’d find people eating all over Italy.
Taking inspiration from the “Italian table” – where people relax, share and enjoy each other’s company – our menu is packed full of antipasti and nibbles, perfect for sharing, as well as comforting bowls of pasta, beautiful fresh salads and grills.
This was the second time in two weeks we had eaten in Jamie Oliver's - once in London and then in Reykjavik . We had very enjoyable experiences both times.
Not satisfied. We arrived at 18:45 in good time for the theatre at 21:00. An hour later we began asking for the main dish, which had been ordered at 19:00. The staff did not seem interested in our problem. Finally, after repeated requests, our order arrived to late (20:35) and badly prepared. The menu also needs working on, it lacks allergen information and a fulll list of all ingredients. Never again.
great! like always!
Food was great!
We ordered drinks, starters and mains who then came in the wrong order and ended packed on the table all at the same time. This meant the mains were cold when we got to them and the drink order took them forever to get. We were then rushed out and no discount offered even tho I complained to the manager.
Food was excellent. Service was OK up to the point when we got our food and then it was like the server forgot us. We even had to get up from the table to ask to pay. The table was a booth and the legs on the table are dangerous and I urge you to change them. There was a 87 year old woman dining with us and she almost got tangled in the oversized table legs. Also our table was by the window where I was sitting and I had to have my jacket over my legs as there was a cold gust of air blowing around my feet. Dont understand what that was about.
The service was TERRIBLE. The waitress was rude and not helpful. The salads we were served were inedible and when we sent them back they were never taken off of our bill. We ordered bread, which was supposed to come with olive oil, which we never saw even after asking repeatedly. The pasta had the consistency and temperature of setting out for a long time before serving. The appetizer was terrible and tasted like frozen food.
The man with hat in the entrance was really nice and service minded. Unfortunately, the server didn't give a good impression on us. The wine and drink was good but the food was only 'OK' and didn't live up to the quality that one could expect from a restaurant in the name of Jamie Oliver. Since I don't Think the taste didn't match the taste of the food I would not come back unfortunately since I am a student and don't have the best economy. Otherwise I may been worth to maybe try another dish.
Out of our 5 day visit we ate dinner there 2 times! Loved it! Highly recommend!
Lovely atmosphere, amazing food!
When we arrived the staff was standing around having a chat and we waited to be greeted for a number of minutes. It was enough time that we felt they didn't really care if we were there or not. Service was slow, the food came out slow and was average. We never even received bread, odd for an Italian Restaurant. Kind of expensive for the price. The space was nice.
I really liked the atmosphere and food was delicious but it can be bit cheaper.
Food was delicious and the prices are good!
I ordered a carbonara. It tastes good. But it not very special or particularly good for this price. We tried to call to change booking time but no one took the call.
We ordered nachos for appertisers and it did not come
We had a really nice family dinner, service was great and the food perfect. Thanks
Lovely and tasty food
You only had a limited menu for lunch and it did not include anything anyone in my party wanted so we left without eating. We were looking forward to eating there.
The food is good but and the restaurant looks very good but it's very loud. And it is very expensive, especially the drinks!
Wroce tam nie raz
This place has really gone downhill. The portions have been reduced and with worse.material. The service was bad as we all got our dishes at seperate times, 30 minutes apart.
Það var frekar svekkjandi upplifun þegar við mættum í "bottomless brunch" seinasta laugardag. Ég var búin að panta borð á vefsíðu ykkar fyrir einhverju síðan en þar stendur eftirfarandi (og stendur enn): Tuck into one of our sharing planks piled with Italian antipasti and bruschetta, fresh fruit, polenta and cheese waffle with bacon, eggs and maple syrup and our delicious baked eggs! All for just 4.990 ISK per person, including bottomless Prosecco! Ég skildi það á þessu að það væri allt innifalið fyrir þetta verð en svo þegar við komum á staðinn þá var "nýr matseðill að taka gildi í dag" og að það væri "búið að auglýsa það í fjölmiðlum". Þá þurfti semsagt að borga fyrir hvern rétt. Mér finnst það gilda einu þó að allt hafi verið á 50% afslætti þennan dag, og að það hafi verið búið að auglýsa þetta í fjölmiðlum, við vorum ekki að fá það sem var búið að "auglýsa" á vefsíðu ykkar. Svörin sem við fengum voru einfaldlega þau að það ætti eftir að uppfæra vefsíðuna. Ef það er hægt að bóka borð á vefsíðunni þá á maður að fá það sem stendur á vefsíðunni. Einfalt.
Food was excellent Draft beer was awful Very expensive for what we got, food was good
