Everything about our visit was fantastic from the lovely lady who looked after us and could really do no more for us to the beautiful afternoon tea. Would definitely and have already recommended to my friends and family.
Not enough staff on had to wait quite a long time for our drinks.
Beautiful decor in the restaurant, very comfortable. We were the only guests dining in the restaurant until half way through our meal, this initially made me a little uneasy as to what the quality of food would be like! I was wrong!! The food was absolutely amazing, and made my trip to the Osprey Hotel. The presentation, quality and taste of all our food was amazing with an equally fantastic price point (covered under hotel package) the waiter who served us was very friendly, relaxed and helpful. I will come back for this quality and class of food! Serious complements to the chefs
Staff were lovely. The place was empty and there was dirty tables around. Service was slow. Food was lovely.
Great food and excellent service
Excellent service and delicious food warm friendly atmosphere Micheala was absaloutely brilliant so friendly and accommodating would definitelybe back. Sarah
Really great service with a smile. So accommodating as we were an awkward bunch of 12 with several different dietary requirements. The staff were lovely and so helpful. Would definitely return.
The staff were excellent, friendly, efficient and added to the whole occasion.
We asked to move table to the table beside us as the sun was in my mums eyes and in the direct sunlight. My mum has a problem with her eyes and has been attending the hospital for injections in her eye and it was also a night away for her bday celebrations. When we asked to move the hostess made a face and reluctantly moved us to the table beside us, we had not started eating or made a mess at the table which we were sitting at. We were told somebody had booked the table we wished to move to but yet we were in the restaurant till 10 last night and nobody sat at the table beside us. To be honest the whole episode was unnecessary. The waiting staff were courteous and even sang happy birthday to my mum but the episode with the hostess was not nice and unnecessary. We will not be back again. I have been to a lot of hotels in my time and never have I been made feel like we are a burden it was a special occasion and the hostess certainly did not make us feel welcome or special.
No Budweiser available, our first choice of red wine not available. Shortage of waiting staff, delay in our starters coming out.
waited for 45 minutes for 2 starters then a further 20 minutes for or main courses, when it did arrive food was lovely and well presented, though could have been hotter, wasn't charged for starters due to the long wait and given a bottle of wine to take home which was nice, but doesn't make up for the dreadfully long wait. found the prices reasonably good value for money. Place is lovely, really nice since the refurb but the service was very very poor, will probably go back to give it a second chance, unsure yet...
We had dinner in the restaurant and the staff were very nice and pleasant. Overall however we did not enjoy the experience. The restaurant was very cold. An exit door was left open by staff. The food was nice but overpriced for the portion size. The starter course was very small for the price of 10.50eur. We had to wait 20 minutes and ask twice for our bill even though there were only two other tables dining in the restaurant. The bill was then incorrect as we had a free meal included in our stay and should have only been charged for drinks/extras. We had explained this when we arrived however we were given a bill with full charges and we had to wait again for it to be changed. After our dinner we booked in for afternoon tea for the next day with staff taking the booking. When we arrived for afternoon tea we were told that there was no record of us having booked for afternoon tea. We left quite disappointed.
Dinner menu is quite misleading. Goats cheese and potato pavé had no potato in it and lemon tart said it had meringue and it didn’t. Other than the menu, everything was perfect.
Nice friendly service and reasonable food. The white wine would be much better if chilled.
Food wasn't the best. The rib eye was way to small for the price. We waited over an hour for service. Only good thing was the chowder. Staff were very helpful and friendly but overall experience was a 3/10 due to the price and the quality of the food
I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Herald and Devoy. Fabulous décor, food and staff. I had the scallops and hake and both were amazing. Many thanks!
Had a lovely meal on Valentines day with my partner including free champagne. Steak was beautiful too.
We had a great experience, staff very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious! We will be back.
Starters were lovely, waited at least 30 mins before dishes taken away then waited for dinner. Dinner arrived dried out and hard, obviously from carvery. I had roast beef that I could not cut, over cooked black veg and 1 rock hard roast potato, I sent it back and was told that it was all the same and did I want to order another dinner. I ordered the cod, which arrived 30 mins plus later, and ate alone as others finished. My husband had the ham which was black underneath, everthing covered in sauce to hide the burnt bits. So disappointing as we had planned to celabrate my daughters confirmation here and wanted to check it out, so glad we did now. All the 4/5 waiters who served us were lovely but couldn't be found or seen as probably covering the carvery... we are always looking out for somewhere new to eat.but this lovely decorated eatery won't be it, back to the drawing board for confirmation ...
Staff very friendly a special mention to the staff on duty at breakfast
Food was amazing.. we also had massages booked after our food..only down fall was my massage was ment to last half hr and only lasted 20 mins and my stones were cold not hot.. I spoke to a lovely lady called Laure who looked after me regarding this matter she was very polite and professional and because of Laure I will be back in June when the spa is completed.
Had such an amazing time here. The staff and the food was amazing
Excellent service. Excellent staff . Staff couldn't be nicer. Excellent value for money. A perfect first year anniversary dinner. Thank you to all the managers who wished us well and a very special thank to kyle our waiter u made our night so so special.
Had the most fabulous time, the staff were excellent all the way through from when i made the reservation right up to the point where we were awkwardly splitting the bill between 12 of us. would highly recommend the venue for food and service, the restaurant is a lovely decorated comfortable room too and bar was good fun.
It is not easy to make a booking at the Osprey hotel. I must have called over 8 times to make this reservation. I did not have many options in Naas to go elsewhere and I would have to think twice about coming back to the Osprey again. It is excellent value for money, but the customer service is very poor.
