About Hydeout Southern Bar-B-Q & Smokehouse
Hydeout was born out of the sheer love of American barbecue. The word originally means 'a social gathering with food' We aim to offer you true American barbecue smoked low and slow enjoyed in the relaxed surroundings of a Texan style Bar-B-Q Joint. We smoke our meats fresh everyday over hickory and fruit woods. We also use a charcoal Inka oven for steaks and burgers, all this bringing you toe wiggling flavours from across the southern states. Enjoy!
Loved my starter ( iceberg wedge ) however not so keen on my main ... probably wrong choice ... just didn't like the texture or the depth of smokiness of the brisket. Mississippi Mud Pie is to die for. Good atmosphere.
We had amazine service from the 2 gentlemen the moment we walked through the door. Definitely service with a smile and couldn't do enough to make sure our meal was excellent. The food was also lovely and very good portions for the price. Will definitely be returning.
Great food, Great Beer, Great Service....TIP TOP!! American food heaven in Wales 😋😋
Shared a great time with old friends with good food in a excellent Location
Thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere.
Great evening , Hannah was lovely
As always great food and service at a really great price.
Lovely staff, clean restaurant, great food and decent gin 😁
We came here as a group of four. I had the Mac n cheese with added bacon and garlic bread.. the Mac and cheese was so bland and had barely any taste the garlic bread was like bread no flavour. I had to wait a while for my Mac n cheese which was strange and it was the easiest. My partner had the t bone steak which he enjoyed but not worth the money. He didn't get a steak knife either. My brother had Raw chips which he also had to send back and get fresh ones. I'm shocked they even came to the table looking like that. We all ordered the Mississippi mud shake which I couldn't understand the 3.50 price tag for something that tasted the way it did almost like milk with ice bits in them. All in all I wasn't happy with the food. The service from the waiting staff was great and all nice and friendly but spending £85 on that is not worth it what so ever. We have dined here when it first opened so from then to now a lot has changed. Even the cowslaw was bland. I really don't like giving bad reviews but none of us where happy. Sorry
Amazing food and a lot of it.
There was a lack of attentiveness from staff. Once we finished our meal we sat for 50 minutes without plates being cleared or acknowledgment. When finally placing desert order had to wait 25 mins for it not to arrive - then had to chase. Fully appreciate this was taken off bill as it wasn’t processed. At no point during meal were we asked if we wanted more drinks. Lots of people actually walking up and asking for drinks. You could make a fortune if you asked people if they wanted another drink! Despite this the food was amazing and we all really enjoyed it.
Great food and service as always. Little one loved the his meal. As did the table of 6 adults.
We have been eating at the Hydeout for quite awhile now. This time we felt that the service was poor, slow and unattentive. The food was good but we are rating the whole experience and the service, on this occasion, really detracted from the experience.
Excellent service and food cooked to perfection
Waiting on staff could not of been more helpful & friendly. Food was delicious too
The macaroni and cheese was a bit bland so could do with a little more flavour.
Very nice place, the nachos were awesome. We had the sharing plate which was huge an just about managed it. The beans are very tasty along with all other items in the sharing plate .
Really enjoyed our visit , food was lovely, will visit again
Good was very good and the service...considering how busy it was was good too. Will be back for more soon!
Great way to celebrate our Anniversary. Just a shame you had ran out of prosecco
Lovely and friendly staff, amazing food too!
I thought that being charged £1.50 each for two children's black currant and waters was very expensive, if I had known the price I would have gone and got their drinks out of the car. We asked for sweet potatoe fries and pickles with one of the meals but they forgot them. We were never asked if everything was ok with our meals, which lacks customer service. Very slow with all aspects really and we got there when it was quiet.
had an amazing meal..staff were very welcoming allowing us to switch our reservation time without a fuss. The burgers were fantastic.
arrived shown table bit of a delay in getting drinks food was ordered and arrived quickly Burgers and chicken wings were excellent I ordered the waffles for desert a large portion with one scope of ice cream not enough toffee sauce so was dry to eat shame as they looked great
