About Il Ridotto Restaurant
Il nome si ispira al "Teatro Ridotto", un piccolo e antico teatro veneziano. Come l'antico teatro, il Ridotto Restaurant è un piccolo ed elegante locale, con soli nove tavoli. Nasce nel 2006 in Campo SS. Filippo e Giacomo, a pochi passi da Piazza San Marco, nel Sestiere di Castello, grazie alla determinazione e passione del Patron Gianni Bonaccorsi, che ha fortemente voluto creare un luogo che levasse la ristorazione ai livelli che questa merita. La cucina proposta è ancorata ai prodotti di terra e del mare, in cui spiccano materie prime di altissima qualità. I piatti proposti sono di ricerca, mai esasperata, che cambiano a seconda della stagione e, naturalmente, con l'ispirazione. Questa filosofia gastronomica è stata premiata con una stella Michelin dal 2013.

Very nice food.
When I called the number on the website, I was told that it was a wrong number. However, the number I was given was not even working. Regarding food, Appetizers were delicious, but the main dish (pork) and "Umami" soup were terrible. As a group of Japanese, we did not understand what they represent it as "UMAMI." We asked for advice about wine. Also, we mentioned not tannic wine, but it had tannic wine. I told her it was very tannic then she gave me an attitude, which ruined the atmosphere. Overall, our experience was not pleasant.
Really good food but high price for not fancy product.
It was great except one little misunderstanding in the reservation form online, where we were asked for the number of 'Adults'. It should be understood as the total number of guests, as we mentioned that we also come with a child but it wasn't accounted for when they only reserved a table for three. This was quickly sorted out with an extra chair nevertheless.
As a regular diner globally. This was one of those meals that will live long in my memory. From the moment we walked through the door, you could not fault it. My sincere thanks to all those that made this such a special meal.
We had a wonderful meal, great food, great service, great wine. Couldn’t fault our evening and will be back on our next trip to Venice. Thank you for a lovely night!
We expected more of Michelin-starred restaurant. The pork fat together with pork cheek became a surprise. Good food but nothing extraordinary in terms of taste combination.
The chef creates great food on plates looking like paintings. We enjoyed a very friendly service from 2 ladies and a chef whom you can see are really enjoining this. Kind regards. Hans Claerhout Belgium.
Lovely lunch. The mussels were amazing ! Fish cooked perfectly ! Probably our favorite meal during our trip.

We ate at a dozen Michelin starred restaurants while in Italy and this was one of the best experiences. The food was modern traditional without being too fussy and the service was comfortable while still being very professional.

Lunch tasting menu was full of incredible flavors. Umami-su was quite unique for a dessert but is not a traditional dessert because it is sweet. Very enjoyable!
