Quice was too salty (too much bacon), steak was tough, creme brûlée was premade and barely warm. Best thing about meal was sparkling water and service
Would prefer table linens and lower lighting as well as soft table candles and flowers. Also, slightly lower meat portions, even though my guest and I are hardy eaters. Shame to waste and the beef is simply too dense for so much of it...but tasty! Thankyou!
This was the best dining experience we ever had! My husband was reluctant to go because of the dress code and the "frous frous" food. But even he LOVED the experience! Our server was Jorge. He was AMAZING! Highly recommend you do not miss this place when you visit🤗
Carlos has been the best waiter we have had at the resort ! He was fantastic!
I tried to give the highest rating. Some turned to gold others didn’t so not sure what is the highest. We dined here last night. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious, I had the grouper, my husband had lamb. Both were amazing. It is a superb dining experience!
Jorge, a chef, took our pictures for us. It was such a nice gesture. The service was awesome.
Good service, mediocre food at best. The lamb was overcooked. Seafood must be from last week's delivery.
Not up to expectations. The beef was good, the lamb was overcooked and very disappointing. The vegetables were excellent, but must be in short supply since the serving size was disappointing. The service was definitely up to El Cid standards and exceptional.
Increased wine selection which is included in the all inclusive would assist in the experience.
Our server, Rene, was very accommodating. We ate early because we had to get back to the room for a videoconference. He understood and while we never felt rushed, he was there with our next courses promptly and efficiently. The French onion soup is a must-have!

The lighting makes it a little difficult to read the menu. I've been coming to this resort for over ten (10) years and this is one of the best meals I've ever had. The rack of lamb was delicious. Continue the great work !
Visited two times. The first time the food was okay, but my daughter's steak had to be sent back because it was under cooked. The service was good. the second time we waited nearly 20 minutes before our waiter came, Unfortunately my daughter ordered another steak asking for it to be cooked Medium. When it arrived she cut it in half and it was blue/red and cold in the middle. we flagged doen our waiter and asked that it be cooked at Medium. When it was returned tiwas at least warm, but on the rare side of Medium Rare. We asked the waiter to then butterfly and cook the steak which they did and returned it, but the waiter told my 45 year old daughter that she didn't know what Medium was. At this point my wife and I had already completed our meals and waited for our daughter to eat hers. After she was done, we waited 15 minutes for our waiter so we could order desert and then decided to leave. We cancelled our next reservation tp this restaurant..
This is the newest restaurant in the all inclusive resort we are staying. It considers itself as an exclusive dining experience. They have a dress code which was never made public in any literature, or the resort website or mentioned to us prior to our arrival at the resort. I showed up in an expensive collard shirt and pants and Keen athletic footwear. These are not open-toed sandals or anything that would be considered unseemly, however the maitre' d very discourteously wouldn't allow us to enter saying that i was wearing sandals. even. I explained that I did not have any other shoes with me on the trip, but he insisted that they were his rules and we could not enter. The very fact that this "dress code" was never advertised left us without the information needed to prepare ourselves for the trip and created an embarrassing situation. The inflexibility of the rules during their first operating season (open less than 3 months) and allowing a VIP member into the restaurant as good will, speaks volumes of their blindness to good customer service. We were also told by other staff that we were not the first or only members to be treated this poorly. El Cid has beautiful resorts with very hard working staff and we enjoy ourselves during our visits (Platinum members for 5 years), but their policymakers lack of understanding that their customers happiness will make or break them is baffling! This unfortunately goes beyond our restaurant experience, but I won't expose that bad blood here.

Very disappointed with the menu choices. French does not describe the food. It is more like a steakhouse.

If you strictly enforce the dress code, not allowing closed toed sandals for men even though no one could notice that they were sandals, then you should also enforce women who come with very short raggety jean shorts and very low cut tops. Doesn't seem fair to allow women these rights and not men when the feel are under the table and no one would see them as opposed to the way some women dress.
Enjoyed our meal, nice quiet atmosphere with great service.

The ambiance, service and presentation of food and drink were excellent and sufficient to say pleasure of sensations in eating.
Pork loin dry, tough Salmon only comes well done, too dry Beef Bourgogne beef tough Asparagus salad too small Very disappointing!!
