About Jacobs Plough
The dining room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner – rural British cuisine with fine wines and beer.
For a more laid back dining experience, have a seat in the bar, snug or on the terrace
Plentiful tasty food with attentive and friendly staff.
We went to the restaurant on Sunday, I booked the table in advance, when we got there our table not ready so we have waited almost 25 minute to get seated very slow service especially we booked the table in advance.
Great service and great food as per previous visits.
Lovely food, fantastic service & very good value for money.
Lovely meal, great staff and atmosphere
Perfect Sunday lunch! Thank you
Great food and friendly service.
Great food and best Sunday lunch around
Unfortunately my daughter had to wait for a side order of chips for far too long, we had to remind the waiter that she was still waiting, by which time she had nearly finished the rest of her meal. We were the only people in the restaurant so can’t attribute it to being busy, especially when we noticed the chef in the bar playing on a computer!!
Service was very slow and restaurant very noisy. Food good as were the drinks.
Lovely meal out for my wife’s birthday with great service
The staff on duty on Sunday could not have been more helpful and respectful of the elderly guests who joined us for lunch. Both guests were in wheelchairs and needed some help with accessing the table and toilets, with which the staff were only to happy to help. Thank you so much!
Lovely venue , lovely food , fantastic staff thank you
Very nice, freshly cooked food at a reasonable price. Service was a bit hit and miss, Saturday lunchtime and there was only us eating so lacked some atmosphere
Shocking poor meal. Dirty cutlery, chicken akin to cardboard, mash potato with hard lumps in, corn the cob over cooked etc etc. A thoroughly poor experience that is now becoming common place at the Jacobs establishments. Standards have dropped significantly.
We waited almost an hour for our brunch when we were the only people in the restaurant. When some of the food finally arrived it was either cold or had clearly been under heat lamps for quite some time. Most of it was inedible and some of the food never arrived.
Our food took a while to arrive. When it did, one of our meals was incorrect and was sent back to the kitchen. The rest of us had finished our meals and been sitting for some time before the final meal arrived. We had watched 2-3 of the final meal be put out to other diners before ours arrived.
What a delight Jacob’s Plough is, especially the staff and manager. We had a lovely family meal from a great menu with great service in a lovely surrounding and atmosphere. Five star service, five star people.
It was a fantastic Sunday Lunch in a relaxed dog friendly atmosphere
Really good beef and lamb roasts
Utterly useless. Made a reservation for 9pm. Arrived. Laughed at and told the kitchen closes at 9pm.
A brilliant afternoon and great effort from the staff at the Jacobs Plough considering we were 28 people! All food arrived promptly with no issues. A great place to spend time with work colleagues! Will definitely be returning with my family
Nice food with very attentive service.
Food excellent. However service was poor. Forgot our side order, and forgot our wine. Felt like service was still fitting for the old pub not the new rebranded upmarket restaurant.
Good addition to Bicester
