About Il Ridotto Restaurant
The service from our hostess and server was absolutely fantastic. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The food was very good, with the highlight being the tapas that are served at the beginning of the meal. The cod was absolutely delicious! The lunch tasting menu is a great value for anyone wanting a little taste of a Michelin-rated restaurant.
Fulfilled all expectations. Staff was excellent.
It was very tasty like allways, but a bit more on the plate would be fine. And we agree it is not possible to Change a lot, but because of this staff should be provide some more informations about the menu`s
was disapointed th the service, one of the staff (in charge - in dungarees)! Restaurant Manageress seemed to want to be in charge of eveyhing and this agve an impression of stress. Also did not Accept the staff to stanf beheinf receoption drinking water from bottles in sight of the guests. will no be going back.
Good experience and good value. The lady who served us was a stand out member of staff. Very attentive and managing a lot of tables successfully and seamlessly. Food was good, the pasta was excellent. The only thing to improve was it was a little crowded. I had to take care when getting out of my seat because it was very close to the man behind. I was the only one of us impacted by this.
Lovely personal and food.
The food and service at Il Ridotto were of a very high standard. The food had a sense of place, but played with local dishes in very interesting and delicious ways. The staff were friendly and helpful.
This was an amazing and memorable culinary experience. Your chef creates original taste combinations that offer delightful surprises and the service was excellent.
We were in Venice for 2 weeks and the very best meal we had was at Il Ridotto. Only wish I had made reservations to eat there before our last day as we would have planned more meals at Il Ridotto. Thank you for a glorious lunch.
Very nice dinner with excellent service. The food was quite creative and the staff did everything possible to make us feel welcome. I would certainly return!
Delicious, amazing value lunch menu. Great service. Inventive tapas and delicious main courses, fabulous wine, would definitely go back!
I had booked approximately 2 months in advance and said I was gluten free, it was disappointing that I had to wait until my second course to receive my bread, and it was burnt. I would have expected it to be ready for arrival. We had the 5 course tasting menu and as gluten free none of it was adapted for me. My partner had 3 starters, I just had two with no substitute. My dessert was also the same as my starter just cut up differently, with the notice given and being a michelin starred restaurant I expected more. The wine flight was very good and the waiters were very good, but the food wasn't outstanding and was disappointing for such a lot of money.
Dear Mrs Cox, we regret we disappointed you, the gluten free bread has been cooked at the moment especially for you. We always try to live up to clients expectations, and we hope to be able to demonstrate it in other occasions. Best regards, Il Ridotto
A lovely small restaurant very close (5 minutes)to Saint Marks Square & the Hotel Danieli but away from the throngs. The meal starts with a complementary trio of appetizer bites-savory mousse in a feathery crust, warm mussel with a dollop of tasty sauce, and a chocolate cake like base with a meat infused topping(weird but good). The appetizer of black spaghetti with sea urchins is sublime and the pork cheek comes as 3 little upright cylinders with bacon as a sort of skin on the outside. All were lovely to look at and excellent in taste. Helpful charming service by a stylish lady who fills all roles of maitre’d, server and sommelier . Reservations a must as there are only 12 tables perhaps. Convenient, charming, excellent food and serene atmosphere away from the hub-bub.
The chocolate cake with anchovy was inspired and my pork was the best I’ve ever had ( and I love pork!!)
Too long time to wait for a meal.
Lovely touch to give my wife an umbrella when leaving in the rain! Amazing food!
Service not at all a the level I expected for a 250 Eur meal, food was nice but not amazing. The poorest 1 Star ("Etoile") Michelin restaurant I tried (out of 8)
very disappointing. would not recommend at any chance. pasty was too salty and had an exotic odor. It would have been better if i had the anchovie raw.
A Fantastic authentic restaurant. Hard to find in touristy Venice. This was recommended by local Venetian friends. Mostly locals eat there, or visitors who know and demand excellent food and service. Relaxed attentive service in a classic atmosphere. We eat several times on our long annual visit(s) to Venice.
