About Hogtown Smoke
Southern-style barbecue dripping with flavour rules at this Beach newcomer, the standstill evolution of its wildly popular barbecue-on-wheels predecessor.
Here, Pit Master Scott ' Hogfather' Fraser & his brother Kevin take enthusiastic customers on a ride through the expansive wonders of smoking, grilling and saucing with stops along the way at pulled pork, brisket and baby back ribs meaty enough to shame a caveman.
Everything is cooked a long time here, but your patience pays off in spades. Guests dig in with both hands, their collection of spent napkins growing in direct relation to their enjoyment of the meal.
Always have a good meal when I am here, and the staff are excellent.

We sat on the back patio. Service was excellent , food came quickly but we were never rushed. Good selection of interesting beers. This is the third time that I have eaten here. On the first two I would rate the food quality as 5 x 5. This time maybe only 4 out of 5. Pulled pork was a little too dry, wings were definitely overdone . Brisket was excellent
We had a great time and the monster ribs were fantastic! I will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to my friends. My only comment is that the high bar stools on the patio were uncomfortable, but this should not stop you from visiting.
The perfect version of what it is - casual BBQ joint, with phenomenal BBQ. Burt ends are a must. Arugula salad w pecorino, smoked pancetta and balsamic Was fantastic. Great Caesar. Super friendly service. My family loved it all.

The food was ok but with a bit too much fat, like the angus brisket, which I usually find leaner in other places. The house poutine was fine but we should have been told by the waitress that it would have big chunks of pork on top. Overall, the food was quite salty and we felt bloated, kept drinking water after leaving the restaurant. Ribs could have been more tender (like, at Summer Hill). All meat portions were generous, yam fries thin and crispy, great mac & cheese. Nice spicy chipotle side sauce. Original decor. Casual friendly service. Did not have to wait long. Our recommendation: Lay off the salt and let people add it according to taste and health needs.
The food, drink and service was amazing! We brought 2 kids with us and they loved it too. It's great that the patio is covered because when we came out to the car, we realized it was raining - not on Hogtown's patio! Love this place!
The food was amazing. Our server was very knowledgable and gave great suggestions for what to try. Chicken wings were my favourite.
This place is a gem! vibe is great, service always close by and the food is all you need. our party was large enough to try many of the items and just perfect BBQ!
The brisket chicken and coleslaw was delicious. The ribs and cornbread were both really dry.

We were in Friday past. The beans were more like soup, being that there was more liquid than bean. I do hope this was just an end of the pot type of situation or a bad scoop, as previously yours beans were very good indeed.

I received a modification reservation via email, half an hour later than my reservation time, to tell me that my reservation would have to be pushed 45 minutes. Now, I was not in a hurry, however I did not feel that getting an email modification reservation that late was ideal. I think you should be able to get a modification earlier, say an hour beforehand, rather than later, especially if you're commuting into the city. The food was great.
