About Jamaican Jills Uplands
Jamaican Jills is a favourite with foodies of Neath and Swansea, and we have now expanded into Uplands! Introducing Jamaican Jills: Food Fusion, combining the Caribbean food we’re already known for with more traditional Welsh and British dishes, like full breakfasts and jacket potatoes. The music is laid-back Jamaican, and outside there’s a patio area for al fresco dining, complete with a flame-effect patio heater.
A lot of food on offer is available in “Welsh” or “Jamaican” – so you can have a lamb shank which is plain, or with jerk.
British jacket potatoes are cheese, beans, tune and chilli, or the Jamaican ones are reggae mince, five bean curry, jerk chicken, and curry chicken.
Our flagship Jamaican dish is the goat curry, which might sound unusual to those who haven’t eaten the animal before, but it really needs to be tried! Goat is very similar to lamb, in its feel and texture. It is slow cooked, and melts in the mouth. People love it once they’ve tried it. It's all about the food and atmosphere in Jill's so come for the food and stay for the fun!
I would like to thank u all, the food was great and everyone enjoyed, we were made to feel so welcome and would defiantly book again.
Food was great and staff were amazing
What a find! Superb food, wine and cocktails. We were really made to feel welcome
Food was amazing had lots of cocktails on offer and a range of food even a picky eater would enjoy
Jamaican Jills is the best place in Swansea for real authentic Caribbean food, and the cocktails certainly pack a punch!! Highly recommend it!! The owner has a charismatic charm that is both needed as well as favoured! Thoroughly enjoyed! Will be seeing you soon, Jacob
Great service and couldn't fault the food!
Relaxed atmosphere Lovely food Excellent service Would go back
The food was lovely and the jamaican paties are out standing, and the service was brilliant, my son loved it and the cocktails the only think I didn't really enjoy was the curried goat but that was down to my specific tastes as I don't like coconut and it wasn't what I expected but I wanted to try it. Overall brilliant place to eat and fabulous service from Jill and her staff would recommend to my friends.
Our 2nd visit to Jamaica jills and brought family this time, great food and just as important fantastic staff thank you its more than just food it's an experience 😊
Absolutely love the food, service and overall feeling of stepping through the doors as it has always been so homely and welcoming. Value for money is fab it is somewhere I'd always recommend going, I couldn't recommend it enough. Can't wait to go again.
Lovely, cosy atmosphere. Excellent value for money. Good to experience an interesting and varied menu. See you soon hopefully. Chris and Barbara.
A really delicious meal. The goat curry was lovely. Left feeling very full!! Friendly and relaxed atmosphere . Staff are great. We ll definitely be back
Great place for a celebration. Fantastic welcome. Cuisine explained well. Can't wait for an excuse to come back.
Can’t comment on anything because I made a reservation turned up there and it was shut. To say we was gutted is an understatement. Don’t understand how we was able to book yet the place was shut
Food was tasty, hot and plentiful. I think £15 is a bit steep making it quite expensive for a family of 3.
Fantastic food! Fantastic service. My whole family from age 3 to 42 can't wait to come back.
Great food in a restaurant with such a happy, feel good, vibe.
A Fantastic meal as always!!! Service was wonderful also. We had a confusion regarding what venue we were meant to be at, however this did not impact on the service and quality we received. Look forward to coming back soon
Had a lovely time stress free very kind and helpful staff even for FUSSY people
A lovely evening in a fab setting, the goat curry was divine, as were the mojito’s!
