About Herb Restaurant
Patty Neumson grew up along the shores of Southern Thailand, where she learned at an early age that quality food is an essential ingredient to good living. From the age of 4, Patty watched her mother and grandmother prepare savory Southern Thai dishes from scratch. Using the bounty of the lush district of Khanom and the sea, Patty (age 6) began preparing dishes to be sold at Khanom Market alongside her grandmother. From her mother she learned to prepare delicate pastry, which she sold at school to classmates and faculty alike. Her passion for cuisine and her aptitude for entrepreneurship lead her along a path of study from Bangkok to Chicago to learn how to heal with food.
Patty leads a healthy lifestyle through holistic medicine and nutritious cuisine. She believes in preparing fresh, nutritious meals to assist her guests in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Her goal is to assist them in making healthier choices and to make them aware that eating healthy doesn’t mean sacrificing flavor or variety but most importantly style. To fuse her enthusiasm for holistic remedy and the nostalgic gastronomy of her youth comes the concept of Herb. Herb is Thai food redefined for an audience that demands quality ingredients and a caveat of health in their adventures of haute cuisine.
