About Howard Street
Opened in 2013 by award winning chef Marty Murphy, Howard Street is steadily gaining a reputation for high quality produce, with south eastern undertones that result in dishes people come back for time and time again. In a lofty, industrial-esque setting customers can enjoy the food along with some of our carefully selected wines or one of Sean’s show stopping cocktails from his ‘rejuvenated’ list containing our signature cocktails along with classics with a twist.
With its striking exterior and exposed brick interior, Howard Street is a treat for the eyes as well as the taste buds. With a tempting (and reasonably priced) pre-theatre menu, as well as lunch and a la carte, there is something to suit all budgets. The kitchen focuses on full-flavoured dishes using local ingredients and the quality really is top-notch.
Excellent meal for all 6 of us. Very knowledgable about vegan diet, which was a nice change for the two vegans in our party.
More than happy with our dinner experience. Server was attentive and polite. We will return
Despite trying other venues around the city, I have found Howard Street difficult to better for lunch or pre-theatre in respect of food, staff/service and value.
Another great dining experience at Howard Street. Looking forward to the next visit.
We had a really enjoyable pre-theatre meal, great service with friendly and knowledgeable staff, the food was beautifully presented and delicious.
Would definitely recommend to friends and will come back. Only lost a small mark as steak was a bit tougher than expected but still a lovely flavour. Service was excellent. Overall we loved it.
Never disappointed after dining with you.
As always amazing! Still our no1 place to go ❤️
Good food and drink. Only marked down 1 star as none of the desserts appealed to me!
Great food, warm and inviting decor, Shane about the service. We had to wait for ages before anyone came to take our drinks order after we sat down. Then again we had to wait for a glass of red after ordering it neatly 10 minutes earlier.. my friend had almost finished her steak by the time the glass arrived!
Food amazing as always! Was very busy so a little noisy but staff very attentive and friendly. Always enjoy howard street and can't wait to return.
Great venue for lunch. Never disappoints.
excellent atmosphere, food and service would highly recommend
Terrific food, impeccable service, we have never been disappointed. And so handy for the Opera House.
Food, atmosphere amd service was great. I thought the wine was a bit expensive. But otherwise we really enjoyed our evening.
The pre theatre menu was very good, but a number of the options had supplements, therefore it was not as good value as the pre theatre price suggested. however the service, atmosphere and quality of food was excellent.
‘Howard Street’ is always my first choice when going to the G.O.H and it never disappoints .
The food and service at Howard Street was impeccable as always! One of my favourite places in Belfast.
Food is always 10/10 to which I recommend to anyone I meet. Atmosphere is lovely and staff couldn’t be any friendlier with knowledge of all dishes and drinks.
Continues to be one of Belfasts best restaurants
Do not miss the coconut prawn soup starter Wow
Absolutely first class food and service
Made to feel very welcome. Staff are very down to earth and create a fantastic atmosphere. They really help make our nights in Howard st very special. The lady with ginger hair who greets customers and shows them to their seats is a massive asset.always smiling and helpful. Not one aspect of the whole experience could I fault. The new guy making the cocktails was good fun and works very hard. Keep up the excellent work. Can't wait to go back, my most favourite restaurant.
