About Imperial Hotel & Restaurant
The Imperial Hotel is located in one of the Channel Island's most picturesque settings - overlooking the beautiful Rocquaine Bay in Torteval, Guernsey. With it's beach side location, the hotel is in the perfect setting to enjoy the sandy beach, crystal clear waters and miles of adjoining coastal cliff paths.
Great meal very helpful staff
A lovely Sunday lunch- thank you and very accommodating for children!
Staff all lovely and friendly, food (Sunday roast- we had the lamb and fish dishes) really good
We had 3 delicious meals and one overcooked fish. The staff member handled it so nicely and discounted the fish meal. He was exceptionally polite and could easily see the fish was over cooked. We would definitely return. The views are amazing, the staff courteous and attentive and we didn’t feel we were being rushed out when we’d eaten. Definitely a great place to dine.
A great evening with friends. Good food good service and great atmosphere.
The food was 10/10. The chefs are brilliant. No waiting and it was all delicious and nothing at all was wrong with our lunch or breakfast. Very happy. Also service was excellent, good balance of making sure we were always tended to but not overly! Really couldn't compliment it more. In terms of our stay, for the staycation deal it was totally worth it. If I was paying full price, I'd mention little things I noticed that were below par... for example, in the room, the mattress was really hard and quite uncomfortable. Also, little things like the info card within room having 2 different wifi names and passwords that didn't even exist, so it took ages to work out wifi. Elsewhere, the balcony view was great but there was zero privacy and you couldn't have curtains open and lie on bed at the same time really. Also (balcony) just seemed a bit out of date could do with a touch up/paint/new chair etc. The shower was nice but no where to put your soap or anything except on the floor. Really little things but easy and cheap for you to fix/sort. The cafe/bar area is really nice in terms of interior design but the poor girl serving was really struggling to man it all on her own. As a result, there were dirty tables+bar top as she was trying to serve in both bar and cafe at same time. Could do with staffing it better. Overall, it is clear the restaurant has had a fantastic revamp and change of menu/kitchen staff etc. but the hotel is falling behind and it comes across as two different brands/businesses as a result.
Great - just a little noisy for our hearing aid wearer, (no soft furnishings to deaden the sound) but otherwise super - have already recommended The Imperial to 2 different friends. Lynn
We shall be back!
