Service was great, friendly and speedy, restaurant has a relaxed comfortable feel about it. The food was a bit of a disappointment though - it wasn't very hot (both Starter and Main), also the Nasi Goreng lacked flavour - it wasn't busy when I ate so that can't be the reason If the food tasted better then the price would be reasonable, but given the standard, I'd say it was overpriced :-/
Great place. Always enjoy eating there. Front of house always very friendly and welcoming.
Lovely meal and fabulous atmosphere.....will be back
Good, friendly service. We enjoyed our food and cocktails.
Always like Host! Love the small dishes they are so tasty and delicious. The service is so quick.
The food was ok, nothing special. The 2 cocktails for £10 is a good offer.
Ordered deep fried ham hock & onion bhajis to start. These were great. Our cocktails - Old Fashions, were also great. My mum and girl friend's thai green curries were really good. My chicken pad thai, just lacked that essential fresh, clarity of taste that I have experienced in say food in Malaysia - that thing which marks it out as different from Chinese food. The pad thai felt kind of stodgy; the flavours were all kind of there, but just not sharp or vibrant enough. It was disappointing, especially considering how good everything else was.
Fantastic. We love Host. Food is consistently great
Perfect for pre or post show theatre nibbles, Friendly, great value for money and consistently fabulous food.
Could have done with another waitress: they seemed super busy. Other than that, we had a great time.
Very quick service...lovely food ..very enjoyable
Fabulous, food was amazing, we had a wonderful evening. Thank you
The deep fried pulled pork was amazing! And cocktails also delicious!
Great service, delicious food and cocktails!
Simple food, well done but overpriced.
Excellent place to eat, staff was really friendly, the place is clean and the food is lovely. Great value for money.
Ate here before a show. Service was swift without feeling rushed. Food was very tasty with realistic sized portions. Good cocktails. All in all a very good start to a night out.
Great food great staff!
Connor, Poppy and the rest of the staff couldn’t do enough for us.
Loves the food and appreciated the excellent service. Will visit again.
I ate here with my boyfriend and his parents. The staff were lovely and very attentive. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed the meal. I would have liked a bit more rice than the serving I was given as my curry had quite a bit of sauce. There was a bit of a draft on us but on the whole it was a lovely experience.
We had an issue that one of the meals we ordered was not what was advertised on the menu. When we brought this up the waiter and manager dealt with it quite passive aggressively.
Food is very nice but menu could have more options
Restaurant was nice and service very good. Nice menu but the food was very underseasoned.
I love HoSt! The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Whether you fancy small plates or a main meal, I’d highly recommend you give it a try. The cocktails are scrummy too!
