About Herringbone Goldenacre
Two independent watering holes, one in the city and one by the sea. Pouring beautiful local craft beers, a selection of our very favourite wines, and the best seasonal and regional ingredients, served simply.
Everything we stock is here because we like it and
we hope you do too. We have taken great care to
create a menu that reflects our passion for what
we do and the products we love, not to mention
the people who make them
We had a lovely meal. Service and atmosphere excellent
There is always a lovely atmosphere in Herringbone - the staff are friendly and efficient and the food is good. No hesitation in recommending Herringbone whether its for a coffee, a snack or a meal the welcome from staff is the same and the added bonus is that it is dog friendly!!
Great food, great location, great atmosphere and dog friendly, what's not to like?
Had a lovely meal took my family for the first time they stay Iin Fife and thought it was great we all will be back soonx
We found everything we chose to be excellent - especially as someone we knew had said they had not found their meal as good as it should have been. The only thing we would have liked would have been one or two more choices. The mushroom starters and the beef and the burgers were all perfect. Thank you
Lovely relaxing brunch. A bike rack would be great, especially as you are just off the bike path. I locked my bike to a lamppost as a staff member suggested, but slipped when I was unlocking it and it got grazed by a passing bus! 😐
Loved it, food was superb and a great night out
We had a voucher and I must say we had an excellent meal so thank you very much. The food was lovely and hot and well cooked. The portions were really good. The meal exceeded my expectations. Thanks.
Great food, great choice of drinks and lovely friendly staff.
We had a lovely 3 course lunch which we all thoroughly enjoyed. We all tried something different to anything we have had before and it was wonderful.
Really enjoyed the meal, staff were excellent and very friendly, Good atmosphere.
Great service and food.
Reliably good, friendly service. Very tolerant of a group of us bringing several prams and babies/toddlers in! Good coffee and scones too. Have been for lunch and dinner too at other times. A great local bistro/bar/cafe.
Lovely place. Had great dinner with family. Very pleasant and helpful service, good food.
Very nice restaurant, stylish interior. Efficient staff. Although we had an Itison voucher £32 for 4 people, 2 courses each. We managed to add £72 to our bill, with half price cocktails, wine, sides, desserts and coffee!. Hence the 3 stars. 4 stars are given as the first choice of starter was no longer available. Meeting friends for Sunday lunch. Looks like it will become our local. Have also eaten at the North Berwick restaurant, where our labrador and golden retriever dogs were made welcome
This is my favourite restaurant in Edinburgh but was slightly disappointed with the service at the weekend. One of my friends is dairy free, and she asked for the french toast without milk. The kitchen said they were too busy despite the restaurant being pretty empty at the time. I'm not sure there is ever a time things can be so busy that someone can't crack an egg into a bowl instead of using already mixed milk and egg for the french toast.
The barley salad with out the ham hock was slightly bland but i don't like red onions so picked out most of the flavour. Everything else was amazing. Particularly the truffle and parmesan fries. Waiting staff were fantastic. Thanks for having us.
We’ll be back!
Another excellent meal at our favourite local restaurant.
Great sea bass and fries with Parmesan and truffle were delicious !
Could not fault anything. Excellent service received, from making the booking through to the end of our birthday celebration.
Great place for a meal or a few drinks. Been here quite a few times now and there is always a really good atmosphere, even when it's a bit quieter. Service as always was brilliant.
Very nice lunch and drinks. Friendly, polite staff and not too long to wait for food. The prawn and brioche was fantastic but the burgers lacked a substantial salad element on the plate. The desserts were to die for and the house wine pleasant for the price. We had a gift voucher to reduce the total cost, which would have been on the high side for a suburban casual lunch but would return if the occasion arises. Busy but nice atmosphere for a post new year Thursday afternoon.
Nice place with nice food
