"Relive the joys of a bygone era; enjoy traditionally cooked Indian cuisine in a rustic setting"
Fabulous service excellent food a lovely experience
Food was cold. Service was slow No value for money
Stunning restaurant. I love everything about it. Very relaxing. Food is beautifully presented. Great wine list and cocktails.
The food was amazing , so was the service.. They customized the dishes as per our taste and the food was made fresh and served ..Would definitely visit again..
Consistently reliable, great food, service & atmosphere. We keep coming back!
Great Atmosphere, Friendly staff & great food.
Awkward as we had gone online to try and pre-order but turns out the menu on the website was not their actual menu. Ended up paying more than what we had originally budgeted for. Food portion was smaller and the rice to curry ratio was off. Will probably go elsewhere next time for better value for money - especially as it was only for lunch.
Excellent food, great customer service! I will definitely come back.
Always enjoy dining at your restaurant . Great to be able to bring some friends from out of town who have lived in India. They were really impressed with the meal, service and ambience
Wonderful food, attentive but not intrusive staff and great atmosphere.we will be back and would definitely recommend a visit to this lovely restaurant
Food is always delicious, however yesterday we were not given menu's until we asked for them, our drink order was not taken until we asked, one of our starters was forgotten & mains of people that came in after us were served before ours which we waited a long time for. I would definitely come again but we were a little disappointed on our last visit.
Lovely meal in great surroundings. Made better by the lady who served us, her first day back but she was up to speed straight away and another reason we will go back!
We had a wonderful dinner. The food was delicious and unique. The owner was so gracious & accommodating. We recommend this restaurant highly.
Again a delicious meal with family. Such authentic, clean and made from absolute scratch Indian Food. Exceptional service. Thanks
Wonderful Wonderful restaurant A true gem If you are in Auckland and like your Indian food this restaurant is a must From the very first dish to the last everything was perfect The service was wonderful and the recommendations perfect Don’t miss the Goat and the Goan fish curry 10 out of 10 Thank you to all
Amezing place & money worth. would love to visit again. Thanks!
First time at this restaurant for the two of us. While placing the order, we asked the staff for the gravy type of the 'paneer meri pasand' we ordered. We were told it is a semi gravy but it turned out to be a very dry (no gravy at all) dish. It tasted good but it was so hard for us to gulp it down with naan bread and roti. We had to drink water after nearly every bite. I think the staff should have known better and given us the right guidance. There were knife and fork at the table for us when we walked in. After we were done with the starters, staff took our knife and fork along with the quarter plates. Luckily I kept mine as I was still finishing up. Later, mains arrived and no cutlery was offered. There's two of us, with two plates, one fork and one knife to eat an Indian meal and a grated salad. I just took one fork from the table set up next to us. No one came to ask if we need anything else or a top up of water. To be fair, staff seemed to be busy closing up the restaurant and cleaning up and setting the tables. But still, a small 'do you need anything else' would have been good. Staff asked us when we got served the mains if this is what we were after/expecting. We literally told the guy that this is not semi gravy and is too dry a dish to be had with a naan bread. He just replied, yeah this dish is a bit dry. Funnily enough, this was the same person who took our order and advised us that this was a semi gravy dish. Starters tasted soo good. The naan bread and roti were superb. Main dish- paneer meri pasand was delicious too but not what we were told it would be. Maybe can be had as a second dish but definitely not the dish to order if you are only after one mains. 5 stars for the deliciousness. 3 for the service. 4 for the environment and decor. 3.5 for value for money.
Absolutely love the Indian food at iVillage. Got plenty to choose from and it’s always nice to start with one of the Indian themed cocktails. No one in our group had any complaints at all about their food! It was delicious 😊
Food is delicious - exciting and interesting menu. Will be back soon
The food was delicious. All staff were accommodating, attentive and friendly.
We stop at iVillage every year when we visit Auckland because we can always count on an outstanding meal. The restaurant is very well decorated and comfortable. The service is outstanding. But it's the high quality of the food that keeps us coming back. Everything we've had is well-prepared with a pleasant balance of spices. The Butter Chicken (Tandoori Murgh Makhanwala) is the best we've ever had. Out only wish is for a Lamb Vindaloo on the menu!
Tandoori Salmon entree came out with our main. So we couldn’t enjoy tasting it seperately. Vindaloo was too hot even after asking if we could get it mild..would have preferred being advised that it couldn’t be done and we would have ordered something else. With the vindaloo being too hot we couldn’t enjoy the salmon. Which again should have come out as an entree, instead came out last.
