About Iris Restaurant
Iris is a contempary British restaurant located in the heart of Wakefield city centre, close to the cathedral and the Bull Ring fountains. Set up by chef Liam Duffy in 2012 the 50 cover restaurant was refurbished to create a modern dining experience.
The brunch menu is lovely for a quick lunch break. Had a lovely meal with fine company. Just right.
Early bird menu excellent value for money will visit again
always very good
Great value for money on the food!
Always had a great meal & service here, simply unable to fault the place.
First time for us at Iris it won't be the last, the food was lovely the staff were very curtious and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, organised to say the least, we will be back again very soon and will recommend to anyone to visit
A great meal
We are regular visitors and we always enjoy the food but the room is beginning to look tired. We brought two friends with us Saturday and one of the chairs had a stain on it. The wall behind us had marks or tears in the wall covering. These are not major issues but the quality of the overall offer is being reduced by the room beginning to look tired. We were sat downstairs.
Early bird meal very good value and plenty of others enjoying at this time too Food delicious and portions not overpowering Plenty of choice for all tastes
Felt it would have been nice if someone had offered to take our coats we were dining on top floor and hadn't realised there was no rail upstairs. Had to wait a while before someone took our drinks order and then they brought wrong wine and we had to ask for ice and lemon for table water. Wouldn't stop us coming again. Food was lovely.
Went to the 10 plates around the world event - would definitely go again, well cooked, nicely presented and served by enthusiastic, pleasant staff.
Fantastic service, food and great value. We would recommend IRIS to all our friends and family.
Excellent value when you have children.keep it up.
Lovely food and lovely restaurant.
Lovely food - good service - excellent value for money. If being picky table looked a bit grubby (booth downstairs) & continental lager glass preferably to basic pub pint pots
Lovely Sunday lunch with family.
Brilliant as always
Busy Saturday evening but staff were knowledgeable and quick considering the large party that was in. Food well presented and good. Only niggle was the crab it would have been nicer not so deconstructed I like crab unadulterated so you taste the sea!
Yet another first class meal and service. Iris never disappoints
Great staff lovely freshly cooked and well presented dishes thank you for a lovely evening
A delightful meal, staff attentive but not to attentive which is good. Menu was varied and creative. Excellent, thankyou.
Iris is my new favourite restaurant. Great food and great service. All the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Will be back again soon
We arrived at 5.50pm for 6pm meal the door had an open sign on it but was locked. I knocked on the glass door to catch the attention of staff. We were duly let in but told we do not open until 6pm. We were cold and weary having stood at a bus stop for 45 mins due to a bus not turning up. Because my friend went straight to a radiator we were given that table. It was our first visit and l thought the restaurant opened at 5.30pm.
Excellent food and great service. Our 1st visit, will definitely be returning.
Very happy with our meal and service
