WESTERLY is the training restaurant for Ayr Campus or Ayrshire College. This AA College Rosette award winning restaurant is situated on the second floor affording outstanding views across the river Ayr to the town centre. The food is modern classic and normally served as a 3 course lunch menu, usually with at least 3 choices per course. Offering great value food, and wonderfully attentive service, we surprise all our new customers with the quality and value provided
Food was lovely and staff were attentive. It was my friend’s 1st time and she was surprised at how good it was.
Loved it enjoyed Christmas lunch staff are v professional and attentive. Decoration looked great first impression. Food was excellent good quality and standard. Thank you again for looking after us will be back in the new year.
Absolutely great Christmas lunch, amazing food with a very cheap price
Our friends from Dumfries and obviously we all enjoyed our meal so much. Our friends were very very impressed. Keep it going.
Lovely meal. Great value.
May I first state how helpful and attentive all the staff was. I have had several meals with you and this is The first time I was disappointed . With two items off the menu (although it was only 12.30) I struggled to find anything on the menu I liked but opted for the vegetarian tagliatelli. Very bland and even with extra parmesan it was tasteless. We also had a very long wait, for which several members of staff apologised
Another lovely 3 course lunch at Inver. As always, the staff were polite and attentive, the food was superb, and the entire meal was a real pleasure. We can thoroughly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
This was our first visit but won't be our last. The food was excellent, especially our main course of baked haddock. Our only slight criticism would be the menu choice which included a burger and wrap; both of these items were things we wouldn't choose when eating out. Service was great as was the venue with comfortable chairs and a relaxed ambience. The views were stunning despite the lashing rain!
Great service, staff all very welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing and the presentation was beautiful. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Food was delicious. Well presented and good quality. On the day of our visit there was a hitch with deliveries and there was no white wine. Drinks service was a little slow but otherwise staff were very pleasant and attentive. Excellent value for money.
Enjoyed our lunch, great staff and food was excellent
As always, lovely meal and attentiveness of everyone is much appreciated
Great service, delicious food, amazing value for money and can't wait to come again!
Really enjoyed the “Disney” themed lunch. We were with two friends and we were all impressed with the food and service we received. The fish and chips and meatball main courses were delicious and the trio of sweets was superb. Well done to all the students. Look forward to returning for lunch in September.
It is always a pleasure having lunch at the Inver. The staff are polite and attentive, and the food is superb. Cannot fault anything, and it's fantastic value.
Friendly atmosphere and the food was wonderful.
Food delicious as always. Only one small disappointment, we were offered neither a taster starter or a petit fours. Busy with cameras and make-over winners afternoon tea. Perhaps we were overlooked or maybe they've stopped it.
Loved the home baked bread, delicious. This is the final lunch this session, the students this year have excellent. A very pleasant place to visit. Don't know why more people don't go. All the best to everyone, have a great summer. We'll be back in the autumn.
Lovely meal with fantastic service
We've been to Inver 5 or 6 times and it never fails to impress. The food and service are always excellent. The staff here are truly a credit to their profession.
This was my second visit to Westerly. The first visit was first class, I assume the catering students were in their final year. This time was not as good food wise. My sister and I ordered risotto only to be given a kind of vegetable mixture which was not very good. The rolls were brick hard. The staff were lovely and most helpful but the food was disappointing. It was reasonable price wise. Still worth a visit.
My wife and I had a excellent lunch yesterday. We did not have a starter. unfortunately our choice of main course, pork with a mustard sauce, was finished so we chose confit of duck. Well cooked and presented but a nice orange sauce or similar would have enhanced this dish. Lemon tart and “deconstructed” doughnuts with raspberry coulis sweets were superb. Edward, our waiter was very efficient and courteous. Overall a very nice lunch experience and we intend to visit again with friends.
Drink service was incredibly slow- 25 minute wait. Arrangements for paying for the drinks were inappropriate and somewhat chaotic. The menu descriptions were wrong in relation to gluten free which could have had disastrous consequences. Despite giving a week's notice that a guest would require gluten free options and an assurance this would not be a problem this information had not been passed on. Credit to our waitress who saved the day. She was fantastic. The " entertainment" was rather low key . Good value for money and food was lovely.
First time visiting Inver and have already booked to return. Service was great and food was exceptional, I only wish I’d known about this gem of a restaurant sooner. Well done everyone. Many thanks.
Excellent service and restaurant quality food even Greg Wallace and John Torode would be happy
