About Hyde & Co Prohibition Cocktail Bar
Hidden in plain sight, just off Clifton Triangle, Hyde & Co is one of Bristol’s original speakeasy cocktail bars.
With a reputation for award-winning creative cocktails, exceptional customer service and a unique atmosphere inspired by the great cocktail bars of New York City, Hyde & Co has been an institution on Bristol’s famous cocktail scene since opening its doors back in 2010.
Delicious cocktails with excellent recommendations from the bar staff. Intimate atmosphere.
Great Cocktails and friendly service, with such a large group it was a little slow at times but still good.
Spent NYE at Hyde & Co and it was fantastic. It was our second time there and we can't wait to go back. The service and drinks are amazing; you pay a premium compared to some other bars but it's worth every penny 👍
Great night had by all!
Had such a fantastic evening at Hyde & Co with a friend. It was so nice being able to sit and chat without feeling crowded or rushed to leave. The service was incredible with the barman offering lots of suggestions tailored to our mood. Will definitely be coming back.
Lovely pre dinner drinks. Party of 15 and very well looked after.
Great atmosphere and service
At times the music was a bit loud, so was difficult to talk. Some seating was are also a bit uncomfortable/low - not great for the back. However, the service was great and the drinks were delicious. The decor/atmosphere was also more interesting than at Redlight down the road.
Great venue and friendly knowledgeable staff
There was a relly nice atmophere. We tried really unique cocktails with exceptional ingriedients. I look forward to going there again. The bartender was very kind and professional. Bravo!!! 🍾 🥂
We had a lovely time and they were very good to keep our table for us when we rang to let them know we were significantly delayed.
Lovely cocktails and loads to choose from the menu. Unfortunately the bar was absolutely freezing, we did mention it to our server but it didn't warm up. A real shame as I was looking forward to visiting and we would have stayed for more drinks but ended up going elsewhere as it was so cold.
Always first choice for entertaining visitors!
Beautiful atmosphere, really relaxed with good music. Drinks were very tasty and our waiter was informed and friendly. Would definitely go back when I'm in Bristol.
The service was quite slow and it took a while for anyone to take our first order, but it was busy so it was understandable and we still had a great evening
Waitress very attentive and polite but found the barmen a bit arrogant. Got the impression they prefer clientele to be below 25 years of age and maybe I wasn't 'hipster' enough. Seating uncomfortable as perched on narrow padded bench which was a bit upright. More suitable for a short stay, maybe a pre before moving on to somewhere with more atmosphere, although cocktail menu extensive and its concept of the story of 1920's Paris charming . However my cocktail had an ice cube in it that was so large it could have sunk the titanic!
We had a great night at Hyde and Co , fab cocktails, great service -very enjoyable!
The whole idea was great. However we were stood in the cold a bit longer than id like waiting for the staff to open the door. I think they may have been a bit under staffed as we were waiting about 10/15 mins for a round of two drinks. I booked a table, but then we were sat at the bar, this wasn't ideal and also made for loud and disturbing back ground noise coming from the bar (staff making cocktails) which meant we felt like we couldn't have a private convo - in my opinion if you book a table you shouldn't be sat at the bar (this is not a table). Overall the cocktails were tasty - definitely over priced, I would have happily paid £8-9, however most of the cocktails were £10-12. I do have to praise the staff though, they were very friendly and knew their stuff when it came to cocktails. However, I probably would not return or recommend.
Arrived on time to be told we were late, luckily I still had the email conformation. Someone else behind us jumped the queue who were actually late! We were made to wait in foyer, seated in about 10 minutes, given water, first drinks arrived 35 minutes after entering premises. Only after I chased after 30 minutes. Understand they were busy, but first contact we were made to feel we were in the wrong, by the young bar member, then we were made to wait, when I feel they should have tried to put that wrong right. We weren't made to feel valued as a customer. Don't plan to return.
Brilliant service, had some great suggestions for cocktails to try. Really loveled atmosphere, music at a brilliant volume. Perfect place for a date.
