About Inver Restaurant & Rooms
Inver is a small, characterful restaurant on the shores of Loch Fyne, on Scotland’s west coast.
In the evening we serve a fixed, four course menu. Using current cooking techniques and the very best local wild and farmed ingredients we offer a contemporary take on traditional and forgotten Scottish dishes.
Our a la carte dinner and lunch menus feature simply prepared fresh seafood and native meat and game in season. We have a cosy bar serving craft ale, natural wine and fancy drinks. Our coffee is roasted nearby and served morning and afternoon with our scones, cakes and cookies. There’s also a small shop selling our own sourdough bread, cultured butter and preserves and our own beer, brewed with friends at nearby Fyne Ales.
Soooo Good. So special. All of it. Thank you!
We had a wonderful time, the food was incredible and wine was great quality. We have been on a number of occasions and the current staff team are particularly special.
Always highlight of our stay
Incredible food and lovely staff
Had a really special break at Inver. The food, atmosphere and setting were all incredible and we can’t wait to book again.
Amazing food, charming and attentive service in warm, welcoming surroundings.
Excellent as always. A real shame that they are closing till March due to COVID Will be back in March
We had the tasting menu and were not disappointed. The food and setting were perfect. Staff highly attentive and knowledgeable. We were well looked after by Ryan and the rest of the team. The pre dessert was amazing, when asked about it the waitress got us some leaves from the plant used. The sourdough and pastry elements were perfect. A personal favourite was the peasant sausage rolls snack. There was no complaints at all about the food. Its incredible it hasn't received a star yet. The breakfast in the morning was beautiful. It really impressed and felt well thought out. The bothy is cosy and comfortable with beautiful views. And really made our stay special. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. The log fire sets a lovely cosy romantic atmosphere. All staff are highly passionate about what they are doing, from making kombucha or using local berries in cocktails. Everyone is happy to share their knowledge and take great care and enjoyment from what they do. Will definitely be back. Thank you to the whole team
We enjoyed a two night stay at Inver. Location is fabulous and creates a beautiful, remote and calming retreat. Thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu one night and then an a la carte choice on the second. We were taken on a delightful gastronomic journey - eating ingredients and combinations not previously experienced. The visual presentation and texture combinations were fabulous. Alongside this the creativity shown to offer a specially created ‘juice flight’, as due to restrictions the wine flight could not be served indoors, was ingenious. The team had created a very Covid safe environment and all of the team were very welcoming and friendly. Thank you. We hope to return.
The food is to die for. Delightful, imaginative, inventive, full of flavour. Totally Michelin star quality and all done simply without fuss or show. Breakfast includes the best rowie in the world. Worth travelling a very long way for.
Outstanding food - well balanced and cooked expertly. Service was exquisite. Personal highlight was the pheasant toddy - wow!
We loved our lunch. Very many thanks.
Exceptional. All aspects. As always.
Fantastic food in a fantastic place.
A fantastic lunch again with beautiful autumnal flavours. A real treat.
We had a wonderful lunch, a treat indeed. The warmth and professionalism of all your team is exceptional.... I certainly learnt new stuff.... never again shall a broccoli stem be thrown away.! See you again soon.
Delicious food, beautiful setting, magical evening!
Delicious food in a lovely setting. We stayed in a bothy too, with a particularly tasty breakfast!
So happy to return to Inver after a couple of years; amazing charcuterie (coppa di testi and lamb sausages), the freshest greens, each course infused with pickled delights and, then, a sorbet to die for... creamy and not quite savoury yet definitely not sweet. We lingered after our lunch in front of the stove with a pot of mint tea (mint from Inver‘’s garden).
Enjoyed our visit very much, friendly staff and fantastic sea views!!
The food was staggeringly good: inventive, fresh and delicious. We couldn't choose our favourite...bread, toffees, doughnuts, breakfast muffins...amazing.
We came upon Inver by accident and were lucky enough to get a table for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious and was made all the better by the beautiful views from the restaurant across the loch. Our impromptu lunch was the highlight of our week staying in the area.
Could not have asked for a better or safer experience.
Incredible food presented in such a unique and surprising way means we will be talking about our dining experience for years to come! Fabulous stay in wee luxury bothy which was perfectly cosy to hibernate in overnight and forget about the dreich autumnal weather outside. Think we’ve found our new favourite place in Scotland ;)
A great meal and stay
