About il Pirata
Trendy restaurant with quirky decor and a casual vibe serving creative, contemporary Italian dishes.
Delicious food, my favourite place in Ballyhackamore
Excellent as always
Pasta dishes are top-class as are anti pasta fish dishes particularly. Tiramisu excellent but very rich. A special mention for the pizzettas. Best thin pizzas in Belfast! Pity no large ones! Staff very friendly. Great place for informal meal.
Everything was just fantastic!
The crab had too much lemon which overpowered the flavour ... other than that no complaints we had a really good evening
Always delicious food at Il Pirata, and very friendly and helpful staff.
Great service and pleasant atmosphere - will certainly be back.
Drink is drink wherever you go but food should be special. Service was exactly what you hope for .... courteous, friendly, helpful but not in-your-face and attentive. The atmosphere mid week with some sort of party with children was lacking. The patrons on the night were placed in the window seats perhaps to make the place look busy but with the bright evening and traffic outside it distracted from the little birthday treat I had planned for my wife. Re the value, we all like good value. £25 for a bottle of Prosecco hurts when you consider alternatives. I will go back again but it will be a family affair. The place I think suits groups better. Nice and lively/ relaxed as opposed to intimate.
Food was top quality and very fresh. Staff who greeted us and served us were extremely professional and demonstrated excellent customer service without being too intrusive. I would definitely return.
Service was a little slow but friendly staff. Food was delicious, will definitely return
Great relaxed atmosphere and superb food. Thanks.
We had such a good meal here, really enjoyed everything about it. The staff were incredible, so friendly and warm. They made my nephew a meal that wasn’t on the menu which was so much appreciated by both of us.
Love your restaurant, Staff are lovely.
Beautiful food and lovely service
Food was very oily.
I had the pleasure of being here twice this Week , once for dinner and then Sunday lunch . The place had such a relaxed vibe with excellent food and cocktails. The staff are very welcoming, efficient and a good giggle too . Considering how busy it can get , the service doesn’t ever seem to be compromised. An absolute pleasure as always , see you all again soon x
Great spot. First visit for us. Definitely will return.
Service was good and quite prompt and food was fine if not particularly remarkable. Pear, goats cheese and leaves followed by duck stew and gnocchi was my meal. Biggest problem was noise. Crowding in of tables and no soft furnishing to deaden the noise makes it difficult to enjoy a sociable evening out. You either just talk to your neighbour or shout to friends across the table, which other diners were doing. This is for you if you enjoy sitting close to other diners in a noisy atmosphere. However, if you are in a group and want to talk or have any hearing problem...maybe not. Still, this is the norm now.
The new menu is really lovely and fresh ,I ate everything , service was brilliant , my faith in il pirata has been restored .
Lovely food with my wife and 3 children.
Usual good food and service. Laid back atmosphere.
Great as always. New season menu allowed for new choices, but chef did agree to make my mum's favourite from the old menu which we were very grateful for.
First visit & won't be the last!
We had a fabulous evening, gorgeous food and lovely wine selection.
