About Il Pavone
Il Pavone Restaurant is one of the longest serving family restaurants in Glasgow.
The family started Il Pavone in 1991 and is owned and run to this day and are always around to make sure that everyone who comes to Il Pavone gets a kind and friendly welcome to our restaurant.
We offer traditional and contemporary Italian Cuisine and prides itself on the quality of its food and service. All our dishes are made fresh to order by our trained chefs and served by our welcoming staff.
Il Pavone is ideally located I Glasgow city centre, being set on the bottom floor of Princes Square, on Buchanan street.
We had one of the last meals before the enforced closure due to Covid -19 The staff and service were fantastic. We hope to be able to dine with you again very soon.
Always excellent. Our favourite restaurant lost count on the times we have been. Many more visits to come.

Excellent service and food
Great food great service highly recommend
I love Il Pavone in Princess square. The staff are friendly, helpful, professional and caring. The food is always delicious and the service excellent. I will certainly be back.
As a regular visitor to this restaurant I am always pleased with the warm welcome from the staff and enjoy the surroundings. The variety of food offered is excellent and the presentation and taste of the dishes is always very good and value for money.
Waitors and waitress very attentive
I have eaten in Il Pavone on a number of occasions and the food has always been lovely, but I was there with friends on Saturday and a bit disappointed. I ordered a pasta dish with prawns and the prawns were overcooked, in fact one was mushy which really put me off eating the rest of my meal, the pasta wasn't very warm either. However the staff were lovely and the service was good.
Great food, attentive service and lovely atmosphere.
Always great service & food was lovely.
Booked for a meal to celebrate our son’s birthday, seats we were offered where poor with a overpowering smell from the kitchen. We were moved although the staff didn’t seem very happy to move us. The bruschetta was abysmal, slices of cheap garlic bread with chopped tomatoes on top. No seasoning whatsoever. One main that was brought was the wrong meal, when it did turn up everyone else had finished. The pizza my son had was also abysmal. Worst meal in Glasgow in my entire life, won’t be back and will share our experience. You should be ashamed of yourselves!
Excellent service and food was great!
I had a lovely meal with my partner for his birthday. The male server that we had was so friendly and really made us feel welcome. However, the female server that we had to take our drinks we found quite rude. She came to our table and never spoke and just sort of grunted and nodded - I just assumes she was over to take our drinks as we had not ordered these yet (she was in her late 20s and had long dark hair). The female server that took our food order was very nice and we had some banter with her - she was amazing. Food was brilliant, as usual. I was in on 27/02/2020 at 6pm.
Excellent lasagne. Friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere.
I was there celebrating my wife’s birthday with my 2 children and they laid on a big balloon for my wife first class
