About Herringbone Goldenacre
Two independent watering holes, one in the city and one by the sea. Pouring beautiful local craft beers, a selection of our very favourite wines, and the best seasonal and regional ingredients, served simply.
Everything we stock is here because we like it and
we hope you do too. We have taken great care to
create a menu that reflects our passion for what
we do and the products we love, not to mention
the people who make them
Staff were so accommodating, meal was lovely and really comfortable setting.
A lovely Christmas lunch thank you very much
Too noisy food ordinary
We had our neighbourhood Xmas party here again this year and it was fantastic! Canapés were delicious and the staff assigned to our area (Jim and another man) were so attentive. Our glasses were never empty and there were always on hand. And great value for money too! Everyone raves about what a nice night it was. Thank you!
Another great breakfast, such excellent service and perfect atmosphere for a catch up!
Great food, lovely tidy restaurant.
Excellent meal. Service is great, menu has good variety and plenty of options for a restricted diet (whether it be dairy, gluten, vegetarian etc). Quality of the food was great, with nice wine options to go with it.
Lovely meal. Very busy when we went but service was excellent
All very good, nice food, nice drinks selection. A little bit pricey, but tbh I may be being overly picky as Edinburgh is just expensive these days.
Lovely food and friendly staff
Salmon burger over cooked. Chickpea burger lacked seasoning and general flavour - it was advertised as a burger, however the ‘flat bread’ was nothing more than disfigures tortilla wrap. The ‘Crispy Prawns On Brioche’ was under the Burger And Sandwich section of the menu, however was neither a burger nor sandwich; the prawns sat on a brioche bun, but where was the top bun / sandwich slice? We thought our waitress came across as cold. Having said that, great atmosphere, but certainly not somewhere I’d endorse as a a good venue.
Restaurant a little chilly for me but lovely atmosphere and a good range of options on the menu. Super music on Sunday night with the folk singer.
Excellent food, beautiful atmosphere and great selection of gins! Highly recommended and we will return.
Waited 20 minutes for a booked table as the people before were still eating and then they forgot to get us from the bar. Otherwise good food and nice atmosphere. Been several times now and service has been slow every time
Excellent as always. A firm favourite.
Lovely meal thanks
We enjoyed a lovely meal, good portions, lovely ambience and great service. will be back!
Love having this place in the neighbourhood!
Friendly staff, good food, musical entertainment (male vocalist) when we were there was great!
Great place. Food is lovely and the atmosphere perfect with great service. Would highly recommend.
Great breakfast menu - good service - nice relaxed atmosphere.
Great food, love the live music
Great - thanks!
Food very good Hospitality for dog excellent!
We went on various recommendations by friends Mixed ratings from our group of 5, Thai style mussels were lovely, however no finger bowl supplied. Extremely overpriced for the cauliflower steak and disappointing that the plates were not heated, cooling the food down before the whole table had been served. Burgers were mediocre for their price, sliced steak was tasty, the chicken liver pate was lovely but the toasted bread with it was greasy.... Staff were very attentive despite the restaurant being busy.
