About Jacobs and Field
Breakfast, brunch, lunch, cakes and dinner
Service very good but initially took a little bit of time to order. However, after that the service was excellent and the waiter took all of our strange requests. Sat near the door and the restaurant was quite cold though
I love Jacobs and field and go there often. However the other evening was such a shame it took forever to get our order, are drinks came and they where warm when we ordered milkshakes. The service was very slow and didn’t feel valued as a customer. The food was still very good! And still recommend.
Smashing pork, mash and gravy. Really yummy Sauvignon, although a tad pricey at £22. Sticky toffee pud was divine. All 3 waiting staff were smiley, efficient and skilled. Love the booties. Only issue is the condensation build up on the windows. Would deffo recommend.
A fabulous venue for a celebratory brunch. Staff were very helpful, portions were very generous.
Excellent. Lovely cafe, helpful and friendly staff, delicious food.
Macaroni cheese stodgy and gave rise to indigestion. Very uninspiring. steak burger was fine but over-priced, the person having the pizza didn't comment. The cider was really good. We failed to see how you could run out of early grey tea, when there is a Waitrose next door. You weren't busy, so for customer satisfaction surely someone could have popped next door for some tea! I recently had reason to complain about a very poor chicken salad, and I was assured that the menu The menu seemed very similar to before, and I still feel it is not worth the money.
Lovely brunch at Jacobs and Field.
Yummy Food, great buzz about the restaurant and very friendly service.
Waiting staff are friendly but the place was far too busy for the number of staff, and this is not the first time this has happened at lunchtime - evenings seem fine. We had to ask for our drinks after we’d been seated an hour. 10% service was added to the bill; I was offered the chance to take it off, but as I was next to my 79 year old mum whose birthday it was I didn’t really want to start makinga point. Food was fine, you just need more staff.
One of the dishes was not as expected, more like a fondue. A very rich cheese sauce with little accompanying veg. This was pointed out to the staff who dealt with the matter to our satisfaction. Otherwise, very good service and atmosphere.
Lovely lunch, bur pizza slightly undercooked
Wonderful place the eat. I will be returning!
Great venue to meet friends, we were left in peace to chat, the staff were attentive but not intrusive, that's a great skill.
Nice food let down badly by poor service, a dirty table, dirty glasses which the waitress argued was due to the dishwasher and a waiter who tried to tell me how I liked my food cooking. Not a good experience and I would think twice about returning.
Quick and polite staff
Fifth visit and each time the standards and quality of food and service have been excellent.
My food (veggie breakfast) was good, but 2 friends had tartiflette which was greasy and inedible. We have had other poor meals in the past and sadly will probably not come back. The service yesterday, as always is excellent.
A really lovely place- great food, great service- would recommend to anybody.
Food ok tables sticky. All a bit dirty
Lovely food and atmosphere and very accommodating staff
We love meeting in Jacobs & Field and are regulars :-)
