Seasons Restaurant, is a stylish and elegant dining room flooded with natural daylight overlooking the landscaped courtyard garden. Enjoy contemporary Irish cuisine using only the finest seasonal ingredients, an impressive wine list and professional, friendly service
My parents, sister and I booked in for the buffet breakfast on Sunday morning as we had booked into the intercontinental spa that afternoon and wanted to eat before-hand. It could not have been nicer! The servers were so friendly and attentive - particularly Jacqueline who greeted us at the entrance and showed us to our table. The food was such good quality and plenty of choice. We sat there for hours as we didn't want to leave and will definately be back again. Thanks 🙂
The dining room was cold and when we complained we were told there was nothing to be done. It was lacking in atmosphere and the menu was so limited one guest could not find a suitable main course. The food however was very good for those who did find something suitable. There were only 2 serving staff on duty and although pleasant it did appear that the dining room was being run on a shoestring budget. I would not say that I would never return but I certainly would not pick seasons for a special occasion.
Staff is very friendly and committed! We were helped by Hichem, Stephane, Max and Yuribeth! Great hosts and for sure.. coming back is a must!! My wife had great birthday’s celebration! At the bar they were also very friendly! Very satisfied vistitors from The Netherlands!
Every about the hotel is absolutely stunning. The setting, the decor, the food, couldn't fault it one bit. However what let's it all down is the poor service. From the lobby staff to the dining hall servers 90% of the service threatens to spoil the whole experience! Bad customer focus and slow service. I've been here many times and have been served cold coffee on more then two occasions or waited up to 30 mins for a glass of wine and this was not on busy match days or at the height of lunch service either. I really do enjoy the setting of the hotel which is why I always return but if you could just make a few changes and maybe give the staff more training it could really raise the bar. Many thanks
Some of the newer staff need trained better before being out on the floor. I asked a few questions about dishes and was met with a blank expression. Also nl Yorkshire puddings were brought with the steak at brunch.
Wonderful dinner, excellent services, we really enjoyed the night
Thank you for a splendid evening and excellent food last Friday.
We attended the Christmas Dinner with colleagues. Excellent, Service and Ambience
The restaurant was quiet and this impacted the atmosphere.
We had a lovely late lunch for my friend’s birthday. Can’t say enough good things about the staff; soo welcoming and helpful and professional. We were the awkward vegitarians! But nothing was too much trouble and We both have already passed on this lovely experience to family, friends, colleagues and clients! Thank you very much, Adrienne Davitt
We had to telephone twice re organising this booking. First time we got lost in the telephone transfer system. Second time we had to convince your people that you would be serving lunch on the day due to the Ireland v USA match. Your face to the public staff need to be fully aware of your offerings
Decided to try the new brunch menu, took 6 calls to get booked and a further 4 calls to increase my booking from 2 to 4 persons.dining room empty no atmosphere , could have been a morgue, not what one wants on a Sunday lunch. guitarist too loud , curtain pulled across dining room left a cold feeling not 5 star ambiance . Food excellent, miss the buffet, and the atmosphere not the same , would doubt if i would return, sorry.
1) Difficult to identify what dishes were starters on menu. 2) menu did not include any vegetarian options
Staff were superb; professional, attentive, knowledgable and friendly. Excellent menu, delicious food. Lovely evening, perhaps slightly marred by dreadful piped music.
Lovely room, good service particularly Jackie. Food was below standard, chips cold and had to be sent back, potatoes served with roast overcook/reheated, Yorkshire puddings over cooked and made too far in advance not fresh.
I would not recommend this restaurant. The staff were lovely, however I don’t think we got value for money with the food. We ordered medium rare and medium beef and they were both well done and chewy. Not enough vegetables with the meat either, especially when the vegetables on the menu are what made me choose the beef over the lamb. The breakfast was delicious though.
Cold, slow food. Not a five star restaurant. VERY disappointing considering restaurant half empty AND in a five star hotel. Fillet steak took over an hour to arrive. Celeriac soup was cold and like wallpaper paste - bland. Staff did not know cheese selection. Felt very sorry for waitress who was trying to be so helpful. Kitchen seems at fault, not waitresses who were ultra courteous in a difficult situation. Cheese was nice when it arrived.
I had a voucher for dinner in Seasons which was not open nor was the Ice Bar which is what I paid for and I do like that to be honoured.
Price was very good because we had a taste.ie voucher but food wasnt great overall. Chicken Caesar salad and duck were both a bit bland. Chips were cold. The hazelnut desert and the wine were great. Service was good, staff very attentive and friendly.
Lovely v staff and atmosphere. We loved it.
We attended the JP McMahon guest chef dinner. This was the most chaotic service I have ever, ever witnessed in a restaurant. Kitchen could not deliver the courses as were written on the menu...main course monkfish was “substituted” with cod, which was undercooked and inedible.... no recognition/apology by waiting staff when 4 main courses returned to kitchen uneaten. Hard to understand how planned paired wines became “unavailable” as night progressed and were yet again “substituted” without explanation. There did not appear to be any maitre’d in change waiting staff were clueless. Bizarre, chaotic, night....never to be repeated.
Although all the staff were very nice there seemed to be a lack of training. The food ranged from great (the Caesar's salad) to poor (the dried out steak).
