Henrock — a new, informally elegant restaurant by Simon Rogan.
True to Simon Rogan's ethos, the focus lies on beautiful local ingredients including produce from Our Farm located just a few miles away in the Cartmel Valley.
With dishes that are rooted in British cooking and ingredients, Henrock’s small plates and sharing dishes are influenced by techniques and produce discovered on our team’s travels around the world.
The restaurant Henrock is open daily for dinner, and lunch on Sundays.
The food was very simple , there should have been a corresponding wine list. The deserts were a joke. Ice cream or a brownie 🙈 The views are amazing and the staff were efficient , friendly and attentive. Very disappointing. Not in a hurry to go back
Our second visit to Henrock's Pop Up Terrace restaurant. Glorious situation overlooking Windermere and the hills beyond. Small menu but the food was beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are wonderful and looked after us with rugs against the evening chill. We're sorry that this Pop Up restaurant will close soon as we've really enjoyed it as an informal place to eat at Linthwaite. We shall miss it and wish that it could remain for casual dining, complementary to the more formal Henrock experience within the hotel dining room. There must be lots of people who will prefer to eat outdoors during the summer months as they get used to the end of Covid restrictions.
Regulars at Henrock. The staff are always amazing and deliver excellent customer service in a friendly manner. They deserve to have their hard work acknowledged. Had a relaxed meal enjoying the views. Booked into restaurant next week and can’t wait!
So much more than burger and chips! We absolutely loved the experience, the utterly delicious food, and the view. We cannot wait to visit Henrock again. The talent in your chefs and front of house team, across your restaurants is so exciting and special. This terrace experience was no exception
We had lunch on the pop up terrace and very much enjoyed the whole experience. Service, food, drinks combined with shelter. heating and blankets made (for us) a perfect Sunday Lunch. Have already recommended a visit to the bar and restaurant to many friends. Thank you.
Lovely lunch! And great outdoor service. Cant wait to come back and stay next time.
It was a bit disappointing that staff members were given the best table with the lake view after we arrived, particularly as we’d asked to sit there and was told it was specially reserved. We were also not made aware of the specials - would definitely would have had the ribs!
Excellent service and delicious food and drinks, would definitely recommend!
Loved our night Thankyou
Food and service were great while also being friendly and relaxed. It was lovely to get back to a little bit of normal, even if it was outside but the weather was kind to us. We all said the setup would go down great for summer months Thanks all
Really loved our time at Henrock, lovely meal with generous portions. Amazing standards, given it was all outside eating with very good service by friendly staff. We will love to return. Perhaps sometime in the coming year you will do lunches again.
We booked Henroc pop up for a Sunday evening.. Loved the atmosphere as the sun went down and the lights started to twinkle. There was a limited menu but it didn’t matter in the least. We were a party of four and all enjoyed the selections we made. Excellent service from friendly efficient team. Thank you. Coming back for an afternoon tea while the pop up is still there. Unique position and spectacular views.
The food and setting were incredible, however it was the service which stood out and made it the best night!
Everything was great but the “Loaded Fries” were disappointing as it was just fries with some bits sprinkled on top, a long way from what we thought it might be.
Henrock and Linthwaite House is our favourite dining experience bar none. The small attentions to detail are just incredible. Music at just the right volume, someone always there to pull out your chair and provide anything needed, but without being intrusive. Can't wait to come back when the restaurant is allowed to open again. Of course the food was as always exceptional
Wonderful. Really loved it. Wish we could have stayed all day! Food was fantastic, service great and location exceptional
I take my hat off to establishments who make the effort to offe outside dining in the UK at this time of the year. Henrock provided another memorable dining experience . The Team deserve a special mention for their fortitude in consistently delivering a quality product come rain, hail or shine. Simple amazing😀
Excellent set up given the current COVID rules. Great food combinations and drinks. I look forward to coming back and eating inside on 22nd May
Lovely lunch in the pop-up terrace at Linthwaite. The staff were amazing and did so much to make us feel welcome and to keep us warm (hot water bottles!). This is a wonderful venue for summertime lunch and dining, overlooking Windermere. I would love to see the terrace stay open for the summer months of the year and would certainly come regularly.
We had a marvellous time. The food was delicious and the staff warm (unlike the weather), courteous and professional. My only gripe were the cocktails. Mine (the zombie) in particular seemed very lacking in alcohol (it was a tasty beverage - but despite having 3 types of rum, I would not have been surprised to be told it was a soft drink (and disproportionately expensive compared to the very reasonable food prices).
Wonderful setting and service. Food a bit limited but under the circumstances understandable. Lovely experience on the whole.
As expected, the food was amazing. Despite the awful weather, the service was brilliant, all the staff were very helpful, attentive and welcoming.
Sooo tasty. Such a can do attitude to get on with it in such difficult times. I hope the pop up stays indefinitely along with the hot water bottles ! Only negative was the slightly expensive wine list
