About Howies Chapel Street
Just a short walk from the main shopping district, our Aberdeen restaurant is a wee cracker. Actually, it’s a rather large cracker with capacity for up to 170 people. Two separate private dining rooms and a large courtyard create a relaxed and stylish atmosphere.
Scottish, seasonal and seriously tasty, the menus are packed with local produce full of flavour and fantastic value for money.
It was my first trip to Aberdeen & booked Howies straight away for dinner when it appeared in Restaurants Search as I've dined in them in Edinburgh. The food was as delicious as always! It tastes of home comfort food, very gentle taste, ideal portions and a very good combinations of meals. The service as fantastic as always. You will never be disturbed by stuff. I will highly recommend Howies to anyone who know what good food is. Thank you for your hard work-you do give excellent results.
Thank you Howies for a very enjoyable evening in the private room on Saturday evening. Attentive service, good food and reasonably priced !
Efficient friendly service, lovely food in a nice atmosphere st a fair price.
Private room was nice & service great 👍
Great set menu for early diners. We were up meeting our son as he has started at uni. My husband's meal was a bit too cold for his liking but they rectified it and even gave him his dessert for free as an apology. This was great customer service. The food was great and the service good too. Recommended.
We had Early Dining offer and felt that the quality and quantity of food on this offer was excellent. Only slight negative is wine prices are a bit expensive
Family party. Excellent service.
Eaten here before and never disappoints. Service staff food and atmosphere one of the best in Aberdeen in my opinion.
Food was excellent and the staff were lovely and efficient. I definitely recommend.
Excellent food and service as always.
A perfect location for a relaxed dinner catching up with friends.
Massively overpriced. Their "focaccia" was served cold, with poor quality oil and was not actually a proper focaccia. The fish and chips was too oily, the hand cut chips were passable and the burger I had was okay but nothing special. They tried to overcharge me for it as well. Wouldn't be back. Ashamed my parents had this place to introduce them to Scottish food. To be fair the waitresses were very kind and service was very good.
We chose from the pre-theatre menu and was not disappointed in the food. The service was good and the restaurant had a busy friendly atmosphere.
Great 2 course set menu price
Pot and black pudding dish very dry a sauce boat of jus would compliment the dish
Friendly and cosy place , we had a great lunch and would highly recommend the fish cakes.
Exactly food and service, hope to be back soon.
Food and service excellent standard. Very reasonably priced for city centre. Low mark for atmosphere on this occasion as there were renovations going on. All diners were seated in a small space.......making it very difficult to relax and have a private chat with my friend.
Can’t fault Howies at all, amazing food, lovely waiter & excellent service - would highly recommend!
