About Hunters Lodge Inn
The Hunters Lodge Inn occupies an enviable position in the heart of unspoilt Somerset countryside. Having panoramic views to the North but still being a stones throw from the A303, the arterial route of the South West. We have something for everyone. Traditional bars, large restaurant / function room, large car park and expansive grounds. Whether popping in for a coffee, a quick bite or part of a large group we can cater for all.
Another very good meal at Hunters Lodge, thank you.
good food some of the seats are bit old and sink down a bit. good food efficient service not overly fussy. good value pleasant evening.
Great place to meet friends and family. Children’s play area was even good in the rain
Lovely evening at the Hunters Lodge first class food, the only downfall for our party of 8 was that we were next to a large table with several noisey, badly behaved small children it was just unfortunate and spoilt the meal, i must add that we all love children and understand it is a family pub with a wonderful play area. well done to all the staff very polite and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to you all.
Another excellent visit to the Hunters Lodge served by Yasmin and the team. Our Grandson Tommy enjoyed the visit including going on the Tractors and the other play areas. He also enjoyed going to watch the Goats, Horses and Alpaca. Many Thanks
Was great to go out and have somewhere for the kids to run around while waiting for our food. Will definitely recommend to friends
Very nice thanks
excellent place for families of all sizes to come and enjoy a stress-free meal. We were a party of 5 adults and 4 children of mixed ages and we were all catered for -admirably. It was a delight to enter an air-conditioned restaurant and with the food cooked freshly, the wait was pleasurable due to the supply of drawing books and coloured pencils for the youngest while adults enjoyed a cool drink and chat. All the food was well presented and all our party enjoyed it. It was brilliant to sit outside on the balcony to enjoy a coffee while the children spent time in the fantastic play area. Every age catered for. There is a sad lack of this kind of venue in our area so we are very lucky to have found Hunter's Lodge and will without doubt be frequenting this great restaurant. Well done to all the very obliging staff for making this a very pleasant experience for us all. Pat R - Queen Camel
Very enjoyable meal with family in an unpressured and friendly environment.
A party of 9, we all enjoyed our meals and would definitely be back again. Many thanks
Real family friendly pub.Food always good and staff are friendly and helpful Been a few times now and the children love it there.
As usual the Sunday roast was the best, we always like to try different places but so far for a great Sunday roast we haven’t found better than the Hunters Lodge.
Decided to go here due to the play area for the children. We waited a long time to be served we were a group of 7 and other tables were served before us even though they came in after. We had to ask at the bar for service however when the meals were served the food was slightly over cooked but everyone was happy and the children enjoyed the outside area.
Great meal and service as usual
Food and staff are both fantastic
Good choice of food. Competive prices. Good value if used with savers card. Main restaurant area a bit soulless and very busy on our visit but we ate in bar which we far preferred.
Absolutely gorgeous meal will definitely be coming back
Would like a little bit more choice for vegetarians or even an offer of an omelette for a small appetite
We had the most wonderful afternoon sat out in the sun with fantastic food and drink highly recommend
Upon arriving at the bar we were told you are seated at table number 4 the main dinning room. Told pointed in the direction of the main dinning room. We would have expected to be shown to our table, not walking into the dinning area looking for our table. On the booking details we requested a high chair, there was no high chair at the table. As we weren't shown to our table we had to find our high chair. That high chair was very dirty we had to clean prior to use. The waitresses were more interested in cleaning down the other table waited for 15 minutes to order our food and drinks the restaurant wasn't busy. Plus point the food was very enjoyable.
Excellent carvery as usual.
Great food as always...why would you go anywhere else!!
Great many thanks
Supper food will be coming back soon
