1st visit, wont be the last, very impressed
We both enjoyed the food & atmosphere and we were very pleased with the waitress service as she explained the menu very clearly
Lovely food, friendly service and nice surroundings
Too much samphire in the seafood pasta which spoiled it a little. Took a while to get the bill but there turned out to be a problem with the till.
Very friendly helpful waitress. Food tasty and good value.
I like Italian grill a lot and have been a regular customer for years. Yesterday when I went we used an Itison voucher, which was great. Then we ordered some small plates before leaving. The food was quite poor quality. The fried squid was incredibly oily, not particular well cooked and completely unseasoned. The oil from the squid then just absorbed into the bread it was in making for a fairly unpleasant experience. The langoustine were tiny but pleasant. Not well deveined but that doesn’t largely matter. Otherwise it was all good, although I must say I’ve felt the quality of food has slipped over the years since the first time I attended.
Very good service from our waitress, everyone enjoyed their meal.
Great food and great service from really friendly staff. We will be back.
Excellent night as always , will be back again soon
We were kept waiting for our table as there was a gentleman in a wheelchair that was taking up some room, but instead of squeezing us in & potentially embarrassing the gentleman we were politely asked to wait & given free drinks & some food to keep us going! We would have been fine to wait so just think this was a really nice gesture given there was 16 of us. Service, food & drink was all fantastic, would definitely recommend.
We were a large party of 20 split thoughtfully over two tables, we were extremely well looked after which got our evening off to a great start. Johnny and the team were excellent which also added to the overall experience.
Kate was an absolute delight
Had a lovely meal with 10 fellow mums before going to the Caird. The food was lovely and wine was flowing. Service was great and we were wel looked after. We were seated in the private dining area which was just great. We will definitely be back thank you Emma
Lovely meal and service as always! We tried the ‘Thursday Meal Deal’ which was fantastic and very very good value for money. Highly recommended!
Fantastic all round! Great atmosphere, very friendly, knowledgeable staff and delicious beautifully cooked food as always!
The garlic bread was not made with butter and tasted awful - it was some sort of margarine and really spoilt the start of the meal. It would have also have been better if the childrens’ meals offered a bit of a variety of starters - we had the additional cost of buying some plates regular mozzarella fingers to keep the kids happy! The pizzas were also a bit stodgy and not quite in the authentic Italian style which was really disappointing. An expensive tea time meal for 4 adults and 4 children at c.£160 where the adults only had main courses, a portion of olives and a couple of drinks each.
Restaurant was busy so very noisy. Had to wait 20-25 minutes for our table, which we booked weeks before, for 6:30 because we had plans at 8. Didn’t get our food until an hour after our booking time and although lots of apologies, no compensation was given to us. My main course (spinach and ricotta cannelloni) was very small and was glad I’d ordered garlic bread otherwise I’d have been starving. Gave me enough time to eat it before we left 15 minutes later. We all had to add salt and pepper to our food too as it was pretty bland. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend on a Saturday, maybe on a Tuesday lunch time when it’s quiet it would be better. Won’t be coming back on a Saturday for sure.
Great service, food and drinks. Although we did feel dessert was a bit pushed upon us, even although we didnt have any!
Fantastic as always
Online booking system changed the reservation a couple of times without us asking , but the restaurant was able to fix it. Good food, good service, would recommend 👍🏼
The food was really good with some very tempting specials such as the ox cheek burger. The staff were superb especially Erin who provided excellent local information about events going on in the town as well as food recommendations (the cheesecake was a very good recommendation!). I would go back.
Delicious food and cocktails!
Great food and nice decor
Pasta & pizza dishes we had were lovely. However, my husband had steak. The side dishes, chips & salad are extra. I feel these should be included with the steak which is expensive to begin with.
We arrived a bit early which wasn’t a problem, we were shown to our table straight away which was great. After placing our order we were warned it could be a while because the restaurant was so busy. We weren’t in a rush so this wasn’t a problem. Our food arrived about an hour after we sat down which was ok, not a problem. However, only half of it arrived, the pasta dishes. The 2 pizzas arrived maybe about 5 mins later. My dad ordered cannelloni which he said was a bit cold so I guess it had been sitting ready for a while. The rest of the food was nice, no complaints, just a shame it didn’t all come together and piping hot.
