About Highgrove House Hotel
Location, location, location - there is no finer view in Ayrshire than from the patio at Highgrove House Hotel on the outskirts of Troon, Ayrshire. Looking out from its spectacular hilltop position, along miles of coastline across the Firth of Clyde to the sensational beauty of the Isle of Arran, an ever-changing sky and glorious sunsets are yours to feast your eyes upon!
Always promising a warm welcome and offering panoramic views of Ayrshire, Highgrove has been owned and managed by the Costley family for 30 years and was the first Hotel in the Costley group.
The dishes which Highgrove is synonymous with, have been developed over the years to become our celebrated signature dishes. Highgrove is truly unique!
Fantastic food and venue
We all had a wonderful time. Staff left us in peace. Their presence never felt intrusive. A perfect dining experience. Well done and thank you.
Staff were helpful and pleasant. Food was excellent. The only minor complaint we had was when the sun was shining we became too warm at the window. The view was beautiful but unfortunately the heat through the glass was quite intense. I should add that it didn't spoil our enjoyment of our celebratory lunch. Thank you.
Beautiful hotel Fabulous food Staff very a coming and attentiveý
Chef a little heavy handed with the salt, otherwise food very good. Better leaving it up to the customer to choose how much salt they want in Thier food, keep up the good work!!.
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The food was beautifully presented and tasty. Especially liked the 'Happy Anniversary' piped on the dessert after a chance remark to the waitress. We look forward to our next visit.
We were 5 ladies out for lunch we were well looked after and anything we asked about the staff were able to answer straight away and helped us tweak the food a wee bit to suit or requirements . We ended up staying for 4 hrs chatting away and when I asked if we needed to move to let them get on we were reassured we could sit on just chatting . Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon .
We had a most enjoyable dining experience at Highgrove recently. Food and ambience top class! Special mention to Jade who looked after us very well.
From the moment you walk through the front door the hotel is welcoming in every way. This is then confirmed by the friendly and helpful staff. Our room was beautiful and spacious and we could have held a party in the bathroom - largest bathroom I have ever seen. Lovely and warm with exceptionally comfortable beds. The food just added to the lovely memorable stay at Highgrove. Thank you.
Would definitely come back
Best cleanest hotel I have stayed in. Staff fantastic. Food excellent.
Excellent lunch as usual, thanks
Couldn’t fault anything.
This was a birthday lunch. We had a lovely table by the window, as I had requested. We have just moved back to Troon after 20 years away. Highgrove had changed in its buildings - the new glass area is stunning - but the food and the service were just as good as we remembered from all those years ago. Many thanks to your team.
This was my 4th or 5th visit and I remain impressed. The portion sizes are right in the Cinderella range and service is great. A couple of my guests did seem a bit disappointed in their chicken but I think that they overdid their own seasoning (they swamped it in salt - in part because they couldn't see the salt running out of the cellar). For me the vegetarian options were and have been great. Maybe offering additional gluten free options would be nice (there is a genuine rise in wheat gluten intolerance and this ought to be noted - so maybe gluten free pancakes for the ratatouilles?). So add in the great views across the Ayrshire coast and it's a great place for lunch (never visited for dinner).
Slow between courses . Tables too small from r 2 people not much room for dishes . . Staff not smiling seemed like a chore most
Pleasant lunch. Would recommend conservatory blinds are able to function as sun can be blinding.
Perfect location for a perfect meal ,we were celebrating our 25 anniversary, and celebrating that our son was joining the RAF . Thank you all for a great meal .
Always perfect- been coming for many years!!
