Great pizza, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. somewhat pricey but, on balance, worth it.
Great food and great service 😊
First time we have had breakfast at the Drift- Was excellent- Will definitely come again 👍🥰
Really enjoyed our meal as we only live around the corner it is just a small walk away and we will definitely return.
Our favourite place on the island- Lovely location- Staff are always very friendly and helpful
Brilliant night and great service
Covid safe from start to finish. Great food, attentive staff. Felt very comfortable and safe.
The bill was wrong 3x lucky we checked it. Two of the tapas dishes tasted charred. It was hard to order a drink.
You have been brilliant. Thank you for keeping our spirits up
Great breakfast - big portions / well cooked - had to wait a bit - but think it was because of the baked eggs - will defo be back
Gary and his team couldn’t be more welcoming. The food is really excellent, the only criticism is the portion sizes - so enormous. A great place.
Has a lovelymeal here. Have marked the atmosphere 5 but was during covid so couldn't really asses that element. The rest was perfect and there was a good selection of different fish.
Really enjoyed the breakfast. Service was very good. We will be back
We had to wait 15 mins as some walk ins were given are table and still hadn’t finished. We were given no cutlery. The service was frantic and the staff seemed stressed. I understand these are difficult times however reservations should get preference over walk ins and it wasn’t a relaxed experience.
Took over 20 minutes to get our first drink. Then my birthday cake my friends bought for me, and added extra decorations, was given to another customer , sparklers and all 😢 Staff had to go out to Tesco to buy a replacement. Whilst not the same as the original one, they did their best to rectify their error! Certainly a birthday to remember 😂 I hope the other “Jackie” enjoyed my cake 😂 Overall, lovely staff 😁
Really friendly staff, amazing views and the pizza me and my girlfriend had was amazing 👏
Really enjoyable evening.
The young lady that served us was first class . She was pleasant extremely covid compliant and made the effort , explained the menu without being pushy with excellent timing . Food quality was amazing !! Setting was beautiful !! Atmosphere regardless of covid was enjoyable !! All in all 5 stars xxx
I booked a table for us and our grandson and his girlfriend to treat them for doing well in their exams. They are both 17 and look older as all teenagers seem to! Tonight was the worst experience we’ve had at Drift. The initial waitress came to our table 3 times in the first 5 mins asking if we were ready to order. We were still waiting for our grandson and partner to arrive and hardly had time to take our coats off and settle. Once they arrived we tried to order alcoholic drinks for them and us and were told they couldn’t have any as they didn’t have I.d I pointed out the government guidelines were 16 and 17 year old could have beer, wine or cider if eating and accompanied by adults. We were still told as they had no I.d they couldn’t have alcohol. We accepted this but it took the shine off as we wanted them to feel like the young adults that they are and have a celebratory drink with our meal. We ordered our food, still being hassled before we had a chance to look at the menu properly. It was all cooked well but very overpriced for what we had. We didn’t bother with dessert as felt £8.50 was too expensive! My idea of a celebratory evening with my family, drinking cocktails and eating good food and having a lovely time didn’t come off and we left at 7.30pm Disappointed
Had a great meal, good choice, girls were fabulous customer service wise.
I booked a table for 11.15am for my husband/son. On arrival, they were told they could wait until 11.30am for the lunch menu. As they were both looking forward to pizza, they were happy to wait. At 11.28am my husband called the waitress over to be told that the lunch menu doesn't start till 12 and they had 2mins to order from the breakfast menu. On questioning what was on offer between 11.30 and 12 - my husband was ignored. They enjoyed their breakfast but not a great experience...hence thec 2star rating.
Very good value, but this was due to 'Eat Out to Help'. The waiters were very attentive and made sure we had a good time.
Our first visit to drift was a 5 star experience so we decided to go back the following week and it was a bit disappointing. We loved the belly of pork lolly pops the first time the were crispy and juicy this time they were mouthfuls of fat. Pizza was still good. Not sure when I’ll go back now
Wonderful meal. Lovely staff. Beautiful setting
We always get a fantastic reception and excellent service from all of the staff. They all make time to stop and chat, work permitting, every time we go, we think of them more as friends now as opposed to members of staff. Along with the high standard of service the food is always excellent along with the wide range of drinks on sale. Cleanliness is also way above average and they are all coping with Covid 19 very well indeed. Keep up the good work and we'll see you mext weekend.
