About Herringbone Goldenacre
Two independent watering holes, one in the city and one by the sea. Pouring beautiful local craft beers, a selection of our very favourite wines, and the best seasonal and regional ingredients, served simply.
Lovely menu for starters, mains and drinks. Less inspired by the dessert menu but compensated with a dessert cocktail. Good service and nice atmosphere.
We had a great night - perfect venue for 14 of us for a 21st birthday celebration. Particularly like to mention Robert’s care and attention to is. The bar for a cocktail, space to chat and then great food - and so local! Excellent!
Always wonderful in every aspect every time I have been there.
Second visit and will definitely return again !
Great to have a handy place in the area
This was my first visit and I will definitely return.
Lovely place and staff. Will definitely be back
Have visited a few times now, lovely food, helpful friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, very clean. Will be back again soon.
Excellent!! Food very different and delicious! Service efficient and friendly.... just a lovely all round experience!!! Loved it!!
Been here on several occasions since it opened last year. The food & Service this time was a step up than previously. Staff were on hand and nicely attentive. Great night.
Our waitress was in the wrong job. She was far too superior to take orders for punters’ food and drink requests. She couldn’t hear our requests anyway first time as the bass beat from the music was so loud and dominant to the whole space. Not a venue to go to meet and chat to friends unless you enjoy other people’s music taste being imposed on you at a high volume.
Our food was delicious with generous portions. I couldn’t finish the large Cullen Skink and the steak burger defeated my partner sadly. The Perfect Pear cocktail was yummy too! The only comment would be that it did seem to take an exceptionally long time for the food to arrive, allowing for it all being freshly made. All the staff we dealt with were lovely.
Sadly disappointing. Herringbone started out with so much promise and now every time I go back, I end the evening thinking, that should have been better. Food was ok but not great, very average. Service pretty poor, they just don't seem on the ball, definitely not attentive, despite being friendly enough. They also need blinds as on a sunny day its like going on a sun bed, not something we all enjoy, and squinting into direct sunlight whilst trying to enjoy a meal out is annoying. Herringbone is a lovely venue but it's definitely losing its appeal and I won't hurry back this time.
Delicious food and great atmosphere, really enjoyed our evening and would recommend to family and friends. However, the starter of bread and olives for about £5 was a extremely overpriced for 2 tiny slices and I would only stick to mains next time.
Really friendly staff and really good food. Great addition to Goldenacre.
Delicious breakfast and would recommend the eggs benedict!
Went for mother’s day and loved the set menu with complementary cocktail. Couldn’t fault it. The Malbec Rose was delicious. The staff were extremely attentive and accommodating especially for our two kiddies. Great day!
Excellent food and service.
It was VERY noisy in the space to the left of the main door as you come in, and quite draughty beside the window. The streak slices were too rare. Waitress should ask how customer likes the meat done. Otherwise, it was quite tasty
Loved our evening at Herringbone Goldenacre - great food, great cocktails, great service!
Really friendly staff
Young children at next table were singing and very noisy which spoilt the last part of our visit.
We had a lovely time with excellent service. The food was delicious as were our cocktails and wine. Many thanks to all concerned.
