About Howard Street
Opened in 2013 by award winning chef Marty Murphy, Howard Street is steadily gaining a reputation for high quality produce, with south eastern undertones that result in dishes people come back for time and time again. In a lofty, industrial-esque setting customers can enjoy the food along with some of our carefully selected wines or one of Sean’s show stopping cocktails from his ‘rejuvenated’ list containing our signature cocktails along with classics with a twist.
With its striking exterior and exposed brick interior, Howard Street is a treat for the eyes as well as the taste buds. With a tempting (and reasonably priced) pre-theatre menu, as well as lunch and a la carte, there is something to suit all budgets. The kitchen focuses on full-flavoured dishes using local ingredients and the quality really is top-notch.
Always great eat in this restaurant Great staff and great atmosphere Will be back Highly recommend
Great place to go keep it up
Can’t wait to visit again!
Really great meal, I had the duck breast and it was superb. Everyone enjoyed it and the waitress could tell we'd already sunk a few pints already and so provided plenty of water! Thanks again.
Very good service. Weren't rushed at all. Topped up our water each time they came to the table. Couldn't fault anything about the food especially
Another great evening, cannot fault the food
We are regulars here because it is consistently excellent. Staff are super efficient and very friendly. There are always specials available. Great value too. Perfectly cooked fish and generous portions. Will be back soon.
Excellent food and very accommodating. Anna was extremely helpful and very efficient.
Service was very good...food excellent. Atmosphere great too. Defo visit again
First time here. Had the smoked cod and smoked haddock. Both delicious and can't wait to come back.
Wine is a bit pricey but your restaurant is my favourite one in Belfast. Lovely staff and surroundings.
Passion and hard work really shine through in this consistently top quality restaurant. if you like healthy eastern influenced food bursting with flavour, you won't find better in Belfast.
We were a party of 22 for lunch and, despite the numbers, the service was excellent? Everyone was happy with their food too. Couldn't ask for anything more.
Always delicious food ! Only issue was tables for two were very close together. Pre-theatre great value !
I had a very unfortunate experience with my food in that I found a large shard of glass inside one of the fritters they serve as a starter. Gladly I felt the sharpness of it in my mouth before swallowing and instantly alerted a member of staff. In hindsight I think the response of the restaurant was extremely unprofessional and not overly acceptable. The girl we alerted simply took the food away, apologised and told me a new batch had been made and took the starter off the bill. I was having a lovely evening with a good friend and didn’t want to dampen the evening anymore by making a scene, I do regret not challenging them on that response, I would have expected at the very very least that 50% of the bill be deducted and a conversation with the manager, which didn’t happen, it was a simple 2 second apology and brushed off. I could have easily swallowed the glass which I don’t need to explain is quite dangerous. I wouldn’t return due to the awful response to something serious such as that.
appalling sound system just so noisy all round
Food and device was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant
Great food and service
Excellent food. Restored my faith on eating out in Belfast
Great place to go for really good food the service was amazing and the atmosphere was great
Favourite restaurant in Northern Ireland
Unbelievable food, brilliant service and all at a great price!
Five fussy eaters came away very happy, after our dining experience here. Our waitress was excellent and the food was perfect. We will be back ASAP!
This was a Christmas present for my in laws. We all had a fantastic meal. There were clean plates all round. Would highly recommend. The pre theatre menu is £30 for 3 courses.
16 people for Christmas dinner. Food was great. However, we were forgotten about after our mains. Desserts came out very late which made us 1 hour late for our next booking. Gluten free and yeast free diners were left and made to wait for their dessert until after everyone else had their dessert. Restaurant was very warm and chairs were a bit uncomfortable.
